What a wonderful life you have. You and your family are so so fortunate to have growing space in your yard!
All the fresh vegetables!!
Such a lovely episode. I love seeing your home both inside and out. Although you keep things simple and are so brilliantly efficient at all you do, you also add so much beauty to everything and create a homely , peaceful looking home. From flowers and plants to cosy sitting areas and lovely curtains and art; it is the perfect home for a lively growing family. Thank you for making these videos and enriching our lives as you go. p s I can only imagine how beautiful your home must smell when you are baking bread!
Nothing like homemade bread in the oven to make everyone happy and give a cozy feel!
Hi Lisa you and I are the same age 38 about to be 39 and almost share the same birthday. This is very off topic from the video above this just feels like a safe place to mention this topic. I believe I'm starting early stages of perimenopause and I'm quite scared honestly. I'm being told I'm too young but I know my body. Are you or anyone else viewing my question here going through this issue and what are some natural ways to relieve symptoms?
Same. I'll be 39 in January. I have a very healthy diet and I stay fit. Even still, I have signs or peri menopause already. I'm taking chaste berry. Look into Dr Aviva romm hormone intelligence :)
You are not early
Don’t be scared❤
It’s just a stage of life
I'm older than you and I'll tell you something I should've told my younger self. Many women begin perimenopause around that age, and they often hear "you're too young." 🙄 But there’s no need to fear it. You can embrace and enjoy every stage of life! Surround yourself with positive people and listen to your body's signals. Ignore the pressure to "work until you drop"-prioritize good sleep. Dr. Mindy Pelz offers great insights on menopause stages and nutrition, including when to consider intermittent fasting. Don’t worry! I’ve felt better in my 40s than I did in my 30s. It’s absolutely possible to embrace this time! ❤️
I’m 50, but I went through menopause in my mid thirties and had my last period at 38! 😮 I highly recommend you get a check up from a female gynecologist who listens, because everyone kept telling me I was too young as well and wouldn’t listen which made it much more difficult to navigate. I also recommend you start taking Vitamin D now, because your bone density is affected by the lack of hormones.
I take evening primrose oil, magnesium and St. John’s Wort. Get lots of exercise and focus on strength training. Make sure you drink lots of water and get lots of rest. Oh! And carry a fan and a hair tie in your edc bag for those “power surges” it helps!
Hi! I’m 51 and nearing the end of my perimenopause journey which started around 38-39. I will tell you that just the fact that you are aware of what is happening with you body and that perimenopause is a thing, gives you an enormous advantage. I had NO IDEA what was going on, I just knew my body was changing and that I was too young for menopause. However, I’ve since learned that the average age for entering full menopause is 52 and most women go through at least 5 years of peri, many have 10-12 years. So, you’re really not too young. I would say the most important thing you can do is track your cycles and symptoms religiously! That info will be so valuable for you to see patterns in everything from mood swings to night sweats to cycle irregularity. Seeing the patterns will give you a lot of peace of mind during a time that can feel foreign and chaotic, it will also help you communicate with your healthcare provider about any issues you are concerned about. My second recommendation is if you are not already doing so build a habit of daily exercise and incorporate a couple of days simple strength training. NOW is the time to get those habits down, strengthen your muscles and bones, so that as you age you will be less susceptible to injury, falls, and disease. I have also found that a magnesium supplement really helped with the sleep problems I developed in my early 40s. You may need to up your iron intake as well if you experience heavier periods, as many women do during peri. Good nutrition will also go a long way to keeping you feeling your best (limit alcohol…your body just won’t process it as easily anymore). Don’t be scared! It can be a bumpy ride, but you will get through! 💕
Lisa! I love your fall videos! Your videos bring me so much peace thank you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
So enjoyed this video. Loved the relaxing music. This also brought happy thoughts of a dear friend.💝
Oh my I love this cozy heartwarming video🎉so awesome I'm in Tennessee been sooooo dry here too love your beautiful Family and Home😊
It’s the autumn equinox, solstice is only in summer and winter.
That bread smells good even through the television! 😋😂
So delicious
Hey Lisa! I've been watching you since you had 40,000 subscribers. This new typed words at the beginning is hard to read when watching on a phone. It's also very "her 82sq meters" which i can't watch for the same reason as I'm vision impaired and just can't see white on white or lighter backgrounds. Thanks for not doing it through the whole video!
Same I was just about to say something. She needs to use a darker text
Yes I’ve made sourdough starter from your recipe and haven’t looked back. I love all your recipes! Thank you for sharing!💕💕💕 I love good food!
The loaf of bread on your thumbnail needs to calm down. It looked delicious.
Great video and the food looked so delicious!! Your home and your land and of course your family all are so wonderful. God bless.
