I've been collecting Matchbox and Hot Wheels for over 35 years now and in those years of hunting brick and mortar stores I've probably had less than 10 times where employees from whatever store would let me go through and open boxes like this, most say " all we have is what is on the shelf" and seeing this honestly is disheartening to see bc of being such a huge collector like myself and always not being able to find models I would love to have but never being lucky enough to find on the pegs especially only finding one Matchbox Super chase in those 35 years it's kinda like it's not fair and opening box after box and only getting Treasure Hunts, Super Treasure Hunts and Super Chases 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

I'm not jealous but it's like you're not giving collectors the opportunity to have that amazing experience when I found my only Super chase in 35yrs, I drive all over my area store after store then planning days off from work to go out of town hunting I mean this truly hurts my heart bc how much I love these little cars and it's so sad to think about how long I've been collecting Matchbox and Hot Wheels to have ONE SUPER CHASE and eBay's prices for Matchbox and Hot Wheels is absolutely outrageous then omg😮 OMG shipping prices so I'm just saying it's so hard to watch!!!!!! I'm sorry for going on and on about this.....thank you buddy and have a good day!!!!
Opening boxes it's not really consider finding..in my opinion...theirs no best feeling finding them on the pegs hanging in the real wild...but congrats!!!🎉🎉

I've been told you can't open cases. It's official. They have so many reasons for it. Unfortunately there are really bad collectors and then nice polite collectors that open cases.

Guys like this have distorted the hobby. I see unopened cases but never open them ,man it's just bad collecting and shows lack of respect to all store and collectors alike.

Just found that bmw super a few days ago! Convinced an employee to pull a case out of the back and the one she pulled had a super! Lucky lucky!!!

The Walmart and targets by me have a no tolerance policy. Bottom line is if you’re caught taking cases off a pallet or involved in any way. The store will ban you from coming in for 1 year. If your caught twice doing it your banned for life. The problem is on different occasions people pulled cases off a pallet and boxes came crashing down injuring people.

How does the brother get to go through so many cases. Where I’m from stores only get one case at a time every 2 months. And they always love to order the stuff that no one wants like the ford diorama they got like 20 of those that no ones touching

Brickseek used to be king for pallet raiding.
Find a employee and ask especially if the pallets/stock are out on the floor. I have 3 walmarts in my area and have permission from employees all 3. But I've been told by all that if it's on the floor it's out to be sold so it can be gone through. But I also try and help by pegging them if I open the case and offer that to the employee when I've asked. Good luck

2 days ago I was on a hunt cause I have school break, I asked an employee during restock if she had a case I could open. She didn’t find any on the pallets so she ended up out front and came out with a basket. Found the aint fare TH and the civic. Yesterday also at a target I was expecting a thin selection because I was there at like 12:00 ish, walked over and found d a skyline

No, there is over 50+ guys in my area that hunt. It’s hard to get your hands on a fresh case.
I found out that Matel said that the Porsche from the Porsche set is not a chase plus they never made it as a chase
Well the Red Camaro is indeed a Chase Cause Mattel declared it as an actual Chase as for the Porsche it is not a Chase which collectors keep saying it’s a chase, a Chase won’t a number on the card
Both the 914 and red Camaro are chases, and confirmed by Mattel.
Now things are getting out of hands with what’s a chase or not for sure 🙄😂

This ruins collecting. I’d feel like a jackass if I posted these videos. Can’t believe Mattel supports this kind of collecting rather than to get a hold of retailers and tell them to stop letting TH-cam video making scalpers open cases like this.

@@kallikantzaros4444 just cause it’s hard to find don’t mean it’s an actual chase. Cars come in sets and sometimes they don’t come in the full set. Call Mattel themselves and they will tell you it’s not. Now on the New vintage sets the red Camaro indeed IS a chase.

You have to be consistent, always on the hunt. I always have the employees scan it so I know when it’s expected to arrive. I also help the employees so they want to help me, I never leave a mess. The people who typically say “I never find anything because of so and so” are the people who go to the store once a week in the afternoon and expect to find supers, chases, and complete sets. Hot wheels are popular, there is millions of collectors worldwide. You can’t expect to find desirable castings every time you walk into a store. If you want it you’ll have to work for it like the rest of us. It’s not easy.
Definitely sad seeing somebody pull a super with no excitement in their voice. Collectors like this have definitely ruined the hobby for many of us. If I by chance see an unopened case just sitting there by the pegs, and that’s happened probably less than ten times since I started collecting in 2003, then I’ll obviously open it. Scalpers and store employees who raid the cases have ruined this hobby. I enjoy going to flea markets and antique malls looking for hot wheels from the 90s and before. Nobody raids those cars and the amount of variations to look for is a blast. To find a super and not be excited about it is such a waste. They don’t know what true collecting is about
