That was simply one of the best live performances I've ever seen on video. Not only was the chemistry between them ridiculously powerful, but Alex is such a goofball! It was so easy to see how much fun they were having and I can only say that I'm glad that they do have that much fun!
@@noobguy6328 Me too...Still, we'll always have their music and filmed appearances to always appreciate. They made such a big difference by being themselves. Also, it's so cool to get a reply in a comment from nearly ten years ago!
I can't imagine a world where another band comes along and blows every musician's mind to the extent that Rush did. Simply amazing does not do them justice.
The indelible Mark Rush has left on the minds and hearts of those fortunate enough to experience this amazing bands unparalleled musicianship was truly a gift which brought everyone closer.
During detention in high school, I wrote the first verse of Closer to the Heart on a detention room desk. A week later, I was back in detention and sat at the same desk. The whole song had been written out. Each verse in different hand writing!!
Alex's humour is mad, as ever, the musicianship is up there with the best and the whole - RUSH - is beyond comparison! Never tire of them Great clip :-)
Rush= FREAKING AMAZING, i dont know any band better than these guys. i love them all so much, Amazing music, Amazing lyrics. Freaking amazing Drums and Bass lines. and Freaking amazing guitar riffs, cords, etc.. Rush Forever!
2:43 Closer to your heart Closer to your house Spider in your house A couch that's in your house Yeeaaah!!! 🤠🎶 Sung by Lee Iacocca with Ted Nugent and Sparky Anderson
21rush12......are are very fortunate to discover this amazing band.....in a world full of crappy music. I first started listening to them when I was 12 in 1981.....wow I'm getting old...lol.
@TheSKCProductions im at the tender age of 20. rock on dude. am seeing iron maiden in london in august as well, who are like the metal equivalents in terms of awesomeness and my fav band (but rush were just as amazing live), and am trying to see alice cooper for halloween. but am most jealous of your previous rush experiences. have been a fan since like 07 but they havent toured england in a very long time.
They had over 200 more and had difficulty figuring out which ones to fit in a 3+ hour show. They could have played almost any of them and they would be great.
Sing along kids!
'Closer To Your Heart!
Closer To Your House!
Spider In Your House!

"Spider in your house" - Alex Lifeson
That smile on Neil’s face was worth more than its weight in pure gold…we love and miss you so much, Sparky. 🥹🙏🏻♥️

“Behind me where he belongs” - Alex Lifeson introducing Neil Peart. RIP Neil ❤️❤️❤️
The greatest band of all time. Ted Nugent, Sparky Anderson, and Lee Iacocca: Haste.
They must be playing Detroit.
Is Ted Nugent from Detroit, for real?
Jackson, MI just down I-94
Yes they were
What I love about RUSH is that they are sooo tight and then again soo goofy! A great if not one of the greatest bands I've ever heard!

Eternamente Rush!❤❤
holy shit. i cant get enough of rush. just say them 2 days ago in Hershey PA 4/8/11 and today im seeing them in NY Madison square garden. 4/10/11.
Wow I've never heard Alex sing before
He actually did a lot of silly vocals during live shows, and backup vocals on serious songs
Oh, my, that was very good.
I don;t think Alex was doing anything but trying to make Neil crack a smile.... And he did
Closer to your heart
Closer to your house
A spider in your house
A couch that's in your house
Yeeaah!!!!....
Cannot wait til April 5th. 2011!! Rush rules!
This band just loves to play. I love this song. Saw them live in Fresno, CA USA Feb 8 1994.
WOW, AMAZING,
THANK YOU FOR SHARING.
I already have ;) THey're so good!

A minha eterna banda! Amor eterno.

things we ill never forget
"s p i d e r i n y o u r h o u s e"
"s p a r k y a n d e r s o n"
liferson, alex 1994
At the beginning I thought it was Harry, Jeff Daniels' character from Dumb and Dumber, playing the guitar.
I know, I just happen to have it on a DVD. My bad
@ 2:29 was Neil actually smiling!!!!!!
Is that an Ovation guitar Alex is playing in the beginning.
My favorite guitarist, Glen Campbell favored Ovation guitars.
good.
no bad likes! yes!
Alex did this similar thing about Buffalo news personalities back then
Hilarious!! Alex is such a trip!
yeah whats up with them couches eh?
canadians are so nutty.
i find alex's humor really weird lol
Jesse Gautreau yeah but they’re Canadian so...
Cadê a letra!!
voice Alex = Paul Mc Cartney....
Alex isn’t bad at singing!
Did he say “spider in your house”?
Harry dunn on guitar
You guys thought it was Closer to the Heart? It's obviously Spider in your House!
rush shut on maiden
is it just me or at 0:50 when Geddy sings "creativity" the note clashes. maybe im hearing it weird
ROTFLMO!!!!!
lol!!!!!
Clearly Geddy Lee has lost some of his range as he struggles to hit those piercing highs he once was able to effortlessly.
4:58 isn't that dangerous?
God, playing the same song every night for 40 years must get boring
they didn't play this song for 40 years
They had over 200 more and had difficulty figuring out which ones to fit in a 3+ hour show. They could have played almost any of them and they would be great.
@@rolandhouston3195 i think they only have 165 songs in their main 19 albums
The 🌲 s🥑🌳🌱🌴
❤
Neil always looked bored.
lolol
