The World Famous Hanau Mud Races 1993 (Part 1 of 4)

Get Down 'n Dirty - it's time for the world famous Hanau mud races!
The mud pit that you see in this video was built by 53rd HMSC (53rd Heavy Maintenance Supply Company). The Hanau military post with headquarters at Hanau consisted of the Landkreis Büdingen, Gelnhausen, Schlüchtern and Hanau. Hanau is located in the southern part of Hessen, approximately 11 miles east of Frankfurt. Community Commander for Hanau was the Assistant Division Commander, 3rd Armored Division.
In 1975, Hanau Military Community was divided into the sub-communities of Hanau North, Hanau South, Fliegerhorst and Gelnhausen.