Good job , btw.... Castor oil is better than any Mary Ruths
I mix castor oil with a teaspoon of cayenne pepper and add a couple drops of oregano oil to warm water and drink that as often as I can. It really helps clear you out! (And of course cayenne pepper is so good for blood flow!)
but does it taste as good ; D I think NOT
Ahh Lisa! I love this so much and I love seeing all these homemaking videos. Thank you for always sharing your day to day life and it’s so relaxing to watch. I can’t wait for more videos like this and you’re so fun to watch. Ilysm and I hope you’re having an amazing day 💕
Such a fun, cozy video!🍁The pickled jalapeños sound so good! Beautiful flowers.🤍
Can you do a video on how you juggle day to day tasks and at the same time home school your kids plus edit videos? Would love more behind the scenes/ raw and real ❤
I have shared more in depth over on The Simple Farmhouse Life podcast and TH-cam channel....
Wow! Look at your biceps cutting that pumpkin! Have you been working out? Kidding! 😅Love your videos.
😂😂
Oh major coffee envy! Yum. And I'm thankful for today's sponsor. When you started talking about it, I stopped the video and immediately went on MaryRuth's website to order. I have been looking for natural remedies for hair loss. What had been working in the past for me is no longer working. Hope this helps. But gee whiz, just about everything is on backorder. Glad I didn't hesitate.
Lovely Fall vlog!🎃🍁🍂
Your home flows from ur kitchen, vegetable garden, chickens, flowers!
The pumpkin bread looks delish! You are an Artist!
Thank you 4/ sharing!❤
Amazing video.
Please don't give up.
I like to watch your videos, it's makes me happy ❤
All love from Algeria 😊
I’m falling in love with the season of fall as I get older. IThis season is so cozy. Your content is inspiring and aesthetically pleasing. I am a mother of two and I am actively looking for cooking inspiration.
I miss when you and other ladies homesteaders go thrift shopping ..ya need to get together again
Lovely, as always Lisa. You continue to be an inspiration to me!
OMG I’m cringing at you not using gloves while you chop your hot peppers. Scared for you and your eyes 🙃🩵🌶️🌶️🌶️😱
Yeah she needs to wear gloves! My husband grows his own hot peppers and they can not only hurt you but your kiddos even if you wash your hands
I pretty sure this isn’t her first time cutting peppers.
She may and just forgot this time ?
I don’t wear gloves working with hot peppers. Different people probably have different tolerance.
Bet your kitchen smells heavenly! ❤
You should make your own quilts.
Good morning Lisa! I always enjoy your videos! They are so peaceful and relaxing! I love your property! I’m looking forward to Fall! God bless your sweet and precious family! 😀❤️🙏🏻
Thank you! You too!
Have you ever tried making pumpkin butter with puree cinnamon maple syrup and chia seeds? So good!! I use chia to also make a jam with the blackberries that grow on our property. It’s amazing!
Not yet!
Hi darling will you be doing a capsule wardrobe for us
Lisa, you're brave in not putting baking sheets under those fermenting jars! I learned this summer the hard way😅
I harvested 8lbs of tomatoes yesterday. This video came at a perfect time!
Also, what would you do with an abundance of beets?
@@hopem8184 try beet kvass. It’s delicious and so good for you.
Hi Lisa! I did notice the change in the editing of this video. It’s giving me British vibes! I like the soft lighting in your other videos from this past year with the voiceovers. Interesting to see you trying something new! Regardless of style, I’m a big fan, thanks for your encouraging content, always filled with gratitude for the beauty of family, and what every season brings 💜
Thank you!
The piano music in the background was beautiful. Is that you or one of your children playing the piano?
No, that was just my background music...
Yes thank you. I hope your Autumn continues to be blessed. Thank you for the delicious recipes. 🥰
Thanks for watching!
One of the first things I thought/noticed - omg - that cream colored shirt while working with tomatoes! haha. I could not pull that off.
haha...I usually wear my aprons ...just didn't grab it this time!
Why would ham and cheese sandwich sound weird? Confused.
I was referencing serving it on the pumpkin bread which has the pumpkin and pumpkin spices added to it....it was really a different but very delicious combo.
Your hair looks really pretty today!
Thank you so much

Another great video. Love the piano music. You make everything so beautiful. God Bless your beautiful family. 😊
Delicious. Your channel and your sisters are very helpful. I wrote down two recipes. Thank you for sharing. I like easy recipes ❤
What a shame to cut into that beautiful pumpkin shaped bread! Lol!! It is indeed gorgeous, and looks so yum!! You rock Miss Lisa! Have a blessed fall season ❤
I love this time of year! Loved to try the pumpkin bread, which looked delicious! Looking forward to putting up my pumpkin, I do pumpkin purée, which is great to make pies and cakes.
