I got a lot better survivability out of laguz friend 4 and glacies than i did out of spiked wall and arms of three. In the sims, she lost all of those matchups without Laguz Friend 4. the bulwark effect is really good, but it's just so difficult to survive the onslaught of nukes right now. if you're interested, let me know and i can dump the sims over in the discord for you all to play with.
For everyone asking about spiked wall, I assume that's because it's best in slot if you keep arms of the three, which Joel didn't do for either build. If you plan on keeping her prf special, go for spiked wall, otherwise I assume laguz friend/momentum outperformed it.
Having a unit like altina who is only a single year old be in the hall of forms. It feels like every other hall of forms brings a new set of possibilities by breaking old patterns.
I’m surprised you didn’t mention Spiked Wall at all when everyone says it’s the skill to grab on Altina. Even PM1 didn’t consider any alternatives from Spiked Wall. Why is that?
I pinned a comment about it. The survivability and damage output isn’t as good would with arms of three/spiked wall vs LF4 and glacies. I like the functionality of spiked wall better. Bulwark is fantastic, but my primary goal in a tank is to survive.
May and July might be hard months because I want to build and pick Altina from this HoF, L!Edelgard is one of the units that I also want to build and pick and Thórr is so tempting as well.
Altine probably the best unit here but i want new skills for Mia too. Second Ilyana in HoF in a row. Shame you didn't compare this young Ilyana to her regular version with weapon refine. i wonder who would be a better forma to pick up out of the ilyanas.
I am aiming for Nabata Altina. If i upgrade her even more into a great skill, she will be so broken that i feel like she will be absolutely amazing! So yeah, i am going for Nabata Altina she's my number 1 Radiant Dawn Empress of The Begnion Empire the 1st (No, i did not inculde Sanaki, who is a 37th empress of the Begnion Empire). Aside from jokes, Nabata Altina is going to be my new harder hitting unit as well as having a Distant Counter OG.
Speed is her dumpstat, so if you can have her at -Spd, any other Boon would serve her well and she's servicable at +0. Even Neutral is fine. But, getting +1 is never bad either.
Not impressed with Altinas available skills, probably better to wait for a rerun. Y!Ilyana tho, killing Nidhoggr if given an Arcane… I think I am sold!

Highly recommend A/D Spiked wall on Altina. Also excel is deceptively good on her

I've seen the Japanese player "1000" run Altina with LF4, Even Atk Wave N, and Null-C Echo.
I love 1000! My winter altina is jealous of his.
I have a +9 Altina that already has Spiked Wall so your builds offer me some more options here.

Would Reopening on Altina be a solid idea since it has Laguz Friend Dr cause her lack of follow ups without sacrificing arms of the three?
Just have a flier with crux tbh laguz friend special jump is insane
reopening not only punishes follow-ups but also brave attacks, you would get half of laguz friend DR if you choose reopening
