When Ariana's singing high notes like E5,F5,B5 it's sounds so easy for her. It's like she's speaking using high notes. Very effortless! What a range!
I had a question, is a A5 and C6 high for a female or not?

@@lilliawalter4578 It also depends on the Vocal Type, like for a Soprano it's really easy, for a Mezzo Soprano it's easy, but not too easy, for an Alto and Contralto they might have to have some form of training to be able to hit it, not saying that Sopranos and Mezzos don't have to have training too, but it's way easier for them.
Jennifer Hudson eat them all with her superb A5 note. Cleared and truly Belted.

I think Kelly Went slightly Flat actually, but that makes sense considering how big of a Jump it is to hit that note. Besides, G#5 is still super high and it sounded amazing regardless.

Yup, Kelly and Jennifer are the only ones that can be called real notes and not just some short ad libs

Considering that Demi had a cold this day, it's normal that she sounded nasally and this performance was awful and full of auto tune, listen to her other A5, it sounds amazing :)

Rafael Araújo That was nothing in the frame work in/of music any resemblance of control. It was strained, screechy and way too forced, border lining on yelling to even be a note. I seriously doubt she can sing an A5 as clear as Jennifer Hudson, who not only can sing an A5 with resonance, but Jennifer can sing and murder a B5 all day long. I've yet to hear anything that resembles that from Beyoncé. If there's another video that counteracts this one, please provide the tag.
I think she was trying to go for the rock n' roll thing, but it didn't worked. =( Some people say she has a couple of heavly mixed A5 belts, at DC era, and a exclamation in Flawless... By the way she's a mezzo, and it would be a big surprise for her to take a clean belt that high. She's still an amazing singer doe...
Carly Rea Well, they say Jennifer Hudson is a mezzo soprano and also Yolanda Adams and they don't have a problem with those notes in full chest voice. So I guess it's all in vocal training and the particular type( vocal fach) of mezzo soprano. So that means, Beyoncé isn't that type of mezzo that should do it in her full chest voice.

despairingleonardo She has a great Vocal Range. Her technique is good if you consider that she uses very well the resonators, she puts her tongue in a good position, but sometimes lack more support and she mix too much in some notes(which are shrill). Take for example the A5 of this video had a good support(not so much) but she mixed much and got a little shrill.

The A5 of Lea michele is auto tune like never , and the several times when she was suppose to hit that in live performance glee ,that was in playback. And this A5 of Lea micheles is in mixed voice.

I checked whit a frequency analizer and the frequency of the note that Ariana sang in the studio version of Santa Tell me was B5 (990 Hz) and the frequency analizer showed 986 Hz soo the note was B5 not A5 (882 Hz)

kriss hosein Mariah hit A5 Live in 2006 grammy's singing "Fly Like a bird" but not you can't hear it clearly.., But she HIT G5 LIVE, like nothing, which makes me think, that she can also, belt up to A5 easily.. bUt anyways, MARiah's highiest belted note Live, is G5 1 NOte lower Than A5, has resonance and melisma, unlike this singers showed in the video..

Beyonce sang a rock ballad by Prince. This A5 which is a Bb5 was growled since she hit it in a raw and raspy way suitable for the song. Actually it wasn't resonant, but well supported and placed. Also her larynx remains neutral, something lacks from the majority of the singers.

I didn't find Ariana surprising here because it's so obvious that her voice is high, and she can hit that note anytime. Considering that A5 is in her range, it's a little disappointing that she slightly lacks power in that region. I was more impressed with Amber because that was really powerful. Anyway, Beyonce could audition for the last exorcism if you ask me.

The A5 is very impressive, no doubt. But to me, Ariana's was the only one that resembled a musically pleasing note. Even with good technique, the note sounds quite shrieky and screamy in my opinion. That said, I appreciate these videos, and thank you for making them.