I must try making sauerkraut, my dad used to make it, so much better than store bought.
HAPPY FALL WEDNESDAY IN SEPTEMBER! Just Precious. I know it takes a lot of work to take care of such a big family. You and Luke are doing a great job, IN JESUS HOLY NAME. AMEN AND AMEN. STTB😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
It's Fall (Autumn)Equinox not solstice. There is also the Spring Equinox. Additionally, there is the Summer and Winter Solstice.
I have question about preseving pumpkin puree in jars- I make IT and even though its preserved by boliling filled jars 1-3 times they often dont keep well in pantery getting gasy...nowy You preseve them? Or maybe You keep them in the fridge ?
I wonder if a hearty beef stew would pair well with the pumpkin bread. The savoury sweet combination might hit the spot.
We still have some flowers in our lawn, however, we can't bring them inside because I am allergic to flowers, etc...However, for just a little while longer I enjoy looking at them in our lawn. My husband plants all our flowers and in our containers. However, here in Pennsylvania it is starting to get cool not just in the mornings but in the evenings. MAY I ASK HOW YOU AND LUKE KEEP THE FLEAS DOWN ON YOUR ANIMALS, DO YOU TREAT THEM WITH FRONTLINE, ETC...Thank you.
Always enjoy your videos. Love the farm life. Hard work but very rewarding. I am always inspired. Thank you for that.
Great garden harvest and beautiful flowers!😀 Delicious foods too! yummy:) Thanks for the video.
Lovely video, thinking I may have to try the pumpkin sourdough, not sure if I will make it fancy like a pumpkin, but would definitely like to try the recipe.
Hi Lisa thank you for this video i am learning how to make pumpkin bread this is my first time makeing it i will let you know how it turns out. Fall is soon to be here the leaves are turning color a bright red and orange i love it. Soup season and beef stew i§ coming in just a week maybe two will you be showing us some new soup dishes i would love that. Take care Lisa until next time . Gypsy from Michigan.
I am so going to try fermented jalapeños! Thank you for showing how easy it is. How beautiful to see your blooming flowers still. I dont think everything in the fall needs to be orange, yellow, and brown. Enjoy those blossoms while they last!
Loved this one so much....loved the stills of your lovely farm. ❤ Pumpkin butter does sound good!
I’m thinking you’re videos are too short Lisa 😆
Obviously I’m being selfish because when I take a break from the kitchen I relax watching them and some other favorites. I know you’re a busy person 😊
Thank you Lisa I really enjoyed the video but then I always do I’ve never had a bad one yet from you you’re so clever have a great full 😉
I love it! Never a dull moment on the farm.😊I made pumpkin butter once and on hot biscuits it tasted like a pumpkin pie! My mouth is watering while watching you cooks yours. I love harvest time. There are still flowers, veggies are still coming in, and saving it for winter is my all time favorite thing to do. In fact, I canned my own pumpkin syrup last year for my lattes. I got the idea from my local coffee shop that makes all their own syrups. Your pumpkin shaped bread was beautiful! It thrills my heart to watch how your channel touches the lives of so many! Thank you!
I do like some of Mary Ruth’s things but you do have to be careful, a lot of their products have natural flavors & seeds oil. It seems most of the kids ones are good though!
Great video as always! Just made your Sourdough Chocolate bread today. It was easy and so delicious!
The background music is so pretty and relaxing, I could fall asleep listening to it!
Hi Lisa, I really love the pumpkin spice late you made, it looks amazing. Here in Australia we unfortunately don't have seasonal drinks like that and I want to try one. OMG you cut up the jalapeños without gloves I did that once and never again, my eyes burnt so bad I wanted to take them out haha. The pumpkin bread looked fabulous! We have just come into spring and soon to be summer so it's going to start warming up. So far it's still so cold here. Happy fall to you, enjoy!
Thank you for sharing. This video has inspired me to have a go at preserving some veggies for later use, you made it look so simple! Thank you so much
Great idea to ferment salsa! I'm absolutely trying this!
What were the things you put on top of the jalapeños to ferment? I’ve never seen that before!
Such a beautiful family, beautiful life ❤from South Carolina
hey girl- loved the video!😁 such yummy food😋 pretty flowers to🤗 Y'all have a blessed weekend🥰
Brilliant video !
Puts me in an enthusiastic mood 😊
Always beautiful bread. Always fun and lovely videos. Great harvest with all those peppers!! They look so pretty all in the basket. It was great to see you ferment the jalapeños. I love your flowers too. They look lovely on your table.
Beautiful bread, it looks delicious 😋
So cozy! 🍂
Love your hairstyle Ms. Lisa (at 4:48 mark)❤
I made the pumpkin shaped loaf the other day using the cinnamon raisin it turned out amazing for the first time doing it I’m making another tomorrow morning 😊🤤
That pumpkin butter looks great
Hi i see you and ruthann Zimmerman use the same method
What kind of knife sharpener do you use ?
