@@DIEmicrosoft hello Dave, Bugs was a texan Bluesrockguitarist, i have seen him 2 times here in Germany and he inspired my own guitar playin a lot......Kind regards and carry on
@@thorstenriedel3152 Cool. Have seen Buddy Guy and Roy Buchanan here in Australia, both great shows. Check out Boyd Rivers at 1979 Mississippi Delta Blues festival, amazing. Enjoy
Totally fantastic! I am so glad that we have TH-cam to preserve this wonderful music. Freddie King was amazing and his musicianship is of the highest order.
Cool - Freddie doing "Funny Bone"...one of his many instrumentals you don't hear often. Great vid of him, along with Gate, Billy Cox, Johnny Jones, etc. and, of course, The Hossman, WLAC's Bill Allen. I read once that King Records owner, Syd Nathan, titled a lot of Freddie's instrumentals with this goofy names, which Freddie hated!
I heard he used to plug in to a Fender Tweed Bassman with four 10" speakers , turn it around and place it about a foot away from the wall , crank it up tp ten and and rock out .
The woman dancer in the back of stage has on Shindig boots..there called back in my time.🤗😂..yip..everybody dig shindig boots ..What a guitar player and band is great..rhythem is fantastic..
Actually, when Buddy Guy wrote "Mary Had A Little Lamb" he had obviously been listening to a Freddie King instrumental called "Just Pickin'". Check it out if you have never listened to it, you won't regret it!
@james crowe: Yes, you are correct, sir! I should have been clearer with my statement. What i meant to write was that that Jimi's intro to Come On has a very similar riff pattern to Freddie's Funny Bone intro, and not just because they are both blues-based.
@james crowe Cool. I'm from Montreal. The thing is, I was wrong in my first post about the song title for sure. Those bluesmen would borrow/covet/steal riffs from each other all the time. It's part of their thing.
@james crowe just looked up Earl King on youtube and found the 45rpm of Come On from 1960. Jimi copied the solo pretty close., a testament to Earls' guitar work. Thanks again for the word.
Mary Had A Little Lamb se la afanó muchos años antes Buddy Guy. Y no está afanada tanto de Funny Bone como de otro instrumental de Freddie, Just Pickin'.
Freddie had the most groove of the 3 kings. And he was the most rock n roll.
He is my favorite King, don`t forget his voice.
Freddie was the most rock'n roll, Albert the most funky, and BB the most jazzy(?)
Freddie is the king of blues funk! He was a groovy cat.
I think he's more rock and roll than the og's of rock and roll
He doesn’t rock near as hard as Stephen King 🤭🤘🤘🤘
Nothing buts a smile on my face like Freddie King, and later in his career he could bring a tear to my eye
Mary had a little lamb came from this🔥
Immortal, without him there had been no Stevie Ray Vaughn
Or Johnny Winter.
@@DIEmicrosoft or Bugs Henderson
@@thorstenriedel3152 Haven't heard of him, will have to check him out. Cheers.

Love those GoGo dancers!!!
*I love how his 345 hits that amp so damn hard... It's almost a fuzz tone, but it's just those PAFs rammed straight into a 12AX7...*
Yes! And add to that the bite he got from using a metal finger pick.
I wish I could have seen this stuff at the time when I was kid. They didn't have shows like this on midwest farm town stations.
King of Kings.

BRAVO! My Favorite Nice Tune.

yup
Freddie played LOUD. Judging by his guitar sound, they might have had his amp shoved into a corner in the back of the studio. Just. Too. Cool.
Thew a blanket over it. Sounds muffled.
Epic early guitar fuzz tone, love it.

I saw him playing on TV and his amp was turned backwards.
I absolutely love the dancing girls, besides the great music! Wow, beautiful girls. Really!

I can hear where JMH got his inspiration for Let The Good Times Roll. This show is really good, try to find the whole performance.
@james crowe : James Marshall Hendrix.
