Much thanks for the tip. I used a boot stretcher before but didn't realize you can treat them with alcohol and water four times over two days while tighting the boot stretcher each time. You saved my red wing 875 moc toe from being sold on eBay. I love the look of the boot but the toe box was killing my big toe and pinky toe. Now it fits much much better. They are actually comfortable now.
Girl, you’re speaking my language. I’ve lived in Crocs for awhile and have just pulled out my western boots, and was reminded why it’s been awhile since I’ve worn them. They still need some stretching around the ankle to get on.
Thank you, just what I needed. I have a brand new pair of cowboy boots but the left boot is tight. I didn't feel the tightness at first it when I first tried them at the shop but now it's so painful to wear them. My cowboy boots sit in the closet for years. Now I will try your method and I hope it works or I will have to continue to see my boots in the closet for years.
wear some plastic bags on your feet before you slip your foot into the boot. With the bag on your foot, your foot should slip a lot easier into the boot. When you have them on, you can just tear the bags out.
Um I’m not to sure about using alcohol it seems like that would dry it out I would just use steam and it some mink oil but if you did use alcohol I would be sure to condition the boot with mink oil or boot conditioner to put moisture back into the leather to make sure it’s not too dry and cracks.
You need to stretch them more because you must ware socks our feet sweat very heavily and sweat is salty and will dry inside your boots and before long your sweat stains will show on the outside and dry out and crack the leather so it looks to me like they still do not fit you correctly
I have the same boot stretcher but it keeps sliding back toward the heal as I tighten it so it doesn't seem to be doing much. It needs designed with something to keep it pushed toward to toe. I'm also worried that if they get wet In the rain then they will shrink again.
I know this comment is old, but thought you maybe could use this tip sometime later. If it's your instep that needs stretched, you can fold a piece of leather and put down in boot, then push a baseball down inside the boot on top of the leather piece, to stretch boot. The more you need it stretched you fold the leather thicker...
Does anyone have a link for one of them stretchers I just bought some new ariat boots and they have the exact same problem as her boots in the beginning
First, you don’t use bare feet a thin pair of nylons will give you more slip and not take up much more room then you go duckhunting and get them good and wet for a couple of hours then you wear them until they’re dry then you’ll oil the tar out of them because you just abuse the poor leather
Howdy having the same issue with a pair of boots i have a high in step and stuggle to get them on with a shoe horn and need some ideas as boot strechers almost dobt exist here in aus
Without a gauge on the boot stretcher, you're guessing at the right tension. I wonder if you applied some mixture to the inside surface if that would help.
Stick an empty polythene bag in the boot fill the bag with water tie the top and stick the boot in the freezer over night, take it out let it defrost and hey presto.

Need to do that. Just got an amazing pair of Ariat work boots and had to fight to even get my foot in. It was so much work I was tired lol. Thank you!
I love my Ariat boots but they do seem to take a while to break in

Best of luck to you!!
Did it work?
Awesomeness 😊. Thanks for the video. Short and sweet. Well-made!
Once I get my Ariat boots on, I love them. Getting my foot through the heel/top part is a battle though 😢

Nope You should have STEAMED the inside of the boot 1st and then insert the Stretcher into the instep of the boot.
Perhaps a steamer is a good verus the the water alchohol but what would be even better would be to grease up your boots then stretch them

excellent! I purchased 'boot stretcher' spray... and it definately seems to me that its ISO ALCH and WATER... no doubt
You don't wear socks?

How often do you need to apply the stretcher?
I have 2 pairs of beautiful H-Davidson that can't fit anymore :(
Got FAT XD
Will they shrink back to smaller or will it stay like that as long as you keep wearing them?
She stretched them around a year ago and they still fit like they did right after this video.
Instead used a plastic bag to help slide ur foot in and pull it out ur foot over time will adjust happens when u don't wear boots for a while
Now, if you don't wear them for a while, will they shrink back?
I did. It know you could spray leather boots with alcohol and water?

I'm not sure why it's but working for you but my wife's boots have stayed stretched.
That's awesome. My boots have been in closet for years because I can't get them on. Anxious to try this out. Thanks eh
great tips! I don't know anybody that could have boot stretchers. So I need to buy it. Any recommendations for a good boot stretcher? Thanks!
I would try Amazon as it's not something I would know where to buy locally
Boot barn, cavenders and other local boot places offer stretching for free
@@gavinmartinez2153 wow, I didn't know, thanks for the tip!

Wear some compression socks will squeeze the leg
cow leather is stretchable...but caiman is nearly impossible.
Does anyone have a link for one of them stretchers I just bought some new ariat boots and they have the exact same problem as her boots in the beginning
Amazon look up foot fitter vamp stretcher or they have big instep/shaft stretcher also .
I love to wear a pair of thick wool socks, and then nylons over tops of the boot slips, and then do the duck hunting method
What type of alcohol you use
rubbing alcohol
(Isopropanol)
I'm wondering the same. Wonder what % rubbing alcohol. I have 3 different % 's of alcohol in my bathroom cabinet...
Socks!

Got to love that you wear boots without any socks
Enjoying the leather felt on your feet
It's a great feeling and beauty indeed
That stretcher is like 150$ 😅
Run a plastic grocery bag down the length of the back of the boot. Instant slip on. Wearing some type of sock might help too. You're welcome.
Then you can't take them off 😭
Will that solution work on Suede? Or will it discolor it?
I don’t have any idea what it would do to suede.
Madam that Husky copressor is beautiful. Your uploads are great too. But mechanic all wys look at tools first!
Without a gauge on the boot stretcher, you're guessing at the right tension. I wonder if you applied some mixture to the inside surface if that would help.
Where did you get that stretcher?
You can just look up instep boot stretcher they’re 150$-180$
Stick an empty polythene bag in the boot fill the bag with water tie the top and stick the boot in the freezer over night, take it out let it defrost and hey presto.
Hello there !! great video ... How long do you leave them with the tool on?
She sprayed the boots really well with water and left the tool in until the boots died. Maybe four or five hours.
@@northgeorgiaclearing6982 Thank you so much !!!!
My problem is getting them off again any tips for that?
Too long to watch: How to Stretch Boots - Get a boot stretcher
Your a nice looking Lady Thanks for the Video
Where can I buy the starcher?
That's a really good question. We borrowed this one from a neighbor but I don't know where they got it.
You can find several styles on Amazon.
