Here are some things I do 1) read the books you are studying again so you are familiar with what you are reading and try to memorise some quotes 2) the York Notes revision guides are so useful for getting more information about themes/characters to put in your essays 3) bbc bitesize- useful for any subject but it has lists of techniques for english and information about the books you study and stuff
I'm assuming you will be doing both language and literature for English for GCSE unless you're not from the UK, however if you are, in my school for English lit we have 15 poems we have to analyze, a book, and 2 plays. If this sounds similar to you then I suggest reading a book you may have to read, analyze things such as poems, even song lyrics are a good tool :) for language, I suggest trying to get your subject terminology really well, take boring words and find much better words to replace them with, practice your punctuation and writing skills such as writing a letter or a poem or even a blurb(?) (the paragraph on the back of a book, I'm sure it's called that) i apologize if you're not from England and I've just rambled complete crap or you have to idea what I'm talking about, but if the exam criteria is similar then this may help :)
tbh the only advice for this is get kn with it procrastination is a mental thing.Turning your phone of helps. Get a lamp and ONLY use it for revision not normal homework not lighting ur room just for revision!! Everytime you start revising turn the lamp on but hwhenevver u stop for a break or just finished completley turn it off.Stick to it.Do this method everytime u revise so that when u start you just subconciously start.For more info look at marty lovdell study less study smart vid
A tip I'd give to you is (assuming you just started year 10) Make really good notes on what you're learning now and reread them lots as you'll need them in year 11, if you are in year 11 now I'd frequently go over what you've learned in year 10 so you don't have to rush back over it

Ive just started my a levels in sixth form and I'm doing product design, French, biology and psychology, and I was just wondering how do you fit around all your extra curricular activities because I don't do any but I want to and I want to do loads but how much and what kinds of things would you suggest would be good to do and could you do particular subjects videos like languages for a level epscially with the new a level spec❤️x
Flash cards are good - word on one side, English on other. Languages is the only subject that I used flash cards for. Also, you might as well make them on the computer and don't make them for words you know - it's a waste of time.

I watched this video planning on making a revision timetable and I just never did it😂 I still revised, but without a timetable. You don't need one but it's probably best to be organised. I just found revision less restricting and a bit more exciting because I had nothing planned

Find out what teachers are teaching what options and go for nice ones/ones you get on with because good teachers make all the difference, although if a teacher you don't like is teaching a subject you really want to do, do it and do as much work as you can in your free time so you'll still learn the stuff, even if you do spend lessons angry at the teacher. :))
I'm only saying this because I took a new subject (business studies) and I find the course interesting luckily but I really do not like the teacher and have to spend the next 9/10 months having him for lessons, and ofc I had him all of last year, and it doesn't really make me feel like I want to work because he just issues afterschools for people (me) getting 1 mark off their target grade and other stupid reasons and it doesn't really make me feel like I want to work in those lessons, whereas I have a great history teacher, he's funny and engages with the class and although I don't enjoy history as much I feel like I want to work more for my history teacher over my business teacher :))

Can you please please please do a video on exam anxiety and how to cope, because I've just gone into year 10 and I'm doing ok with the work and I'm pretty confident in doing the revision but when it comes to class exams and hall exams I stress. Don't listen to music AT ALL. It's so distracting even if it's classical or ambient.
I like to go to the library because then i dont watch youtube/netflix

There's this really great website called quizlet - it has some games that help test you, flash cards and loads of other helpful things :)
