Thank you so much for this! So good to follow along to and it's taken away the fear of using my overlocker for the first time. Oh and I have a lovely little pouch too!😀
I'm at the beginning of my overlocking experience and I have enjoyed watching your videos. Your advice and tips are very helpful and I feel inspired to make a start now. Thankyou.
I love your projects. You make everything look so simple. I have had my overlocker for 4 months now and only do seams on my dresses. Not made anything else yet but watching your videos I hope that I can do some other stuff once I get used to using the overlocker. You are amazing. Thank you sharing. x
I absolutely enjoy your videos. Your sweet accent is soothing and your explanations genuinely help me as much as watching. You don't over explain like I'm an infant but you thoroughly show how to complete a project. Thank you. :)
Thank you for these instructions, I’ve just made 3 cushions with my new machine. Santa was very good to me, even though I’m always on his naughty list 😂
Loved the video and will definitey be trying this. Only thing I'd say is I didn't think the progressively LOUDER music at the end was really necessary!! (made me jump!)
That was just the standard foot wasn't it? I wish you'd shown a bit slower how you did the corners? My piping corners rarely seem to turn out right... I've always put the zip at the bottom, so if one side starts wearing, I can still use the other side. Seems so much easier to put it in the middle though, (not struggling with zip and piping) I might try a centre line zip next time, thank you
Welcome JIM and thanks for your question, Jim. This is a four thread overlock. Keep the tensions at factory settings, Brother and Singer machines at 4, Janome at 3 🧵✂️ good luck and happy sewing.
Hi loved the video. Quick question. How do you work out size of fabric for cushion you are making? If cushion 18”x18”, do you allow extra fabric for seams or same measurements as cushion? Beginner here and not sure. Thanks🙂
The piece of fabric that has been cut and stitched where the zip is - does it end up smaller than the other piece due to the seam allowances on both sides of the zip that is not on the other piece of uncut fabric?
Hi, I know this is an older project, it looks brilliant & you explain it all so well but can I ask you do you sew over the zip teeth?, I am worried they may damage overlocker . Thank you

You are so welcome! Hope you’re okay x
I really like your videos. You talk just the right amount and everything you say is clear and important. No fluffy chit chat. Thank you!!!
Thank you

Love the red cushion cover. My favourite colour with any fabric . Great tutorial.
Thank you. Looks like an easy project for any time a decorated cushion/pillow is needed.
Love your tutorials. Please keep them coming.

wow!! never knew you could make a cushion cover using just an overlocker.. looks like it requires experience. i'm not thst confident yet..
If you can serge straight lines , this is easy. Take your time, breath and it’s easy x give it a whirl, you’ll surprise yourself
This is great . May I ask what stitch you are using and what the tensions are ? I am a real beginner .

Tinker Bell I keep cushions cover same measurements as cushion including the seam allowance. So I’d cut the fabric 18” square
Hi love the video really helpful is it a invisible zip you used ?
The piece of fabric that has been cut and stitched where the zip is - does it end up smaller than the other piece due to the seam allowances on both sides of the zip that is not on the other piece of uncut fabric?
Yes it does I’m afraid. 😟 just trim down the bigger side a little. It’ll still fit x
did you just over lap the piping at the end?
Hi, I know this is an older project, it looks brilliant & you explain it all so well but can I ask you do you sew over the zip teeth?, I am worried they may damage overlocker . Thank you
Yes, sew over nylon zips not metal zips. The knife will only dull over the cotton fabric more than they will a plastic zip.
@@AbisDen Ah brilliant & thanks for answering so quickly didnt really expect a reply, your vids are so good thank you
Thank you!
Thanks
