Ronnie, I really appreciated your comment on supporting police since I'm one. We don't get many positive words these days. My son has a Cherokee and were going to tackle this lift idea. Thanks for the video.

"We don't get many positive words these days" Last time I interacted with a cop,he wrote me a fix it ticket for a headlight out.I tried explaining that the bulb wasn't the problem,but I may as well have been talking to a brick wall.Luckily he wrote the ticket on Friday and I had til Monday to fix it or there's no way I woulda been able to get it fixed in time.I dread coming into contact with road pirates.

U can use grinder..I worked at fleet pride..did a few hundred spring builds.. used torch and cut off... just as long as there are no gas leaks.. if u are scared...use a cut shield to block the sparks
Since it is a 5 spd and going with 33" tires I would look for a set of axles from a auto xj so u can get better gearing on the cheap. By far the best up-grade I have done. Also if it's a 35 u can go with the 8.25
Hey Cherokee Ronnie. I did a budget pack out of f150 leaf springs love it. Didn't care to much for the S10 pack. But I also wanted to go bigger later now 8.5 in and 34 in swampers no issues yet it's been on for 3 years now.
You don't know how many people I have shared your 50/50 mix or brake fluid and transmission fluid concoction with but have never used it myself. Soon though when I get wrenching on my XJ
Good ideal thanks,,, I did mine with hijacker air shocks on all four corners,,. Separate Airlines on the rear,,. Tee'd together on the front,,,. 31-9.5. No cutting whatsoever,, gave me a total of 8 in Overstock,,,. !!! And rides excellent,,,. Way better than it did stock,,,. !!!

Longer shackles for the rear lift will rotate your pinion upward and screw up the drive shaft angles! Creates nasty vibrations and shudder in the drive shaft when you accelerate from a stop. I fixed mine with angled shims under the leafs and a transfer case drop.
235/75r15s get you 1.75 axle lift , they cost about 25 each @ u pull it/craigslist, moneroe air shocks cost me $59 dollars at napa for the rear . Then i stuffed my front springs with the tallest helper bags I can find on ebay $39 think they are for a coil spring dodge ram , i chose this way for simplicity/ease and when I air down it rides normal , no alignement cost no replacing the pitman or track bar , its the way to go on a daily driver guys. It will go 4.25 inches maxxed air but rides harsh 2 inches of air lift plus the 1.75 the tires gave me rides well

Great video man. What do you think about a trailmaster 4.5” lift I’m seeing it for around $650 to $750 I’m not sure about the quality. I currently have a 3” rough country lift with 31” bfg km2’s but I’m wanting a bit more flex and to be able to run a 33x12.5R15’s. I would appreciate your opinion on what lift to get, would you be able to suggest a lid where I can get away without having to re gear or do an sye and cv rear drive shaft. Thanks
Daniel Ruelas even with a 4.5 inch lift (rough contry) I had to cut a lot of front fender out to fit 33x12.50

I have a 2000 and 89 my 2k is my daily but I want to do a 5-6 inch lift for my 89 trail rig. Junkyard build is what I want to do. If you can help a brother out. Right now my 89 is running lean and won't pass smog. It currently has about a 3 inch lift

So my question comes from, could you do a video on a basterd pack lift as a revisit on how it's holding up and your thoughts and reviews on one you have done? I want to do a 3 inch lift and can't decide basterd pack or save the money and get a 3 inch from RC or zone. Also is it safe to haul a family around in? I'm doing a lift on my buddy's 86 cherokee and he went with the 3 inch zone lift. It's pretty simple to install but 2 things you need to know. You will have to get an adjustable track bar if it's a 3 inch lift or bigger also the u bolts that come with won't match up with the stock bracket that sits on top of the leaf springs.
Maybe get a lokka brand locker for the cheap jeep theyre only about 200 for one and free shipping

Man i have 2000 XJ 4.5 lift, Dropped pitman, hevy duty steering, 2 inch spacers and 33x13.5xr15 TOYO Open Country. Its great offroad, but steers like shit on highway, extremly hydroplaning on a water, also allighment just done, new u-joints and uper lower ball joints. What i can do to make highway driveing better? Regards Greg.
Grygorii Zasanov Make it stock lmfao. You really can’t do too much. You can upgrade all of your suspension and steering components to match with the lift. It’s pretty expensive though.
