You and I have a very different definition of simple. I am not ready for builds like this yet.
Thx for putting this content out there!
Made this for may dad. Great easy to follow plans. I was able to use my CNC to create the pocket. Also used a bowl to create the curve on the legs. Thanks for the plans Matt. Always love your videos.
Great projet! I just love the build and the accessories for holding the bits and keys... Thank you!
The speed and clarity of you instructions are unmatched! Keep it up!
well, the speed certainly is!
thank you , sir! THIS might be just what my neighbor and I have been looking for! I really like your videos.
Wow what a quick and easy build, I’ve been looking for something like this! Thanks so much!
I built this router table this weekend. Thank you for the ideas!
Pretty cool! The walnut tray gave me an idea for a storage box.
Great idea especially if you don’t have space for a larger router table! 👊🏽
Nice router table....I built one a few months ago....a bit larger with 2 drawers on each side.....I'm going to see if the fence will store on the back like yours did....GREAT idea. Now off to watch the cross cut sled video
That little table for the router is a very good idea, thanks for sharing.
Glad you like it!
Nice build, takes up less space and easy to move around
And that... my friends... is how you make a TH-cam video. 👍
Thanks!
Good video Matt, nice quick table
Fantastic, very simple table.
Perfect timing I was just thinking build or buy now definitely building
Those plans are absolutely top notch!!! I was very impressed!
Glad you like them!
I like your simple take on it, thanks, Matt
Glad you like it!
I need one of those million dollar sticks. That kickback is scary!
Very nice build , great job Matt !
Thanks!
I Definitely need to build this!
Nice work 👍
I figure on making something very similar, perhaps even this one from your plans. :-)
The only changes I would make is find someplace else for storing the fence and put a French cleat on the back.
I have a French cleat on the front of my workbench, so being able to just move the router table from the French cleat wall to the front of my workbench will make it an easy height to work on without having to clamp it to the workbench.
Thank ya much for this, and all the rest, of your videos. :-)
This is a good idea! I need to make one!
@731Woodworks - Please consider an updated version of this table to coincide with the updated version of the router table insert... Thank you
Love your content, thank you
Awesome video Mr. Outlaw!!!
Glad you liked it!
Great build Matt great video
Thanks 👍
This is precisely why I can't throw anything away! Thank you friend. Great job as usual.
Thanks for watching!
Nice to see a project video. Thanks for your dedication
Thanks mate just purchased the plans. Time to go to work. 👍🏻🇦🇺
Have fun!
Thanks because I’m going to be upgrading my router station for my new woodworking shop j 3:16
made something similar here, however I used drive in nuts (driven in from the top) and metric screws below the inlay so i can fine adjust the flushness of the inlay. nonetheless great thing to have and hugely more stable than freehanding with such a small router :)
I like it!👊🏾😎
If it ever decides to cool off enough to get out and build something this might be where I direct my energy.
That person selling the acrylic plate is going to be wondering why they can't keep up making those LOL! I'm sure they use a CNC and batch out several in a couple of hours but still... You've built this channel up to the point that if only 2-5% of your subscribers were to order within the first week that's a lot of router plates sold!
Very cool!! Thanks Mighty Matt
Glad you liked it!
I've got a cheap Kobalt 10" 15 amp job site table saw and I've made a "drop-in" palm router table to go in the slide out section. I'm gonna try to adapt your fence for it, thanks so much for the inspiration and the know-how brother!
I have a cheap kobalt 10" 15amp job site table too, do you have plans for this drop in? How did you make it? And yeah the fence is a good idea.
@@dardack Oh I'm sure there's a better one out there somewhere. But I just took an oak 1x8 that I had and cut it to length I think 23", then put rabbets on the underside left and right to make it fit the slide-out opening snugly. I planed it down to level with the table. I made my router holes (countersunk from the top for bolts) and bolted it on. I made a miter slot on the long edge. I used the fence from this as a basis for mine, but I made some "ears" or whatever for the underside of the fence and snug them up with finger bolts from the top like any other jig. Super simple, quick and dirty, but it works really well. I use my a palm router in this, it's easy to open the router latch and drop it out to change the bit, then pop it back in. I know that was basic, let me know if you have any questions.
@@skampp I appreciate you getting back to me I just want something simple quick dirty but works. Would you next time you take it out take a picture I understood most of what you said but the ears part and after I got lost
Nice project! What size round over bit, (radius), did you use?
I’ve missed your project videos.
Understood. The reason they are few and far between is because the majority don't watch them. So far this is 10th out of the last 10 videos I've released in view count.
Great video sir .
Protruding is a lot of word however antidisestablishmentarianism is also a long word .
0:16 I’d call mine the “NES” cause storage is about 16 bits🤣
Where did you buy this nice looking plywood? Going to check out your plans for this.
