I would definitely be laid back in Pattaya. I could see myself going out, but not staying out until 2am. I'm getting too old for that. Having expat friends would be something I would look for. It's hard to find friends here in the U.S. I think I would have an easier time in Thailand.

I get your point. The friend issue here is very unique. I find it very easy to make friends. Now you have to take that with the grain of salt. Real friendship takes time, sometimes years to develop. But still, there are a lot of people in the same boat you are, I literally go to bars like the famous “Cheers” where everybody knows your name. But it’s not only bars, but clubs and other entertainment venues that are available here

Yes, I always get a hotel room in the centre of the parties.
The room is just for showering and sleeping. I am back every night when the bars are closing so it all works out.

My first trip to Thailand I caught the bus from the airport to Pattaya. I was in Pattaya just before Halloween. I had 3 women in a massage parlor giving me a massage. Halloween night was in Insomnia and sexy slim Thai woman came tap me on my shoulder and asked me to party with her. They cut the lights on us in Insomnia and it was daylight outside. We went to my hotel and spent the rest of the day together.😆
