I like how Narinder had his final straw with us and then dropped this banger while my anxiety took over because I had only 3 hearts left. I kept this song on my Spotify playlist and it’s still there along with the exploration themes too.
For ones saying this boss was weak,it was perfect for me. Like in Dark souls 1,the final boss is Gwyn, which is just the freakin most empowered thing in the universe...But he seems different,a fallen creature that one time was more than a god. The exact same happens here, you are fighting a creature that waited milleniums for something good, that asked for your sacrifice. This isn't Narinder anymore, but a creature in ruins that sometime was one of the 5 most powerful things to ever exist,a consequence of his own action. I love it.
this music (whole ost) makes my brain go brrrr in the best way. it's quickly become a favourite and will be in my playlists for months. very very very fun and vibe-y!! amazing fucking job!! also, i need to hear any future projects you make!!!
I'm not sure if you intended for this, but I had an interesting take on the choirs? Chanting? I dunno I'm gonna call em choirs. The deeper, more evil sounding choir could represent The One Who Waits, being a giant deity and all. The deep choir takes the lead in the song, being the first voice you hear, setting a menacing mood for the battle. This is after all, the fight against the one those vocals represent. Then there's the higher pitched, more human-ish choir, which represents The Lamb. These vocals are less powerful at the beginning compared to The One Who Waits, having less presence compared to the deep choir. The Dark Choir even overtakes the light choir during the middle of the song, but like before, is overpowered by the light choir for the remaining segment of the loop. Whenever the light choir takes over, it gains a doubled layer on itself, seemingly empowered by an unseen force. This track is literally the two figures of power, The One Who Waits and The Lamb, fighting while they're actually fighting in game, and personally I find that amazing. I'm not sure if this was the intended effect but if it was, it proves that you are a musical genius, great work River Boy!
Wait that's actually a really great analysis??? Now that you mention it, you can hear Narindar's growls here in the OST Sacrfice. Probably indicating that all these sacrfices are made in his name
The Bishops of the Old Faith were quite prominent in the old days. They seemed to work together. To be kind to one another. To appreciate one another’s help, regardless of how much one hated another. But it wasn’t long until that changed. The 5th sibling, Narinder, wasn’t happy. He instead, after being gifted the Red Crown by one of his siblings, to use it to create his own cult. But it wouldn’t be easy. Eventually, his siblings figured out what was going on, and tried to banish the Beast That Was Once a Bishop. They succeeded in doing so, but not without consequence. Leshy, the youngest of the siblings, wanted the approval of the rest. And because of that wanting, it led to him losing his eyes. Heket, the next, was regarded as “The Voice of the Old Faith. And, as revenge, Narinder slit her throat. Even though this wouldn’t rid her of her voice, the wound wouldn’t leave. Kallamar was the next one. He was the first one to figure it out, to try and warn his siblings. But nobody listened. And, as if it were some sort of joke, he wouldn’t be listening either, as he would be the one to lose his ears. And finally, Shamura. She was the wisest and oldest of the siblings, the one that gave Narinder the Red Crown originally. And she took the worst injury of them all, as her skull was shattered, leaving her brain vulnerable. With this, she gained pain and revelations that would be important. Narinder was sealed away. Bound to his own realm, tied up by four chains, each one guarded by a bishop. It seemed like it was over. But it wasn’t. Shamura received a prophecy. That the Sacrificial Lamb would come to kill the bishops and free Narinder, now known by a different name. Heket and Leshy immediately decided to hunt down every single lamb, until only one remained. Kallamar, still terrified of his bound brother, his in his territory, Ancheodeep. Eventually, the last lamb was taken to the sacrificial pedestal. But the bishops made a miscalculation. They killed it, sending it to the realm of death. What they failed to realize was that that was the realm of Narinder himself. Narinder, following the prophecy, gave the lamb his prized possession, the Red Crown. The Lamb followed his instructions, killing each of the four bishops. But when finally close to being free, the lamb refused to give the crown back. Enraged and filled with betrayal, he sent out his two “sons” to kill it. They both failed. He then went for his last resort. Fighting the lamb head on. Narinder, the Beast That Once Was a Bishop. Narinder, the sibling that gouged Leshys eyes out. Narinder, the sibling that slit Hekets throat. Narinder, the sibling that sliced Kallamars ears off. Narinder, the sibling who shattered Shamuras skull. Narinder, the sibling bound for over a millennia. Narinder, the sibling who finished what he had started: by killing his siblings. No, not Narinder. The One Who Waits.

