My ranking: 1) Spirit temple: best soundtrank, new shield and awesome atmosphere. 2) Forest temple: good soundtrack, its a little bit scary but makes you feel in confidence, maybe bcause Link grew in a Forest. 3) Fire Temple: good atmosphere, maybe could be a little more beauty but its just a volcano. 4) Water temple: a little difficult but I think it deserved more beauty, like the newer version. 5) Shadow temple: when I was a kid, this temple caused me nightmares.
My favorite temples in order(and at least 1 thing i hated about it) 1: spirit temple - new shield, awesome music, amazing theme, epic boss fight (hated the iron knuckles) 2: fire temple - saving gorons, darunia, cool enemies. (Hated the spiral staircase room with the megaton hammer, kept falling) 3: forest temple - bow, boss fight (confusing at first, corridors really confused me) 4: shadow temple: hover boots (terrified me as a kid) 5: water temple: F this temple!!! (NEED I EXPLAIN?!?!?)
Funnily enough I didn't become scared of the Shadow Temple until i was older. and only then I'm scared of Wall/Floormasters and Redeads but I don't think there are that many of the latter enemy in that temple.
Each Track Rated: 1. Spirit Temple: It really sounds like an ancient near east vibe of some kind. The music fits the desert region and Gerudo as a whole very well and as what was presumably meant to be the last dungeon of the game this track makes a big impact. 2. Forest Temple: It's the first temple and first dungeon you are likely to do as adult Link. The music immediately tells you that you're not a kid anymore and that the world is full of darkness. The bone rattling sound fits well with the several stalfos and bubble enemies throughout the dungeon. It also sounds like the four Poe's are laughing at you the whole time. It really give off the spooky vibe and being the first adult dungeon it leaves a lasting impact. 3. Fire Temple (Original): The drums are an important instrument for the Gorons and combined with the muslim chanting sounds like the Gorons all united in a chant or prayer even since the Gorons are about to be fed to Volvagia. It also sounds like one Goron is leading the prayer which is cool. Also since I know some of the language spoken here it kind of adds to the vibe a bit. 4. Water Temple: It's beautiful and serene. Really fitting the style of the dungeon. The only thing bringing it down is that it feels a big generic and gets old after a few minutes. Also having to constantly switch boots makes enjoying this theme a pain. 5. Shadow Temple: It fits the vibe quite well. One problem is it's use in the bottom of the well. After being there and then hearing this music you know the whole thing already. Regardless it does sound like spirits calling out for help which you might think works better for the spirit temple but not really. The biggest problem is that it's quite repetitive and short.
idk if its just me but the oot soundtrack gives me a melancholic feeling, like being a kid again infront of a crt tv. And everytime i hear it i cant help but feel a little overwhelmed with nostalgia yk?
I'm sadly too young for not experiencing this game when it was all the rage, but hey, better late than never? me personally the graphics don't bother me all too much infact its quite charming, anywho my favourite track out of these is defiantly the older fire temple theme, i heard why they changed it but still just has that more of a strong feel.
@@sircrumpets_I made an extended version of that song and I remember that it took me way longer that it should of have to find the new Fire Temple theme
The problem is the new one lacks the "oomph" and creepiness factor of the chanting version but it's also just a rework of the Shadow Temple theme (as Koji was pressed for time to redo it).

It is ALWAYS a pleasure to visit the spirit temple. It’s my favorite of the temples!
It's also one of my favorite temples and I love the music that plays in it
I wish you could just replay individual levels in OOT cause I would just play the Spirit Temple over and over
The forest temple music is untemporal ! Everytime I hear it I got chills down my spine ! It reminds my childhood so much !
The forest temple sounds like you're at a haunted circus with crazy clowns with those weird sounds

The water temple theme literally gave me PTSD when it kicked in
Oops lol
Thanks, the perfect collection to listen to while working! The forest temple is so ethereal.
you're welcome, if you want you can check out the other videos in this series where i do this for other zelda games.
Just realized the reasoning for the ordering of the temple themes;
they go from material to immaterial,
from natural to supernatural
That's really cool, I don't think i ever realized that
love that you included the old fire temple theme too!
The chanting on the fire temple can also be heard in a very distorted way in minute 16:58 (shadow temple ost)
The new and old fire temple theme FINALLY
Oddly enough it was kind of hard to find the new fire temple theme, most of the results were of the old version.
@@vaatifirestar *as it should be!*

I remember I begun the game from the beginning because I changed the water level in water temple...near to 25 years ago...old and sweet times.

I honestly don't remember how I came up with this series, but I had a lot of fun making it since Zelda is one of my favorite video games.
Yeah j noticed the switch fire temple music was different to my n64 one the updated version sucked
The original included a chant that was apparently a Muslim prayer. Prayers + music are a big taboo in that culture.
