The thing is when do you even need a 10x zoom? 3x zoom or 5x zoom is already very good for most of the cases... The lost of the MST and MicroSD are definitely nightmare for any samsung user just like what happened to the S5....
MST is definitely a bad downgrade, but SD is not really an issue. I have used many phones with SD card Slot and I never switch cards. Instead I carry a 1TB USB to type C on my Keychain. I always get a SD card but my highest was 128gb on a 64gb phone.
It sucks that Samsung is removing so many of the things that made them unique and much better than Apple. It's one thing to copy Apple on dropping the headphone jack or the charger, but losing SD card support and MST is really adding to the reasons why I may not choose Samsung in the future.

Why the cuss would they make a phone that shoots 8K, which takes an insane amount of data and memory, and not allow you to expand the storage on it? Seems counter to the goal!
Still rockin MST on my note 8. It was stupid for samsung to bin it, just like the iris scanner, and rf blaster from back in the day. Would have upgraded to the note 20 ultra, but waiting until the price drops.

The only thing the note was missing to be perfect was a 7000MAH battery, 120hz at WQHD, a 40mp front camera, and a flat display. The s22 is not a solution to this sadly and looks like note 20u will be my last samsung
Like you the Note 20U will be my last Samsung. The exclusion of the expandable sd card is infuriating. Everyone keeps saying use the cloud. The cloud is useless if you can't get a signal or you're in a dead zone. Plus you have to wait for everything to download. Congratulations Samsung, you have officially matched Apple's idiocy.
After recently seeing where someone got the note 20 ultra's screen resolution to run at 1439p@120hz, I'm holding on to the note since it still has mst and expandable storage. I'm running mine at 1439p and it looks good!
Honest and straightforward review. If you have the note stick to it .if you want something new and not a fan of s pen gimmickry and Samsung pay etc. Go for the s21ultra.
They s21 ultra is marginally better than they note 20 ultra SD card slot isn't a big deal if u go 4 256 or 512 gb storage n well their r some pros 2 not having they spen slot in the phone one of them is battery life allows for a bigger battery and well note phones having smaller battery they spen charging inside takes away battery life. Second reason is that when u drop ur phone they spen falls out on the note on they s21 ultra with samsungs silicone case the spen clicks in the case and doesn't fall when u drop it so it's more secure. Third reason is that if they spen goes inside the phone has to be thinner meaning u would have to hold they spen at a certain angle 4 prociseness and not having they spen slot made they spen thicker and more comfortable to use. Final reason is water resistant by not having they spen slot there is one less area for water to get in. Those are the 4 advantages of not having they spen slot and since they are launching they spen pro later this month with Bluetooth functionality there is nothing 2 complain about they spen on they s21 ultra if u have a note 20 ultra it would be stupid 2 upgrade but if ur coming from an s8 or s9 going 4 they s21 ultra is a better deal considering price being slightly cheaper
Great video but note 20ultra is better.i wasn't fully convinced that you believe s21ultra is better considering the amount you went on about MST. But great vid
Love the review. I am coming from a Samsung Note9 with all the bells and whistles (cracked screen prompted upgrade)... It has HR and blood O2% and Bluetooth Spen. I've been a Note user since the very first model coming over from Palm pilot it was a huge step up.. Anyhow, since you asked about gripes... No Micro SD nor HR or blood O2 reading is a total bummer. I too miss features that are standard and then are removed. I am always hopeful Samsung will keep up with the "Flagship" models as the top of the line, state of the art devices so anytime useful items are removed at the expense of a higher price tag just rubs me the wrong way. I do love the fact that the S21Ultra has Spen support but the idea of not having someplace to put it unless it's cased is also a problem. Love the review.. Thanks
Got a few facts wrong there. The Note 20 Ultra has Victous glass on front only. The back is regular glass. The newer Gen got Victous all around, recommend cover for back.
