I had 1 of these in my shop, it was pretty good. I got an LP59, it's a very GOOD vintage style LP copy for $450! Had to change the tuners in it tho as they sucked!
I'm pretty happy with the stock pickups! Sound good enough for what I do, which is mainly distorted. Maybe for cleans/blues, a pickup upgrade might be more noticeable
i've had other artist guitars before and they were insane for their price, i'm planning to get one of these and chuck fishman fluence's in it and get a better bridge and machine heads, maybe even throw a bone nut on it, get a guitar that plays like a $3,000 esp-eii for under $1,000
I've bought 2 Artist guitars in the past and BOTH had electronic issues... funny enough I bought a couple rechargable battery packs from them too and both of those had issues. Never buying anything with the brand "Artist Guitars" on it ever again lol.
Oh interesting! You're right about the bone nut. I always found that when tuning this guitar, strings need a bit of bending/wiggling before they settle into their real pitch. Can be deceptive and go out of tune right afterwards if im not aware of it. It's fine if I check the tuning is correct after bending the string a bit. Usually thats a result of a not great nut. Might just be the one I got, but not a big deal I suppose!
I haven't seen anything recent that wasn't a false positive. Also, these guys are Aussie run and managed so you'd hope that they're ensuring nothing sus like lead is being put in their instruments. If you've got any examples of Artist guitars with lead I'd be keen to know more
I have that exact guitar. I love it.
Great playing! Loved the Marigold riff and expression after pulling it off lol
Hahah thanks bro! Love that you said "pulling it off" as well, I messed up at that section and had to stop. But I'll take it lol
@@KarzGuitar haha yeah that made me laugh. It looks easy but its a difficult riff. Mark Holcomb is a very underrated musician but hes so good!
@@fhratul yeah! Very unique stuff. Love the main riff from Wax Wings on the last album

Great work, really nice playing and mix
Thanks man!
Great review and fantastic playing! Would you feel any need to put emgs/fishmans in it or are you happy w the stock pick ups?

@KarzGuitar Sweet! I might have to try this out myself, looks like a cool alternative to an eclipse without the eclipse price tag haha

I luv the riff in 3:18, is that a Black Dhalia Murder riff?
Haha it's actually Marigold by Periphery!
@@KarzGuitar damn! That was sick!

Wow, sorry to hear that! Hope they treated you right with returns and swaps. Fair move on your part to avoid them after that experience lol
@@KarzGuitar sent back the 3 and had fun smashing the blue cloud gnosis guitar 🤣🤣
Bad batch!
I have the same guitar and it really is a steal for the price. What is wrong with the nut? I am pretty sure it is meant to be bone

$369 on their site. How did you get it for $250?
Check currency? Their prices are in AUD and im talking in terms of USD in the video.
Chinese guitars makers have been testing positive for lead... careful what you endorse, kids are the biggest concern!!

Just DON'T lick your fret board!
They just stole the fretboard inlays from ESP.
The shape, too!
@@KarzGuitar the 3 knobs position is the same, the shape is different.
