He's a genius in mixing creativity, rational explanation and practical routine. Usually, one of them is missing in training. But he combines all of it into a model experience.
I would like to see a video showing what a typical training session for the Russian boxers looks like to help me organise my own training. The best boxing channel on TH-cam. I would love to fly to Russia and train at this gym. I study Russian boxing always. Thank you from England.
warm up , basic concept, once basic concept is learned, do a drill, do a more challenging version of that drill, if possible make it competitive game out of the drill, and warm down
Every video is absolutely spot-on. Like sometimes I even ask myself, “Right, okay...where’s coach Frolov going with this one?!” 🤔🤓🧐... ...*5 minutes later* “Ohhh! I get it now. Coach Frolov was right...as he always is.” 🤷♂️👌🙏

@@gc2696 Or perfectly good and orthodox instructions, but just different to what this guy is teaching and it definitely looks awkward and uncomfortable, but at the same time, it's a punch that GGG throws all the time.
I feel you. I’ve been watching his vids and copying his instructions then I coach friends. But the girl didn’t learn it well. She just did what she’s done. I quite clearly understand what he’s said and taught. Plus , when you got it, it’s so comfortable to make moves. Punches are harder and faster. Tbh, some of them I cant copy cos I myself cant

I,ve watched a few of his video , I,m a level one amateur coach, and I find these videos unique in his technique of teaching , you do wonder where he is going with his methods , and suddenly you see it fits , I always say to my students ( mostly juniors ) , it will take a little while before muscle memory kicks in , and these techniques will become the norm , he used a great terminology in a video he did with some juniors , whilst going through a drill with them , he referred to them as not having “ the motor skill “ as yet to smoothly execute the drills , especially in situations where you have to engage the shoulder , very , very interesting coach , with an different approach to teaching , yeah I like this…👊🏾👊🏾
Surprise your opponent by coming over their lead hand or jab and create an angle to attack while the opponent has to turn & square up to effectively attack.
I appreciate this style of boxing, but I have to say from my own experience...throwing hooks like this just doesn't "work" for me. It hurts my shoulder a ton...it lands awkwardly...and it lacks any of the usual power I have throwing a move conventional hook. I'm not sure how it works for others.
It's a vertical hook. He has another video explaining a vertical vs horizontal hook. Essentially a vertical hook is much better for going around guards and arm blocks.
It is a hook but a looping hook I think. An overhand should be coming straight down on top, that is still coming from the side. It's a good shot feels awkward at first tho
He's very good coach. I hear what you're saying tho. Its just not what you're used to seeing compared to your typical hook. Usually hooks are taught to come from the side and not looping as you can be punished heavily for it so I understand why you'd think its bad advice. Everyone is different, it could be useful if you use it correctly but it definitely has its flaws. It is quite a telegraphed punch.
Actually i met this guy in Russia He has a lot knowledge i know but this particular punch id is bullshit and i even not mentioned the unpatience he has with his student I my self started boxing in 1984 after ended competition became trainer now for 18 years training the lessons i give all Russian styles So don't tell me i don't shit about boxing

There s a one hour video for ussr boxing team training.
The video covers everything kind of.
It's here on TH-cam
Many of you don't know but Dmitry Bivol actually uses this combo very often.

I don’t understand why people like this. This is terrible.
Why this coach is training telegraphing , that big swing?
Is this gazelle punch?
Hmm, i think i have seen Gennady Golovkin do this. Weird angle.
Also look at UFC's Petr Yan... the way he throws his hooks are the same
Smooth circles are deceptively powerful ....you don't see where they're headed until it's too late 🤕
@The Mercurial Man HA! I just mentioned GGG in another comment.
@The Mercurial Man Also, lots of Povetkin in this style as well, which makes sense.
When I watch this my left rotator cuff is screaming :)
Haha true
Thank you sir
Very good 👍
Why he s so good ?
Can draw a much bigger circle at the scapula than the shoulder joint alone.
Perhaps 😹
is it just me or does katya looking kind of like justin bieber
another perfect bite sized lesson

🥊 Swing Merci 👍
What will this technique do?
Surprise your opponent by coming over their lead hand or jab and create an angle to attack while the opponent has to turn & square up to effectively attack.
Might be good for chasing an opponent into the ropes. Not bad. She just exaggerated the jump cause you don't jump up put to the front.
Not easy but interesting to play with.
wow

God this is frustrating! Do as he's asking!! 😄
This movement is not so good for the shoulder, internal rotation is really pronounced in this case
I tried this during padwork andmy trainer wasn't expecting that type of hook and I accidentally caught him square in the chin.I feel like an asshole😖
That looks more like a overhand than a hook.
Wouldn't care about the difference if I got smacked in the ear with it 😅😵
