My friend who was fighting years of depression and health issues started to turn his life around a few months after this song was released. He told me that this song was one of the things that inspired him to keep going. Unfortunately, he passed away due to a stroke. @@miloh-k7660 Traveling is cool. It's exhausting for me, but I do enjoy it from time to time. The world is never going to be completely safe or consistent, so nobody should use that as an excuse for not doing something. I hear that excuse too often and I hate it. "I'm going to wait for the world to get better / open up more before I do X." People used to use climate change as their scapegoat for nothing doing things. For the past 2 years, people were using COVID as a reason to stay at home doing nothing. But those are just excuses. And I get it, because I'm pretty lazy too.
But the world won't wait for you, and you will only get older. Life is dangerous, even when it's safe. You could die from a bear attack, but you could also die from a random rare bacteria that you contracted from within your own home. Turtling up is no way to live. Granted, you should try and be safe within reason, but don't let it stop you from doing fun stuff. Don't take unnecessary risks, but take some risk.

I feel like this is similar to Gura's Reflect, in that it's a very personal song to Mumei. She worked so bloody hard on this, and it turned out just beautifully.

I cried for the first time in a very long time. I thought I had it all a few years back, lost my job, and as much as I wanted to bounce back, I kept getting turned down or ignored. Then the world as we know it regressed into isolation. Staying happy isn't easy when you can't find the courage to keep yourself pushing forward. Watching you and all these other girls is really uplifting, and this song made something finally crack and let out emotions I've been holding back. I needed it. Given the 'story' of Nanashi Mumei, a wandering being who nurtures civilization but can't remember who she is, where she came from, where she belongs and wanders as a result to experience life anew every x generations. Her name essentially means 'no name,'. Very chilling song.

That is, hands down, my favourite verse in the entire song after all this time for the sheer amount of meaning that you can derive from it.
Stories are told over the ages, in the from of books, with pages being flipped over, but also rewritten - in one of two immediate ways, either as they are told down to newer and newer generations in the form of:
Daytime, school lessons, or Nighttime, bedtime stories.
Both being scribed with new meaning, as concepts evolve and change with the endless and monotonous passage of time prompting us to find solace in remembering these stories told and retold over the ages.
I come to this song from time to time whenever I want to end a certain phase of my life to begin a new one. It will forever be special for me!

I just love the lyrics of this song so much. Doing something unfamiliar, going out of your comfort zone, bursting your own bubble just to experience what it really feels like to be alive, and not just to exist for the sake of existing, but really live life.
After I graduate from college, I felt lost. I do not know what to do with my life anymore. And that's the reason why I like this song, because basically, it encourages us to move forward no matter how hard and uncertain the world and the future might be.
"I might end up dirty and disheveled but I don't want to grow old doing nothing" perfectly summed up what I'm feeling all these years. I'm doing small steps about my stagnation, and I hope that whoever feel the same way as me, you find the courage to take that one small step for a brand new start.

Yes, indeed we human stray from time to time like dark ages, world war but we still persist, civilization still persist. That cheerful tone saying as long as we still stay as we are felt like pushing us to try new things and even if we stray a little bit that's fine that's just how human is. Even if we do stray too far and stumbled so hard that we hurt ourself, we can relax for a bit an do a new start on a different path. So long as humanity still exist, civilization will never perish.

ムメイちゃんの歌声が好きだし森カリオペが作詞に関わっていてムメイちゃん、カリオペらしいとてもいい作品だと思いました。聴くにつれ2番のサビに入り涙してしまいました。

The buildup and chorus are distinctly different, it’s like there’s two songs in one. I like it when people go out of the norm to explore and experiment. This is just the beginning! To more original songs in the future!

I agree the song is great but it doesn't feel like 2 songs in 1 for me. If you want to see some more songs that are "really out of their way", check out "drift - happy chaos's theme" and the Guilty Gear franchise OST

I love everything about this! Mumei's vocals are marvelous as expected, but I'm also really impressed by the quality of the composition! The marching beat really sells the exploration and adventure vibe, and the kick into double time for the chorus gives it an extra shot of bouncy cheerfulness that brings a smile to my face every time.
That mountain range looks familiar.
The song is very fun, the sound feels curious. Like it's a good bgm for a simple campaign where there are no BBEG but just a simple adventure of fun.

bro this song appeared on my youtube playlist, i thought this was an rpg - anime song, vibing with it on loop, then notice Mumei was the singer, im impressed
This feels like the op of a fantasy anime that, rather than being focused on the action, it would focus on the adventure and feelings associated with it, as well as the little things like the bond between the adventuring party and their time together. It feels like an anime that would be fluffy and cute, but at times would get emotional and even bittersweet. The best thing I could imagine is K-On, but as a fantasy anime about adventure rather than high school girls in a band.
It feels like the op of an anime that would hit me right in the feels, but not because it’s gritty and dark, but because it’s practically the opposite. It’s beautiful.
