    I thought it was irritating to go through all 6 tones of a word..just say it already..BUT once I sound all 6 tones too, I could find the correct tone. It is so useful ! Thanks.

    Thank you for teaching Cantonese. Most Cantonese lessons is for beginners and very few lessons for intermediate or advanced. But you are the best for intermediate.
    I have one questions: Why do you pronounce "L" for N words. Example: Computer is "Din No", but you say "Din Lo". You do that with other N words as well. Why???

    This channel has been so helpful for learning Cantonese! But the website is no longer active, is there somewhere I can find all this info? has it been archived anywhere?

    Is there any way you can focus on more conversational stuff? You are the best Cantonese channel on TH-cam by far but sometimes your lessons are very advanced, not the type of stuff the average Westerner would talk to the Chinese parents in law about!

      SayGwilo I have been thinking about using some contemporary Hong Kong Soap Operas as a learning medium. But that takes a lot of time to find suitable ones and to actually do good analyses out of them. As you may realize, I am maintaining several different channels. One of them is "love lies bleeding mini natural farm" which I just created to teach people how to farm the natural way. Busy busy busy!

    Who do you say Lay (for "you") instead of Nay ????

    • @DiscreetSpirit
      @DiscreetSpirit 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      "Lay" is Hong Kong accent Cantonese. "Nay" is mainland China Cantonese. Same situation for other situations in which words are said with an "L" sound in Hong Kong, and a "N" sound in mainland China. Like your computer example. "Din no" vs. "Din lo" or milk, "nai" vs "lai." Both would be understood given context.
