I am going to Tirana in july and I can not wait I have watched the video's about the people and their beautiful country. they are so friendly and they make you feel so welcome, I think Albania is fast becoming a main holiday destination for tourist.

All strangers who seek shelter must be protected and taken care of. At the end of the war, 2000 Jews lived under Albanian protection and they speak of the generosity and care all the Albanians gave them. Only one family of Jews was lost during this period of asylum; the rest of the entire Jewish population was saved even during the days of German occupation, and King Zog's government continually refused to give the names of Jews to the Germans. The only other nations that saved the vast majority of the Jews were the Bulgarians (almost 100%) and the Nazi's own allies, the Italians (about 90%). But, no group beats the Albanians in this effort. When you ask many countries why they didn't save more Jews, they respond, "What else could we do?" When you ask Albanians why they endangered themselves to save all their Jewish refugees, they respond, "What else could we do?"

Quiet down.. not everyone aspires to be associated with MAGA Republican cultism. There are people in parts of the country who like normalcy in politics, not chaos and buffoonery.
I went to Albania this summer for the first time. It far exceeded my expectations and I LOVED it. I would 100% go back and recommend it.
