I grew up in kingman. We moved to sw Missouri when i was 13 or 14. I dont know that I would ever go move back, but there is something about that area I love. You can take a man out of the desert, but you can't take the desert out of the man.
Why does everyone always film Old Town Kingman thinking that is all there is to Kingman and completely missing the part of Kingman that has all the growth and commercial area. This gives everyone the perception that there is not much there. Kingman is growing.
This is actually the first video I've come across that showed that far north from I40 on Stockton hill. If they would've went just a little farther they would've hit northern Ave and close to where I used to live. My aunt and uncle used to live in the mobile home up the hill straight across northern if it's still there.
I spent a lot of time in Kingman in the late 70s and 80s. It looks essentially the same as back then. The worst of Americana strip mall urban landscape and a general lack of any character. Please elect better city leadership. The town has potential but nothing in 40 years has capitalized on it.

The wild burros are in Oatman, which is about 15 miles SW of Kingman. Oatman is essentially an old mining town.
