Oh my gosh now that I'm seeing this again, there's 100% a storyline if you were to watch them in order. As this was supposed to be before the skateboarding video, now this transitions right to it with Kronii flying the ice cream truck and the skateboarders ready to watch Magging time.

You know what? I wouldn't mind seeing a new version every year-- based off of all the goofy references that happened throughout the year. Like, sort of a year-end synopsis in a short, cute, and funny MV. This can be part 1. Then next year, possibly part 2!

I saw some folks suggesting using the sinking of Atlantis as a replacement for one of the removed scenes, glad that actually made it in. That mythical event fits in perfectly with Gura's lore connection alongside Mumei's. And from the looks of things, an eldritch horror sunk the city.
For those who both don’t know Japanese and don’t use Closed Captions, Mumei’s voice is adjusted according to the lyrics. Basically, almost every line is of the form “Getting ______ and ______”, using the same word for both, like “Getting closer and closer,” or “Getting deeper and deeper.” Her voice is then changed through software to match the line. 0:00 and 0:51 - Her voice fades in (for the start) and gets louder for “closer”, “nearer”, and “louder”. As the video was about how Mumei was actually responsible for a lot of human disasters? Could be wrong but I think that's what I saw around the time it came out.

Mumei, you have something you can be proud of. While I didn't have any issues with the previous one (I was pretty young when I heard about it and my older brother and sisters were around when it happened), I feel the changes do not really change much to the song's feelings. I am looking forward to your future works.
My theory is that both of them may have sunk it together but were not aware of each others existence when they sunk it and what we see on thier MV's is their perspective when atlantis sank.

I like the new scenes better honestly. Much more humour injected into them than the previous ones.
I saw some folks suggesting using the sinking of Atlantis as a replacement for one of the removed scenes, glad that actually made it in. That mythical event fits in perfectly with Gura's lore connection alongside Mumei's. And from the looks of things, an eldritch horror sunk the city.

For those who both don’t know Japanese and don’t use Closed Captions, Mumei’s voice is adjusted according to the lyrics.
Basically, almost every line is of the form “Getting ______ and ______”, using the same word for both, like “Getting closer and closer,” or “Getting deeper and deeper.” Her voice is then changed through software to match the line.
0:00 and 0:51 - Her voice fades in (for the start) and gets louder for “closer”, “nearer”, and “louder”. It briefly gains a whisper quality for “shier”.
0:28 - It becomes pitched down for “wider” and “deeper”.
0:32 - It becomes pitched up for “thinner” and “cuter”.
0:37 - It uses the stereo speakers, too, moving from the left speaker to the right speaker for the line, “Gradually moving from left to right.”
0:42 - It then moves from the right speaker to the left speaker for the line, “Gradually moving from right to left.”
1:18 - Finally, it fades out and gets softer and quieter for “further” and “fainter”.

EDIT: I think actually I saw it discussed there were was a seen of a rocket ship blowing up and it seemed like a reference to the Challenger explosion and it was removed as it seemed in bad taste? What I said below could be me completely misremembering.
If I recall correctly, there was a skyscraper being destroyed and either some people or Hololive became concerned it would be compared or seen as a reference to 9/11? As the video was about how Mumei was actually responsible for a lot of human disasters? Could be wrong but I think that's what I saw around the time it came out.

What you're probably misremembering is the Hindenburg reference, the reason that was taken out was because the Hindenburg was a Nazi airship and since the version in the original video was plastered with KFP logos it would look bad for Kiara

Mumei, you have something you can be proud of. While I didn't have any issues with the previous one (I was pretty young when I heard about it and my older brother and sisters were around when it happened), I feel the changes do not really change much to the song's feelings. My theory is that both of them may have sunk it together but were not aware of each others existence when they sunk it and what we see on thier MV's is their perspective when atlantis sank.
