The new manufacturer is given 4 charters and we would have a 40 car field. I do not know if NASCAR would go back to the old 43 Car field to allow three non-charter teams to race which I think would be ideal.
About the parking….I used to live 15 minutes away from the track and the traffic every race weekend at Pocono was a shit show. Most locals don’t even leave their homes on race weekend. I had VIP Passes so I was super pumped and having been to races there over the years, we knew to get there by 8ish to just tailgate and have breakfast so luckily we had no issue. However a friend of mine drove 10 hours from SC and sat in traffic there for 4 hours only to be told there was no more parking available and couldn’t get in. I felt horrible for him. I on the other hand a fabulous experience. I was there both days…so hoping I’d see at least one of you but I struck out. Yes I agree…pretty much if you’re in the lead…you’re going to stay in that position. However Saturday’s race to the finish was exciting as it looked like Algaier had a strong chance to take the lead for the win. I said yesterday that after watching the first 2 stages...some of it from Pit Road…that I bet people will say it was a snoozer but I found it exciting watching the jockeying for making it up to the front. I just knew Stage 3 would be where the wrecks would happen…it does in just about every single race because the drivers get the most aggressive then. I believe LaJoie was pissed at Busch for slightly bumping into him for the block and he retaliated by hooking him. I sucked seeing how many cars got caught up in the wreck. I am really happy for Ryan’s win…it was a well played race by him and his team.

Once you get to cup you can be a LITTLE more hands off because this is your top professional series. The drivers will establish the respected pecking order just like a brood of Chickens do. Gawd I was watching a race between AJ and Marcus Ambrose the other day (2014?) . Is SVG a sure thing? Absolutely not. That doesn’t exist in NASCAR with 40 cars lining up. AJ needs to step up. I’m pretty sure SVG has driven Watkins Glen in another series and tested on the Roval prior to Chicago last year. No Cup drivers at the Roval either.
