Impressive video. I started a bit late (graduated from my doctorate program at age 30 in 2014 with 170k in school loan debt). Managed to pay off my debt by 2019 and currently have a house and 250k total in investments (combo of profit share, 401k and a brokerage account). I'm not very knowledgeable in investing, so I just have my investing currently in index funds mainly Too but have been putting a lot into Schd the past few months. I don’t know if that's the optimal strategy, but psychologically it is very set it and forget it, and prevents me from obsessing over individual stock performance.

These two things are what people value in a busy environment. Also, the issue of finding a charging station to minimize the charging anxiety could be reduced with mobile charging. Finally, with states like California banning combustion engine vehicles in the next few years (I believe by 2030 AND I have so many comments about that move, but that is for another time), it will be important to have convenient places to charge your vehicle.
It's an interesting idea. I'm not sure on the longevity, as soon as more charge points become available it's less likely this service will be needed. Expanding into charge points themselves as they have done seems a smart idea.

I am so inspired after watching this. I tried jumping into the bio diesel fuel business about a decade ago a bit too late because the clean energy market was transitioning to ethanol and hydro energy.
But you still gotta wait to charge your car. It’s not like delivering fuel tank to from triple A to your car. But this service is great for ev owners who are stranded or very low on juice.
Delivered 1 Mio miles to customer and is valued at 110 Mio USD... where one conventional car can drive 200.000 to 400.000 miles in its live... Looks like there is an extremely future growth priced in, whereas stationary loading stations are grow in rapid pace and are the pure antagonist of that business....
Delivered 1million miles and getting 10 million dollars of revenue. Let's say that 5 million of it comes from charging vehicles. That sums up to 5 dollars per mile. Something does not add up.
I think going foward they should consider setting up traditional charging stations (not mobile) to remain relevant in cities. Otherwise, they will be pushed out of cities when so many stations are available into areas less attractive for setting up stations like rural, roads with few centres along, and up country. Unless they'll be cheaper than traditional stations in cities. Having both mobile and traditional will cement their place for the long term.
I don't currently own a EV. From the outside looking in my question is how long does a reasonable charge take? Reasonable in this case let's say 50 miles. Also are there any plans to offer franchise opportunities in the near future? BTW good stuff really love this kind of content.
@duke C- It takes about 30 minutes for a full charge, so for 50 mph I'm thinking maybe 15-20 minutes tops. I'm also interested in the frachise opportunities especially as final mile fleets go to EV
It takes 2 hrs for my Jeep hybrid to charge, and a few hrs for my bolt euv to charge, but idk how long because it charges faster than it says it will on the screen. We have a level 2 charger installed in my garage though. When we had level 1, the Jeep took 14 hrs I believe, and my bolt took a few days
What this needs are autonomous vehicles for the delivery. Imagine ordering a charge online. Within 30 minutes a driverless van with a HUGE battery (like many hundred of kWh) inside would show up. The owner would start charging his car, adding 30 kWh or 100 miles in 20 minutes if charging at a rate of 100 kW. After charging the van would carry on to the next customer. Once the battery is depleted the van would return to base to charge the battery or replace it for a fresh one.
This is a great business model, it'll be interesting to see how they perform with competition in the market place, but considering people even need normal cars jumped or get gas before they can hit a station it just makes sense. Good on him. It's a nice model.
Okay, okay, now we're onto something. I was hesitant to consider an EV car, due to running out of charge. But, with this service option, I would seriously considering signing up!
Similar to cellphone battery pack, it will soon be discovered, a handy battery pack that can charge your car. That one is soon to come also. So this kind of business concept will only be okay if the handy battery pack is not yet there.

With the Roadie V3 it can charge at 15 miles a minute and outputs between 200 and 250 miles.

New Zealand is covered in electric car charging stations. Large department stores provide free charging while the person is shopping in the store.
The US has even more than nz. Nz is still in infancy