just finished this game and it was a fucking rollercoaster! The bosses and the enemies were so hard and that’s what made this game so good! Thanks Devolver for such a badass game!
this makes me feel a certain way about the fight now, the god who gives you a chance to then betray you, but their are still mixed feeling toward him in a way, it kinda feels like when you find out your father is the bad guy and you personally are the only one to take him down, but he is still your father..you're doing the right thing but but you still emotionally attached towards him. singing together as you both must leave alone. and be only one victor
Ironically is what Shamura directly warns you about. He said that Narinder betrayed the Bishops and even brought a follower to turn against you just to give you a taste of how Narinder will betray you will feel like. Even the beggining text of the game warns you about a crown being unable to fit on two heads.
I wish mega satan in the binding of isaac had a big theme like this, instead of just reusing hericide otherwise. love this song so much, best in the soundtrack
Narinder:YOU WILL GIVE ME WHAT IS MINE BY RIGHT LAMB! lamb:...no. im done being a pawn. In only a few weeks,i made the woods run red in blood, and now bear a place for all. The one who waits will wait no longer. Because you will fall. You want My crown? Come and take it. Lets see whos truely worthy. I am the new god of death, and no crown can sit upon 2 brows. Narinder:you dare!? I WILL FLAY YOUR SOUL FROM YOUR CORPSE! Lamb:you will try. And you, will. *FALL.*
Honestly I feel like Lamb would give the crown back easily if the requirement wasn't death and he was simply promised rewards for his service. Keeping his cult in the name of the one who waits and keeping some power even if Narinder would hold most of the power. Then Narinder could kill lamb or stick to his promises. He was just too overconfident to see just how powerful Lamb had become.
I really love how back and forth the story goes. You are supposedly doing holy work by killing these bishops, and have been sent by the one who waits. At the beginning, we (lamb and one who waits)are assumed to be the good guys, however once you get to silk cradle, shamura starts telling you what happens, and it sort of turns into bad vs bad. Then once you fight narinder, you have eliminated one bad, you find him left and makes you the deity now.
I feel like Lamb is killing the Bishops for his own agenda as vengeance for being sacrificed and for his people that was slaughtered, or doing the work of the one who waits depending on what the players motivation is. Then Lamb naturally rebels against the one who waits since he is no different than the other Bishops who want to use Lamb and kill him.
Slapped harder than uuh... *finds something original* SCREW it, your music slaps hard, thank you for changing my favorite song from mainly Fnf to this, I'm FREE!
Is it just me or is the main leitmotiv the one in Faith Up? I didn't go through the OST again to see if that tune is present in other tracks, but as someone who loves narratives told through music, that's so cool! I haven't played the game yet, so I don't know the details of the story, but if Faith Up plays at the Lamb's base hosting their followers, and the track "TOWW" plays when we fight him, this could imply that this soothing chant repeated in the safe haven is way more than that: it's a fighting incantation that was merely being taught to unsuspecting believers as an innocent choir song until its power needs to be unleashed (a bit like the magic spells taught to Sheeta in Castle in the Sky). But TOWW also sings this chant as a counter, so it could also mean that just like Lamb's powers, it was given to them by TOWW. Using his own spells against him, a bit daring, possibly dangerous if TOWW knows how to turn it against Lamb. Just thinking stuff up, as I said I barely know anything, but it definitely makes me want to play the game once I have the time and a better computer.
This has to be the chillest final boss theme I’ve ever heard and we’re talking about fighting literal god of death here. Haven’t brought the game yet but this may be just the push I need to seal the deal
"Return the crown to it's rightful bearer, all that remains is for you to lay down your life so I may return to my former glory above life itself" Yes -----> No "You insolent, insegnificant worm... I gave you a second chance at life and you will soon find out that all can be taken away as easily!"
Even though Narinder was betrayed by the lamb, Im sure that there is some peace he can get from finally being free. Well, depends on the player ofcourse…

I like how Narinder had his final straw with us and then dropped this banger while my anxiety took over because I had only 3 hearts left. I kept this song on my Spotify playlist and it’s still there along with the exploration themes too.
By the time I got to his last form I was on half a heart 😅
@msdanteng FR I WAS PANICKING
The One Who Waits: IM UNSTOPPABLE! IMMORTAL! I. AM. DEATH!!!!
Random Lamb: are you sure about that?
This kind of reminds of the final boss from Donkey Kong Country Returns and that OST freaking ate...
I love it.
It was weak before the update, after the update the fight became amazing
@@ArceTheTroll lmao i cannot replay it
Or i can now? Need to reinstall it
None of what you just said has anything to do with the difficulty of the fight
@@Fo0516 yes but it would be a cool detail If the dificultou was due to his years stuck, and not just "easy because easy"
@@Fo0516 It does if you were paying any attention lol. They're saying the underwhelming difficulty is okay.
this music (whole ost) makes my brain go brrrr in the best way. it's quickly become a favourite and will be in my playlists for months. very very very fun and vibe-y!! amazing fucking job!!
also, i need to hear any future projects you make!!!
This is a perfect interpretation, I had not even thought if it that way
Wait that's actually a really great analysis???

