A great video and great weather for your walk. They may not be Munro sized but these hills of north west Scotland are fantastic, some of my favourite hills. Thanks for the video.
Brilliant great to see non munro mountains for me it’s not about the height it’s about the adventure and those are stunning mountains up there and what a day yous got ☀️⛰️ 👍
Hi Guys, Assynt is just stunning. This is the first ever video I’ve seen of someone doing Quinaig. What a stunning mountain. Some amazing rock formations on show. All the best gents Dave 😀🥾⛰🏴
Hi Dave, Many thanks for the subscription it’s much appreciated. I really hope you have similar conditions to our visit as it’s a stunning day out. A nice variety of ridges with breathtaking views. Enjoy….. Cheers
A fantastic days weather Charlie, I had a dismal days weather for these two. I used the same route exactly as you... good to fill in the blanks of the views I didn't see! ATB, Alistair 👍
Hi Alistair, We had the same experience on our first visit so it was great getting the weather day we had. It's a super walk with a nice variety of tops. Thanks for watching. Cheers
Best hill in Assynt, in my humble opinion. Provides stunning views and a variety of options in how much/little you do. John Muir Trust look to have improved the paths since we were last there. Thanks for uploading, Charlie. 🏴🏔👍
Another wonderful day and a superb record of the trip. A lovely ridge walk and what incredible views of a glorious part of the country. All the best and thanks for sharing again. Murdo
Love the Corbetts in that area! I'll be back in Ullapool for a week in 3 weeks time, so hopefully we get good weather for our last 2 Corbetts in that beautiful area. Fabulous video, as usual Charlie.
Hi, Charlie. Almost exactly 25 years ago I climbed Quiniag, or rather two thirds of Quiniag. I can't remember why I didn't visit Sail Gorm! These island hills are just great, aren't they. Thanks again.
Fantastic vid again Charlie, you captured the whole hike and area beautifully. I got similar conditions when I did those 3 corbetts some years ago, I still rank them as some of the best hiking and viewing you’ll get. Are you up there for a weeks hiking.? ATB Frank
Hi Frank, I agree, the tops up in this area are all stunning with the typical west coast views. We're up for another few days but limited targets this year as we are all running on three cylinders 🤣 Cheers
Anoher great route and video to match Charlie. Thank you. I'm up there next week and I was just wondering - I'm just getting over a bit of Knee trouble myself - and like your Man I was thinking of doing the "Direct" up pat the Lochan to the top of Quinag initially and then if I could still breath I could reverse your route back down over Spidean Coinnich. Would there be any problems doing it in Reverse do you think ? Any advice - greatly appreciated. Slainte.
Hi Les, Its a good plan to head for the lochan and see how you are going. You'll have no issues with the reverse route as there is a good path and nothing technical. The gradual drop back to the car on large slabs is a joy. Really hope you get the weather to fully enjoy the day. Cheers