Great review, Lexy. I traded in note 10 plus, ordered the S21 ultra for a test run. So far, I am enjoying it. The cameras are better than note 10, and the screen is crazy bright. As for the spen, it's pretty good; feels better than the regular spen. It works as it does on note 10, minus the Bluetooth abilities. The Samsung case is not bad either, but the Spigen versions better. The downside is SD card support and mst. But so far, I am feeling it.
I think I would go with Note20 Ultra on this one as a loyal Note user here. Cuz I love the less rounded more boxy feel of the Note series that makes it more premium looking. Though I honestly dislike the Bronze colour and honestly Samsung should have started doing Matte Black with the Note20 Ultra. And one of the biggest reasons why I would pick the Note20 Ultra over the S21 Ultra is because I am very HUGE with microSD card support and that is something that to these days annoys me about the S21 Ultra. Cuz not only microSD card expands the storage of the phone quickly without outright buying a high capacity storage at once but it makes everything easier to back up when you need to perform Factory Data Reset or Service Centre needs to fix your phone cuz they definitely will wipe out your data away. So I decided to skip S21 Ultra and wait for the S22 Ultra which is rumoured to be the first S series phone to have the design language of the Note series. Also I skipped Note20 Ultra because the variant that was released here in the Philippines was a non-5G Exynos 990 variant with an inferior 8GB RAM instead of 12GB on the 5G model. So hoping that S22 Ultra would bring the microSD card slot back. Don't really mind not having a wall adapter anymore cuz I have a 45W adapter (that I use on my Note10+) and I heard it will work as well on the S22 Ultra so we really just have to watch out for it. 😊
Note 20 ultra all day. I love the new features of the s21 but there's nothing that would make me upgrade from the Note the s21 ultra, i mean no Expandable storage is a downgrade on my opinion. Not to mention that samsung is becoming apple by starting at 128gb forcing you to get the 256gb. I'll have no problems waiting for the note 21 ultra, heck note 22 ultra if they don't show me something worth upgrading
Come on Samsung, if I wanted an Apple product, I'd buy an Apple product! I've always used Samsung devices because of the features, sd card, headphones, charger, now I hope LG releases something soon. You charge crazy price's for a lesser product! I wanted the S21 ultra, but I think I have to be done with Samsung at this point! Stop trying to be Apple and just be you!

Is new note coming out this year and when?
October
No, they postponed the new Note release to 2022.
yeeeaaahhh....note 21 will be in 2022 August.
I was just going to switch to s21 ultra but did not find any major differences. I was an iphone user for years but at iphone x, I left apple and came to the note 9. It was the real tech world for me. I went on to the note 10 plus and now on the note 20 ultra and have to say my love for the note series is never ending. I pray they don't end the note series 😭
Even if the ended the Note series if the boxy design would return on the upcoming S22 Ultra I think that's still a good thing, right? 😉
I always go fall for the Note line but Quickly move back to the S line but I decided to skip the Note 20 and move to the S21 ultra and iam satisfied . The S series always wins my heart ❤️
The only thing I hate about the note 20 ultra is the battery life other than that its a great phone
We need an actually Note 21 Ultra 😡😡😤 Not an Fe. Forget the S Series. Note line has always been premium and better looking.
Why Samsung!!!!!!!?
@Kevin Luna you shut up
Why the cuss would they make a phone that shoots 8K, which takes an insane amount of data and memory, and not allow you to expand the storage on it? Seems counter to the goal!
No headphone jack
No expandable storage
Yet somehow a some tweaks to the camera is a upgrade. Oh and no battery charger included either.
That was basically all brand tho, i mean look at the 12 pro max, not even a change in look.
What should I get the s21 plus the note 20 ultra or the apple 12 pro max I'm looking for battery since i use my phone for work
Get the iphone. It's gonna be more reliable in the long run
Get the s21plus
I'm thinking of upgrading my S10 plus for the S21 ultra. Will I still be able to use MST on my Galaxy watch first gen paired to the new phone?
Yes you will, its built into the watch. I still have my frontier and use it often.
Note 20 ultra is better to me key factor the SD slot
Still rockin MST on my note 8. It was stupid for samsung to bin it, just like the iris scanner, and rf blaster from back in the day. Would have upgraded to the note 20 ultra, but waiting until the price drops.
