I keep a crochet hook handy when I'm knitting so that if I drop a stitch or two it's easier to pick up with the crochet hook..thank you for these tips....really helpful

I’m sitting here with a huge grin on my face - after laughing at...myself! For yeeears I have chased dropped stitches by (are you ready??) knitting backwards! I have spent SO much time and energy (needlessly!) chasing dropped stitches lol. Watching your video gave me the exact same “Ah-Ha!” moment/feeling I have had - like when my first really great math teacher in college (!) explained how and why a formula worked and I understood it clearly! You have a GIFT for teaching! You clearly understand what knitters don’t see or understand, which is actually a rare trait in teachers, instructors, trainers, managers, etc. Follow that with an open, accessible, non-judgmental style, and top it off with well-explained, easy-to-understand directions that can be followed at a pace that allows users to literally follow along, and you have exactly what it takes to bring ALL knitters, not just beginners, to a new level, or the desire to achieve a new level, which can be the same thing! If you are not a professional instructor, teacher, or manager, and you want to be one, you have all sorts of paths available to you. Ok, so I got way off-topic (not too surprising, considering I taught myself how to knit backwards instead of how to pick-up a dropped stitch!) but you have a rare and wonderful gift. Thank you!

What a superb video! I love the fact that you used extra large needles and chunky yarn to make the stitches very apparent. Your pace was excellent and your verbiage was spot-on. Good job!

I started knitting yesterday and am now spending hours and hours knitting a scarf with really fine yarn.:P But hopefully the result will be worth it. Btw, isn't a lifeline especially handy for a beginner like me? I keep messing up my stitches, losing them and stuff like that.

Hi,tip number 5 and 6 really helped me because before watching your video i was counting the rows wrong. And since i didn't know how to start from the mid row i never left it in the middle and always used to finish the row even if it was an emergency but after seeing tip number 6 i did not have to worry about leaving the row in between.
    Thank you for these tips.

I have just started knitting and your video was awesome. I had just finished my first scarf a week ago and wished I had found this before hand. I feel like you have seen my scarf, because your video covered ever single problem I encountered, especially number #10. I also would have saved hours of starting over, if I had known about the "life line" tip.
I will now go and start over and I know it will come out beautifully. Thank you so much! Everyone of the 10 tips will be used...Fantastic Job!!

I learned knitting when i was 8 from my grandma. Then I learned it again when I was 21 and knitted a neat scarf with my mother together, that I still wear. Now I'm almost 30 and beside my newly find passion for crochet, I started to knit again. It is hard to find time for it, but it makes me at ease. It is a good hobby. :)

Thank you so much for these tips. I was wondering how to fix a dropped stitch, now I know. All these tips are really very useful for me. I specially like the one I just mentioned and the "lifeline" tip. I am presently working on a simple K3, P3 pattern, and, somehow, no matter how carefully I try to remember to take my worked stitch off my left needle, I wind up with extra stitches, sometimes. With using a "lifeline," as you demonstrated, it will be so much easier to correct my mistake(s). Thank you again for sharing all these tips.

Thanks for those tips and the beautifully made video. I've only recently come across wool and the gang and with christmas approaching I'm in full warm socks, coffee (usually forgotten whilst knitting) and cozy lighting knitting mode. =D I've been browsing through all your different yarns and with the sales going on at the moment I'd love to find a nice color and yarn to make a scarf, hat or blanket or other with. A video idea I have for you guys would be something in which you present your different yarns and a selection of popular colors with knitting samples. Have a great Christmas season.

You are AMAZING!!! So many unanswered questions I had....This was the best video for one who had completed some projects, but stil have some basic questions. One more question though...you said that you may need to alter your tension (I understand that) or move up/down in the size of the needles...what would that do if I was using your same needles and yarn size? If I go smaller, I'd think it would get denser...right? Kudos...I'm a fan and subscriber!

Love this! Question if I am making a blanket out of the granny stitch washcloth, but huge. There is a yarn over in it. When placing my lifeline when I make a mistake and pull back to the lifeline how do I know where the yarn over is so I don’t miss the stitch?
