It probably was unnecessary to cut out the drywall in the closet. You can use a galv Simpson clip and plywood to side mount onto a stud. Then maybe one drywall screw from the other side into the ply to stop it from waggling. But I was not there. So maybe this criticism is arm chair quarterbacking.
@ I like the wall mount faucets for kitchens. They are hard to find, but I was recently able to get a China made one from Amazon for $80. I like it. The spout has to be carefully planned, as to where the water lands in the sink. As a tall person, my benchmark is being able to stand up straight as I wash my hands directly under the spout.
Wow, that was a high spout, could fill a bucket on the floor 😅. Nice work, love the new one.
I'm in New York keep them in California thank you Happy holidays
that's is a of effort for a faucet. As a DIY homeowner I like faucets that are easy to install and last.
I think the owners are going to absolutely love it!
Sometimes designer fixtures are more cool than practical. But you fixed the situation ; )
The designer should have been made to come clean up the splashed water after every use.
Nice job, as always. Thank you for sharing.
Nice work as always. How come you use so much pro press copper instead of pex? Just curious. Thx
@coreyk2998 just kind of how I was taught. I only use pex when it makes a job 100x easier. I still prefer copper.

@kevinhornbuckle we tried everything to not open up the back but that vent was in our way

Was the one you removed originally intended for use in a tub?
@@ronnym1977 not sure but probably
You have drywall man coming?
@@Kevin-wj4ed yup
Pulling down half the wall just for a fancy tap. They must spend too much time in the bathroom.
@antman3525 the house is really expensive
I just saw the old faucet in a customers house today it was his tub spout.