I have the same phone! My Note 8 is still reliable and easy to use with all the benefits. Feel pretty stupid, me, not understanding all of the features...MTS! I'm going to have to be BRAVE and learn about this feature. Now, what else do I have that I'm not using. Being a bit elderly hesitate, I need to understand and learn.
Please since they have released updates the camera settings have changed we need your help please to do review about settings of the camera 2q0 Ultra 5G
If u have the note 20 ultra u don't need to think about the S21 ultra since they are pretty much similar
Honestly that goes with most phones with in 18 months of each other or longer...
I don't understand upgrading so frequently. I wait like 2 years approximately.
May I ask Do you still prefer the Note over the S21 ultra?
After recently seeing where someone got the note 20 ultra's screen resolution to run at 1439p@120hz, I'm holding on to the note since it still has mst and expandable storage. I'm running mine at 1439p and it looks good!
How? Developer settings?
@@npjnzu Google qhd 120hz note 20 ultra. You should see the link to the techeaven website with instructions.
If it's Note related, I want Lexy to be on it
Spen sad moment was nicely done 👏👏
Exynos or snapdragon....this comparisson?
Until all the stores I frequent in my area have NFC-enabled terminals, MST will always be a necessity for me.
Unfortunately where I live MST is not allowed by banks.
Honest and straightforward review. If you have the note stick to it .if you want something new and not a fan of s pen gimmickry and Samsung pay etc. Go for the s21ultra.
Which should i buy s21 ultra or note 20 ultra? Im looking for a phone with the best speakers quality, best for gaming and best battery life.
That 10x optical zoom is the thing. You can't beat it and it's real
S21 Ultra for sure unless you need expandable storage.
Hope next s line of phones get the expandable storage? If not, note 20 or go to the dark side and get a iphone?...
nah. note 20 ultra. it has mst, charger in box, expandable storage, better design, real s pen with real s pen features.
@@xers8719 hi... true ,but I like the camera design on the 21ultra over the note 20ultra that's the only thing..but the the rest so true..
@@sirhborn oh my god. I replied to the wrong comment. LOL.
@bob loblaw haha fr. nice sarcasm.
S21 ultra the superior phone simply because of the camera, screen and chip. If there will be an Note 21 it would be a more fair comparison.
Great video
😂 I know MST isn't that important for many people so overall, my MST love aside, S21 won for me
MST daily use here
Love the review.
Thanks
I wouldn't mind an all in one case and s-pen for the note ultra to experience the larger spen
Got a few facts wrong there. The Note 20 Ultra has Victous glass on front only. The back is regular glass. The newer Gen got Victous all around, recommend cover for back.
Good video, thanks for all the info. I really like my Note 9
İ think they both excellent i love both of them
Ordered the s21 ultra a couple weeks ago. It'll be here in 2 weeks 😍
But so far, I am feeling it.
its worth picking the S21 U over N20 U.. but not worth it upgrading from N20 U to S21 U.. love my note 20 U
@bob loblaw if you need to buy one, buy S21 ultra.. if you have a Note 20 ultra, stick with it, not worth the upgrade
I own the a20 so which phone is for me?
At 2:03, the Note 20 5G Ultra gets a phone signal way better than the one on the S21's (1 bar only)
Different carriers!
I'm still using my note 9 in excellent condition & 512gb
Come on Samsung, if I wanted an Apple product, I'd buy an Apple product! I've always used Samsung devices because of the features, sd card, headphones, charger, now I hope LG releases something soon. You charge crazy price's for a lesser product!
I wanted the S21 ultra, but I think I have to be done with Samsung at this point!
Stop trying to be Apple and just be you!
MST & EXTRA STORAGE is a win for me. The GALAXY NOTE 20 ULTRA WILL BE MY LAST SAMSUNG PHONE!
Unless Samsung reverts back to an SD card and MST, this will be my last one too.
She totally contradicts herself! Obvious staying with the Galaxy Note 20 ultra or getting a Galaxy Note 20 ultra will be the better buy!
