Frieda Hughes, poet and painter, details in memoir how saving a magpie changed her life

- In her new memoir, writer and artist Frieda Hughes, daughter of poets Sylvia Plath and Ted Hughes, chronicles how rescuing a magpie named George ultimately helped save herself. CBS News' Anthony Mason visits Hughes' home in Wales to talk about the book, "George: A Magpie Memoir," her art and how she finally created the home she always longed for.

I feel for her, I understand the pain she has gone through. I'm glad I started over, and got animals and a stress free life. Living in the Rockies is like living in Heaven to me. No one living anywhere close, and the views are Heavenly. Best wishes to her...
She is a very talented woman. Amazing artist. The motorcycle racing was totally unexpected. I would imagine it is the thrill of riding, and the thrill of racing that is the draw. Kudos to her for the work of rescuing birds. This is a great story.

Sylvia Plath poetry is not for everyone to read. It's not easy. But the Bell Jar was an interesting read.🤔 Compliments to the daughter for her painting activities.
