That's a sweet looking bass and I like the idea of the short scale. I recently bought my first bass and still can't play it very well but it's fun to try.
Hi, Dale! GTSY again. Fun is what is all about in my book. I always played short scales even when I was a kid. So much easier on the hands. Root, 5th's & Octaves will get you half the way there. Then again, I'm pretty lazy! LOL!
Hi, Martin, GTSY & Thanks! Playing guitar really helps as you know chord structure already. Roots, 5th's, 7th's, minor vs. major. You're right there already. It is a great alternative thing to have around.
Howdy Greatvanzini, very cool those sheets show the magnetics just Right, Nice BASS, i only have 2 one is very finger Friendly,Peavey Milestone 3, not sure year. And my old Fender 70's Music Master & matching Amp, but with hand Damaged and other it's not a instrument i play just to get by, Your Music-In-Law R Hall 🤘🎸🤠

Hi GV i haven’t been getting your notifications but saw your message on R4’s channel and thought I better come over and say Hi again (as it’s been a while) hope you have been well and nice to see you are always uploading great vids with a lot of interesting facts for us stay safe and well and nice to see you again 🎸❤️
Thanks for coming by, Alicia! I just realized I haven't received any notifications from your channel either. Turns out I am still subbed but I somehow got the bell turned off. Turned on now. Hope you are well too.
I have the same bass. I love it. The bridge screws had to be cut way down because they were like razors. The strings seem to rattle all over the fret board but that may be because I push on the strings with too much force. Maybe it needs a set up. I have no idea. I do enjoy playing it though.
Hey, Knees! Sure sounds like a set up is in order. Mine needed a neck adjustment just a pinch. It had no relief or very little. Just a 1/4 turn & it was fine. Pretty good right out of the box. Thanks for the watch!
www.talkbass.com/threads/grestch-junior-jet-ii-pickup-upgrade.1559623/ I keep seeing references to Thunderblades & ThunderMag pups. TV Jones? No 1st hand knowledge though.
Hi, DAS! Thanks for dropping by. Very cool. Were they still claiming it had humbuckers? You might still be able to get a rebate depending on when you bought it.
@@greatvanzini I got mine right around the time when it was coming out that the bass had single coil pickups. I qualified for a 'rebate', but didn't bother trying to claim it (a little merchandise was offered as a 'rebate'), as that would have been somewhat of a hassle in itself. 😄
Pretty tight on the string space compare to most long scale basses. Similar to a Hofner. & as I only have 50 straps about, do you think find even one of them? Thanks for dropping by.
Not really. hmm,,, Way thinner & smaller than say a P bass but, hmm a little less thicker than an EB3. That's from memory. Oh I know, a little thicker than a Hofner. Fun bass stuff at www.youtube.com/@TheBassfresh/videos
Great review. I have to admit those magnetic sheets were pretty cool. Keep up the great work! 🤘🏽🎸
They are! Low End Lobster channel showed me those. Appreciate you dropping by for a visit, AQ.
Thanks for this review GV , I've been curious about these. Cheers!
Hi, AG! They are great little basses at this price point, humbucker or not.

nice looking bass great information, well done Sir hip hip!!!
Appreciate it, Charlie! Dig your Live streams & singing.
That bass looks cool and sounds good, too, I find. Thanks for the information 🙂
Hey, David, GTSY! Yes, it sounds better than should at this price point. It's a fun one for sure.
I really should learn some bass other than playing the root note with octaves...
Great demo GV!
Cheers,
Martin

Ryan, GTSY! As I age, bass actually seems more problematic for my hands then the 6 string. Enjoyed your stream/interview with Ben on his channel.

That's I'm 81 my hands are going out on me they don't want to work as long as your having fun.
Yes, indeed. I have to remind myself of that from time to time.
Sounds killer!

Konjunto! GTSY. Hope you are well. It really is a great little player. Even with the scandal.
Beautiful instrument, Van
Cheers brother
Thanks again, John. It is a cool but cheap bass. It has far better tone & playability than it should have at that price.
Do you have suggestions for actual mini humbuckers that will fit in this bass and also sound great?
