This guy Larry is an avid collector, a real collector who has put in hours, years, era of dedication, diligence, patience and honesty in his quest to build one of the finest and fabulous collections ever. He certainly doesn't have all the Hot Wheels in the world coz Frankly speaking no one can have, but certainly his is the most impressive collections I have seen till date. Rightly said at the end - to many more to come in his collection. I wish him luck and success for his years ahead... What a legacy and what a hobby! Kudos Larry. And thank you buddy for filming this one to allow us a glimpse into Larry's collection.

I showed the guys I was working with today and they really enjoyed looking at all the vehicles in the collection. They liked Scooby Doo and the super hero vehicles. Thanks for doing the video as it allowed everyone to join in his collection. Thanks Larry for allowing Brentton to film you collection and sharing it with the world.

I only collect 1/43 scale models but I wouldn't mind at all having such a impressive collection :))

Impressive collection. A lot of work to build up. I have been collecting off and on since the early 1970s. Keep it up. I currently about 4000 cars and trucks. Various scales but mostly 1/64 scale now.

@@alloutoctane I have a wide range of stuff. Some of it is from.places and companies i have little info on. Just a note to all collector's out there focus on quality and your interests. Big numbers look impressive but without any heart and interest in what you get it really not worth doing. Some buy a lot to just resell them again. That is fine but putting a bit of thought one makes for a more meaningful collection. When it comes time for your 30th anniversary do nice detailed look into your past and how you got to your present state. Keep up the collecting!!

and.....Larry's wife moved out about 8 years ago.....or if not, she's one VERY patient and understanding woman ! Ha! Amazing collection...I wish I just had the amount of room Larry has - much less the collection.....I'll be damn glad when this virus crap ends and I can get out to a few collector shows and do a few flea markets (I have SO much crap to sell nowadays).....and If Larry is not married - well gentlemen....this just shows ya all the cool stuff you can buy by staying single! Ha! Curious....didn't see any of the vintage HW stuff from the 60's and 70's...
Hopefully you will be able to get out again soon to buy and sell. Larry does have an extensive collection. He has cars that he rotates. The Part 2 video is out. All the shelves in that video are the same ones as this video, but with different cars because he changed the displays up.

Been collecting for 24 years. Larry has an awesome collection. Looks like he has spent a small fortune. I focus on Camaro's and currently have over 1600 different ones. Also have many other sub collections as it looks he does too. Thanks for showing it.
Wow! That is a long time collection with what sounds like an amazing amount of awesome vehicles! Isn't it cool that you can have a focus on Camaros and have that many of them? 1600 different Camaros is just awesome! He does have a number of sub collections. I know he collections Camaros as well, along with Batman themed vehicles. I do believe a small fortune has gone into Larry's collection hahaha The life of collectors never really does come cheap as I'm sure you know :) hahaha I'm glad you have spent 24 years collecting and I hope your collection continues to grow and you enjoy the hobby for many more years to come!

He's a collector. I'd consider hoarding to be having multiples of everything and not selling anything. Larry sells a lot of stuff and keeps things flowing. Part 2 shows a lot of new things.
This is NOT a 28 yr old Hot Wheel collection. Most of it's new millennium.
hahaha It isn't a 28 year olds collection. It is 28 years of collecting. This was filmed in 2020, and so if you subtract 28, you get 1992. There are plenty of pieces in this video that are before 2000. (see *note* below as well) I do understand that there are collectors out there who go after the older stuff, pre 1995 or millennium or so. I think Larry has a great mix of cars in his collection and fits the time frame of the 28 years he has collected, roughly since 1992.
*note* Stay tuned because part 2 of this collection is going to be coming out in the next few days and that video will have a lot more stuff.
Also, I am 32 myself, and have LOTS of stuff from the 90's because I grew up with cars from that time frame. People go after certain things and collect what they like.

@@alloutoctane Looks like you're struggling with comprehension here. My comment isn't towards the person, but rather the age of the collection. It's primarily newer stuff.
I sort of understood. I was trying to point out that 1992 is roughly more of the modern era of cars. I think most collectors started more so around when the first treasure hunts came out.
Part 2 is coming out soon and that has older stuff, but still nothing 70s or 80s if that is what you are looking for. But it will have sets and cars closer toward the turn of the century. Stay tuned.

He does not.

Thanks! I don't have much of focus. I tend to collect all the new mainline models, except for some of the fantasy castings. I don't collect character cars or Disney stuff. Larry collects Batman and Camaros.

@@alloutoctane He may be referring to the bands HW'S put around their cars to hold them in place. I've heard from other collectors that they can penetrate the paint and cause harm to the finish. Again, I'm guessing that's what was being referenced.

That feels like hoarding. How about put all that money into one 1:8 scale Amalgam....
Each person has their own collection. Perception of space is also something that one has to keep in mind. And if that were also the case, why stop at 1/8. Why not just save for a 1:1? Collecting is fun no matter what size or scale :)
