Wow! You just hit the most beautiful part of Arizona in my opinion, maybe the whole country. Too bad how developed and expensive it has gotten, but would like to visit again. Used to live in Phoenix and visited quite often.

Stunning! Been there a couple of times and the scenery is just breathtaking! Thought you might have gone up to the airport. Besides Telluride , Sedona must have the most scenic location for an airport

Not your average tourist trap. Looks like gas was reasonable. All you have to do is look up just a little and know you're not in Kansas anymore. AZ 89A was Alternate US 89 before decommissioning; AZ 179 was built to connect to I-17.

Seems they could’ve just left it as 89 alternate.

@@MileageMikeTravels I'm sure you know this already, but US highways often get decommissioned when an Interstate takes over most of the traffic, or is eliminated totally by the interstate, in this case I-17 and I-40. US 89 starts back up in Flagstaff and goes all the way to south of Salt Lake CIty, with some iterations of US 89A showing up here and there.

AZDot decommissioned US 89 in most of Arizona after I-10, I-17 and I-19 were finished. US 89 was a Canada-to-Mexico route, ending at Nogales. North of I-40 at Flagstaff, the route still meanders north and becomes AB 2, headed for Calgary.

I wish you continued giving us a little info about of the city/town/freeway you were touring. I know it was just a copy/paste from wiki but still lol
Or maybe share some of your thoughts on the city/town? That’s a lil bit too much though, I know haha
I see you’d made it to Vegas! Hope LA county is next 🤞🏼🤞🏼 That sure is going to be one hella of a series lol

Might talk about it at some point on one of the other channels.