Nice little project but with the price of plywood I think it'd be better value just to buy the Skil router kit combo. Especially if you don't have a lot of the bits etc. for doing something like this.
Just remember to unhook the battery when changing bits on battery powered router.
What countersink bit do you recommend? There's a ton of brands and sizes. Thanks
I love it
Thank you.
Hey Matt, I have an older craftsman router table which I found out yesterday that it’s made of sawdust and glue wood. Is there a way I can turn the router from the table into a plunge router? TYIA
What program do you use to create your plans?
Looks like a copy of 3x3 Custom-Tamar top bench router. She collaborated with someone else and you can buy it. All you’ve got to do is assemble it.
There's actually several "mini" router tables on TH-cam going back 6 or more years ago. This is just my take on one.
@@731Woodworks Ya, there's several out there and they're all a bit different. I got my design from another yt'r but I do like that plexi-glass top a lot so I'm going to steal your idea 731. Thanks for the video.
Yeah. I saw a similar one from DIY for Knuckleheads a couple years ago.
Aren't just about all woodworking tutorials and clips copies of someone else's ideas?
With Jonathan Katz Moses
how thick of ply wood did you make the top
Is “STAYBILITY” an Arkansas thang?
What brand of tape are you using?
Do you have any building plans for this?
how do you reconcile the fact that DeWalt specifically prohibits the use of this router upsidedown?
Question: if you decide not to make or buy an insert because you are not confident enough to do that, would I just drill the holes to mount the router directly into part A? Do I still need to cut out the centre in this case?
How hard would it be to put a lift on it?
Dude this is sick! I love the black under the clear base, and great idea for dust collection. This probably works better than most brands out there
Thanks!
Your router works on a battery. How do you manage emergency stops?
This is nearly identical to the plans I bought from John Malecki
I guess I can contact you through here. Nobody can find Baltic birch. We all know why. Wondering if solid wood panels can be substituted for plywood. What kinds of wood would be best?
would you recommend this for a bosch PR20EV trim router? (1.0 hp colt)
I prefer the cordless DeWALT personally but the Bosch is a good one too
WWWAAASWWWWWW!! it s never see!!!!
The pocket hole jig you used and recommended is no longer available. Do you have any recommendations for which jig to get now?
It's available on my website faithvalleytools.com/collections/massca-products
Is this table only for trim routers or for mid and full size routers as well?
It should work with any router if you have the right insert plate.
You are a very good wood worker.I have been doing it for 40 years, you do lmpress me .
How much does it cost in materials to build this?
is this the router table you ended up attaching to your rolling packout?
yes, but it just sets on top, not attached
Router plate insert link not working as of Jan 11.
How much will it cost $$$$
I got a second router base that is permanently attached to my table.
nobody i know has this amount of equipment so a newby is not going to do anythng you build without money to buy all those tools but nice video
All he used was a table saw and jigsaw… jigsaws are like 30 bucks. And a table saw should be the first tool you buy if you are getting into woodworking. It’s the cornerstone of everything. Used ones can be found for less than 150.
Further more you can literally do all
These cuts with the jigsaw, handsaws, or whatever.
Now for the recess insert. Surely you have a router to do that or why are you even making a router table for a router you don’t have?
damn this table look like DIYForKnuckleheads router table made 2 year ago...
exactly what I was thinking. Even has the same leg shape cut ins...
@@Breadbaker4130 yep !! look likes 731 are a sneaky one 🤣
Lol guarentee someone else made the design and got no credit. Most of them take blueprints or ideas from somewhere.@@DragonEyeOfficial
Dude, use your blade guard. You may feel you don't need it, but you don't want to give viewers (especially inexperienced viewers) the idea that THEY don't need it.
First
👊
“A beginner can build”…now that is clickbait.
This is not safe. A stationary tool is required to have an easy to reach emergency off button.
Did you speed up the audio on this video? Because it seems like you're taking faster than a new york divorce attorney......
No, I didn't. Just a faster paced edit (more cuts, etc.)
I hope at some point in the future to not see your thumbnails with mock expressions on them. Like I am getting so I want to unsub.
Understood. After posting over 800 videos on this channel and testing thousands of thumbnail variations, this is what the majority click on. I have a testing feature that tests 3 at a time. Nearly every test, people choose this a lot more often vs not. That's why it's done. As far as you unsubscribing because of it, I wouldn't want to lose you as a subscriber at all, however, why would it carry so much weight with you if you get value out of the content? Just curious. Thanks.
Worthless to fast😢.
Why do people pull stupid faces for TH-cam?
Looks good, I was about to recommend a name change, from 731 woodworks to 731 tool reviews😂.
kidding …. Love what you do.
Probably be more accurate moving forward lol. This one was one and the last build was 2 of my bottom performing videos in the last several months.