Fabulous food to feed your family.❤
Lovely video Lisa! I’m definetly growing jalapeños next year! 🌶️🌶️
they tend to be very easy to grow and produce a lot...fun to grow and have on hand
I love the composition in your home 😂
Thanks for another great video!
Mary Ruth Organics 💞
Definitely going to have to try that pumpkin bread! I love your videos, as an aspiring homemaker it’s super inspirational to watch ❤
Yay! Thank you!
Another lovely video - if you have a moment, can you tell me what your working island counter "top" is made of? Thinking about putting a new top on ours. Thanks!!
It is quartz!
what a great idea to cut in half and bake.. so easy
Hi Lisa! Another great vlog. Would you share tips on hand washing dishes? I’m always at my work station aka sink. Thanks 😊
I can't say I have any tips...I use a solid bar of dish soap and wash or use a scrub brush...whatever it needs. Then I rinse them in really hot water and let air dry on a dish rack
Hi Lisa! I know this could be a big ask but I would love (and I’m sure many others) to have access to some books that you would recommend somewhere on your website! Maybe about ferments, motherhood, simple living, traditional skills. Just a thought! Thank you for sharing snippets of your life. It’s always an inspiration
I have a whole amazon storefront with books I own...here is the link..www.amazon.com/shop/farmhouseonboone/list/2F2RU99KGDJSU?ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_s_ofs_mixed_d
Lisa, I think I've been watching your youtube videos for about 10 years. However, I don't recall if you have ever made pumpkin soup, if you have would you please repost how you made it once more? I'm not a fan of pumpkin, but I once had pumpkin soup in Boquete Panama about 15 yrs ago and loved it and I would love to try it again.
PS. You are looking more and more beautiful as you age.
Here is my version...www.farmhouseonboone.com/roasted-pumpkin-soup-with-acorn-squash/
I know it’s rude… but I just had my 5th and I’m like “how does she manage the baby weight eating all these rich beautiful foods!?” Tips seriously appreciated- what I eat in a day with portion advice?
I understand it is frustrating but I really don't do anything special...I just listen to my body...I tend to really do best with a kefir smoothie for breakfast with homemade kefir and frozen fruit. I am a naturally high energy person and I am sure that works to my advantage.
Relaxing episode
Oh, what a delightful mid-week treat. Such a lovely video with delicious Fall recipes. I enjoyed the ferments also.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi Lisa! I really like your channel. I just wanted to say please go back to doing the voiceovers rather than texting. It's so much more cost hearing you talk.
I understand that everyone has their own preferences on what they prefer...I get requests on both sides but ultimately I really cannot please everyone so I will continue to do a mix. Thanks for following along though...
❤ At work I dream of being home cause it’s officially soup and bread baking season! My daughter lit the fireplace for the first indoor fire of autumn 2024 and the smell gives me all the feels. 😊 It’s raining and the leaves are falling, but we plan to go on a weekend vacation to enjoy the height of the color changing leaves before I’m spending most of my waking hours in the kitchen. I’m hoping to use this autumn/winter to store up home baked cookies, bread, etc. for eating during the summer when I hate to turn on the oven.
Sounds like you are ready for peak fall enjoyment!
Lovely video Lisa 😊
You’re kitchen and gardening videos are as always my favorite!
P.S. I don’t wear gloves either to cut jalapeños and I pick wild raspberries never mind the poison ivy. Your body does get immune!!
Love this! I am going to try the pumpkin spice condensed milk recipe!
I didn't see your pup in any of the outside parts, how is he, is he still with yall?
Yes, he is good. He just appeared in a video!
Saludos desde Perú 🇵🇪
Hey Lisa! Where do you get the Mason jar candles in your videos that you light on your oven?
AntiqueCandleCo.com
Where can I find fermented mayonnaise recipe via your channel? Can’t seem to find it. Thanks!
I just added a tablespoon or two of fermenting liquid to my recipe...
❤❤❤❤❤ so peaceful
Doesn’t it burn your hands to cut hot peppers without gloves?
It didn't bother me but I definitely stayed away from rubbing my eyes!
Don’t you miss fresh veggies in the winter. I sure do
We still have access to things in season like all the root veggies and squashes and some greens etc.... but yes easy to miss the summer bounty!
Lol you are Midwest, what frost when.
Frost does happen but it’s later in the fall/ early winter
How do you chop those jalapeños without gloves on? My hands would be burning!
Lol! I think her hands are used to it now
I never wear gloves, just careful to keep my skin touching the peppers 🌶️ skin
Once she spatchcocked a chicken with her bare hands. It was amazing. Lisa is a special person😂✨
