ശരിയാണ് ഇവിടെ കുറെ ഉണ്ടാക്കന്മാരുണ്ട് ദാ ഇപ്പോൾ അരൂർ തുറവൂർ ഭാഗത്തും ഒരു പിണ്ണാക്ക് പണിയുന്നുണ്ട് ഭാവിയിൽ തലവേദന ആകും അത് എല്ലാവർക്കും പൈസ ഉണ്ടാക്കണം എന്ന ഒരു കാര്യമേ ഉള്ളൂ

കാൽനട യാത്രക്കാരെ കുറ്റം പറഞ്ഞിട്ട് കാര്യമില്ല. റോഡിലെ നടപ്പാത, സീബ്ര ക്രോസിങ്, ട്രാഫിക് സിഗ്നൽ, റോഡ് സൈഡിലെ കാന എന്നിവയൊക്കെ നല്ല രീതിയിൽ ശരിയായി പ്ലാൻ ചെയ്തു വേണ്ടതുപോലെ ആദ്യം ഉണ്ടാക്കണം. അതിനാണ് കുറെ ഡിപ്പാർട്മെന്റുകളും കുറെ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരും ഒക്കെ ഉള്ളത്. അവർ അവരുടെ ജോലി ആദ്യം കൃത്യമായി ചെയ്യണം. അങ്ങനെ വന്നാൽ ഇതൊന്നും ഒരു പ്രശ്നവുമില്ലാതെ നടക്കും. ലോകത്തു ഇതിന്റെ പത്തിരട്ടിയുള്ള തിരക്ക് എത്ര ഭംഗിയായി പല നാടുകളിലും മാനേജ് ചെയ്യുന്നുണ്ട് ! ഇവിടത്തെ പ്രശനം നമ്മുടെ നശിച്ച രാഷ്ട്രീയം തന്നെ ആണ്. അത് മാറ്റുവാനുള്ള താക്കോലും ജനങ്ങളുടെ കയ്യിൽ തന്നെ ആണ്. ബോധപൂർവം തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞു ഇനിയെങ്കിലും സമ്മതിദാന അവകാശം ഉപയോഗിച്ചില്ലെങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങളും നിങ്ങളുടെ മക്കളും അതിന്റെ അടുത്ത തലമുറയും ഇങ്ങനെ നരകിച്ചു ജീവിക്കേണ്ടി വരും എന്ന് ഓർത്താൽ നന്ന്!

നമ്മുടെ നാട്ടിൽ ട്രാഫിക് സെൻസ് വളരെ കുറവാണ്. ഫൈനും ലൈസൻസും പോകും എന്ന പേടി കാരണം വാഹനം ഓടിക്കുന്നവർ കുറെയൊക്കെ നിയമം പാലിക്കും. പക്ഷെ കാല്നടക്കാർ ഒരു നിയമവും പാലിക്കില്ല. കാരണം ഫൈൻ ഇല്ലല്ലോ. എല്ലാവർക്കും വലിയ തിരക്കാണ്. വണ്ടിയിടിച്ച് ചത്താലും വേണ്ടില്ല എന്ന മട്ടിലാണ് റോഡ് ക്രോസ്സ് ചെയ്യുന്നത്.

വരുന്ന വണ്ടിക്ക് മുന്നിൽ ചാടി വീണു കൈയ് കാണിക്കൽ ആണ് പുതിയ രീതി. നിർത്താൻ ഉള്ള സമയമോ പുറകിൽ ഉള്ള വണ്ടി ഇടിക്കാനുള്ള സാധ്യതയോ ഒന്നും ഇവർ നോക്കില്ല. നല്ല തിരക്കിൽ വണ്ടി പോകുമ്പോൾ ഈ നടു റോഡിൽ നിന്നു കൈ കാണിക്കുന്ന പരുപാടി തുടങ്ങിയത് ഈ ഇടെ ആണ്.
അതിനിടയില്‍ റോഡില്‍ക്കൂടി നടക്കാൻ കുറെ പശുക്കളും തെരുവ് നായകളും കൂടി വേണമായിരുന്നു.

ആറ്റിൻകുഴി, മുക്കോലയ്ക്കൽ, യു എസ് ടി, കുഴിവിള, ലോർഡ്സ് ഹോസ്പിറ്റൽ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ ഒക്കെ ഉള്ള സീബ്രാ ലൈനുകളിൽ വാഹനങ്ങൾ നിർത്തിയിടുന്നത് സ്ഥിര കാഴ്ചയാണ്. സീബ്ര ലൈൻ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് സുരക്ഷിതമായി റോഡ് ക്രോസ് ചെയ്യുന്ന കാൽനടയാത്രക്കാർക്ക് സീബ്രാ ലൈൻ ഒഴിവാക്കി നടന്നാൽ മാത്രമേ തിരക്കേറിയ റോഡ് ക്രോസ് ചെയ്യാനാവൂ എന്ന അവസ്ഥയാണ് പലപ്പോഴും.
യഥാർത്ഥത്തിൽ മേൽപാദ വേണ്ടിയിരുന്നത് ഇവിടെയാണ്, അതു ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ ജനങ്ങൾ റോഡ് മുറിച്ചു കടക്കില്ലായിരുന്നു. ജനങ്ങൾക്കെതിരെ നടപടികൾക്കു മുൻപ് സർക്കാർ ചെയ്യേണ്ടത് ഇത്തരം സൗകര്യങ്ങൾ അവിടെ ഏർപ്പെടുത്തുകയാണ് വേണ്ടത്. കൊച്ചിയിൽ മേൽപാദ ആവശ്യമില്ലാത്ത സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ എല്ലാം അത് സ്ഥാപിക്കുകയും ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ പോലും അതിൽ കയറാത്ത അവസ്ഥയുമാണ് കാണുന്നത്.
