The drivers and teams may have a union, maybe a former driver can delve out punishment on behalf of management for any penalties ,fines and or suspension. The sport may actually have an off-season of rule changes instead of biweekly. The new car is awful and, it's a money grab. If NASCAR were truly concerned with making driver safety paramount above all. Then, the new car should have been used in the XFINITY Series where the drivers wreck often. But, the car is used in CUP because there is more money to take from those owners based on Sponsorship dollars. It's theft, in my opinion.

Makes me happy that fans are warming up to Leigh. He's a talented announcer and just like Mike Joy, you can tell he absolutely loves Nascar. His checker flag call at Daytona with Harrison Burton gets me every time I see it.
His upbeat style is reminiscent of old radio announcers like Ken Squire. They train to paint a picture. TV watchers can see the cars. If they stretch the excitement of a pass or closeness of another car we can see it. I think his biggest mistake was not letting Jeff Burton talk more during Harrison's win.
I hate his annoying announcing. Luckily I turn off the NBC sound & listen to XM. Not the best but so much better than a uninformed English guy & Blinky Burton. The worst EVER
Big Machine wanted Parker to come back but apparently Parker got a huge opportunity with one of the new TV partners who are covering Nascar starting next year. He told the team it's an opportunity that may not be there again if he kept racing full time

They really felt like Parker had done a great job helping them build that team and were excited to continue that next season. He said they tried their best to change his mind but ultimately Parker got a huge opportunity in broadcasting that doesn't come around very often and just felt like he had to take it

Proud moment of this show was hearing and seeing Casey light up and take it all in what Leigh and Bob was sharing. To us it was just a little info. To her you could tell she was with people she admired and was going to school in that moment. Let’s be honest she could do a remote truck series race and be at home with the baby and the race broadcast would be better.
This maybe an obvious question but say a car looses a fender, hood, bumper etc like we see all the time… how do they pass the weight inspection at tech?
That's taken into account but most of the time they wouldn't be Ones going through inspection post race. In the regular season only top 2-3 cars and any random cars get inspected

They don't require as much ballast as they used to and I'm not even sure if they're allowed or able to put weight in the frame rails anymore because the new chassis is so much different than the old chassis...btw
With all the parts being left after the cars kangarooing on the curbs did the track crew end up with any weight bars or parts not returned to nascar tech inspection?
The xfinity caution is nothing if you were at tri county Saturday night for the cars tour. Restart with three laps to go and wait until after the victory celebration to say the start was bad. How many laps did you have to determine that race control? Took the win away from Tristan McKee after he kicked ass all night.

Now hendrick just got payed to lighten bowmans car because they cant have 4 cars in the chase. having 4 hendrick cars in the final 8 or potentially the final 4 is not good for "nascar".
How is it that I understand what happened and these 4 don't? They said it had to be egregious. Bubba had clear track in front him and he was 3 feet off track. Byron was behind 2 cars and might have been off track 6 inches. That's the difference between the 2 cars

Leigh Diffey's work reminds me of the current TH-cam trend toward "first time" music reactions. I listen to all my favorite music through the eyes of someone who claims they never heard it before. Regardless of whether it's actually a first-time time reaction or not, all the original emotions keep coming out of me and I can't help it. All Diff needs to do is keep mispronouncing names (dahlington is a good start) and claiming that he's never seen a racing car with fenders or a track without right-hand turns every week.... and it should remain good for awhile. I first heard Diffey in 1997 when he started announcing Australian Super Car Touring Championship, Aussie friends would VHS record their races, and I would record NASCAR and sent to them. I thought he was one of the worst announcers ever, and sure enough he shows up after the UK to the US and ruins F-1, IMSA, Rolex, Indycar, and now Nascar for me. My Aussie friends still have a good laugh knowing I watch racing with the sound off or listen to MRN when NBC has the coverage, while they have a top team of broadcaster for Supercars. Hard pass on this DBC episode.
Svg will only be good at the road courses it would take a luck or a miracle for svg to win a circle track in nascar especially at the cup level these kids coming into nascar nowdays are starting at 4 or 5 hes a great road course guy bad ass but i think the talent gap is so big

There is no such thing as tolerance in weight. The weight rule plus the tolerance is the rule.