For real, the last banger full game soundtrack I heard like that was Persona 5

Lamb, cocking blunderbuss with murderous intent: “THIS IS NOT A DEMOCRACY! I HAVE A GUN, *THAT MEANS IM IN-CHARGE!* “
suchh a good song for such a good ost. i somehow don't get tired of the constant usage of the choir voices and that amazes me
That music started playing when i said "no' to My mother haha
"BE GONE, LAMB! I SHALL REGAIN MY POWER AND THE CROWN OF THE WORLD ITSELF! YOUR SUBJECTS ARE NO LONGER THE CULT OF THE LAMB!"
Narinder: well done my most devout follower, you've done a great job freeing me, now i just need you to give back that crown

just finished this game and it was a fucking rollercoaster! The bosses and the enemies were so hard and that’s what made this game so good! Thanks Devolver for such a badass game!
"Did you really think yourself above a god?"
*Says the man who hired us to kill four already*
The chanting-singing stuff in all this music has been great, *but this demonic chanting is insane.*
Gotta admit this song is such a banger
Holy shit the final theme goes fucking raw-
"The crown cannot sit upon two brows"
Doesn't say which one its required to sit on.
Perfect track for battling an eldritch chthonic monstrosity of a death god in the bowels of Hell!
this makes me feel a certain way about the fight now, the god who gives you a chance to then betray you, but their are still mixed feeling toward him in a way, it kinda feels like when you find out your father is the bad guy and you personally are the only one to take him down, but he is still your father..you're doing the right thing but but you still emotionally attached towards him.
singing together as you both must leave alone. and be only one victor
Ironically is what Shamura directly warns you about. He said that Narinder betrayed the Bishops and even brought a follower to turn against you just to give you a taste of how Narinder will betray you will feel like. Even the beggining text of the game warns you about a crown being unable to fit on two heads.
Sparing him, make him join your cult, MARRY HIM
I wish mega satan in the binding of isaac had a big theme like this, instead of just reusing hericide
otherwise. love this song so much, best in the soundtrack
I know this comment is old, but modding isaac to have cult of the lamb soundtrack sounds fire
*FALL.*
Narinder: "Cool i can have my crown back"
Lamb: "Damn thats crazy, anyways imma fold you"
Honestly I feel like Lamb would give the crown back easily if the requirement wasn't death and he was simply promised rewards for his service.
This song is so fire it should be considered arson 🔥

What?
I hope someday we get a way to refrigerate this guy. It’s the one boss fight you can’t replay as of now and that’s sad because it’s so fun
The one who waits be like : how are you so stong lamb?!
My brother in old faith you literally gave him your crown
Bro this track goes dummy hard
Me when I wait
When I'm in a waiting competition and my Opponent is narinder
This has to be the chillest final boss theme I’ve ever heard and we’re talking about fighting literal god of death here. Haven’t brought the game yet but this may be just the push I need to seal the deal
"Return the crown to it's rightful bearer, all that remains is for you to lay down your life so I may return to my former glory above life itself"
Yes -----> No
"You insolent, insegnificant worm... I gave you a second chance at life and you will soon find out that all can be taken away as easily!"
this song sounds to me like a sort of mix between baal's and aym's themes. the melody part from baal's, and the vocals from ayms.
THIS ACTUALLY SLAPS

and for my next phase... I am a flower.
Even though Narinder was betrayed by the lamb, Im sure that there is some peace he can get from finally being free. Well, depends on the player ofcourse…

narinder: bruh.
Holy hell this is good
Now we are here, my little Vessel,
my chains are no longer,
for I am free.
Narinder, the one who waits
No longer do I wait for my chains are shattered,
The crown you wear is rightfully mine,
So give it to me and I will make short process with you,
Little lamb, your destiny was laid in your cradle,
Eons before you were born, your fate was woven
Thousands of years, you have no idea, my siblings betrayed me
Called my idiology wrong, but it was Shamura who opened my eyes
The old faith can no longer dwell in this world.
Can't you see it, lamb? The crown, it yells for me, asks for my head.
Narinder, the one who waits,
No longer do I wait for my chains are shattered,
The crown you wear is rightfully mine,
So give it to me and I will make short process with you,
Lamb, submit or know what it means to incur the wrath of the god of death
There can only be one who wears the black crown, Lamb
Lamb is like: "finish, i killed him, now, lets play GOW, KILL MORE GODS!"
Banger
When Narinder was imprisoned, The 4 siblings set to kill or convert every one of his followers. Although one follower proved to be very problematic.
I am not one to laugh in the face of death… however, I will stare at him in defiance…
sounds like Narinder spitting bars
Imagine being killed by a small lamb with no combat knowledge
Used to have no combat knowledge, depending on the game you play a bunch of days pass, in my case that I took it slow and enjoyed each part it took 100 in game days.
I really think they would’ve been better off naming this track “false prophet”. It would fit cause
1: Narinder calls the lamb a “false prophet”
2:due to us fighting him, and ya know…taking over his role, he’d become the false prophet, the entire song is set up for our fight against him, so this makes more sense to me
He calls Lamb "False Idol" not prophet. As in the one who claims the spot of Godhood not the messenger
@@cloudshifterProbably should be called False Idol then
This honestly fits as a theme for The Lamb in general
rename him to "the one who serves" after you recruit him
I stayed with the one who waites because he's still waiting, for the mercy of the lamb >:)
i just named him narinder bro 😭
My soul left mybody
I love this so much
only thing i wish is that it was longer
En ingles: The One Who Waits
But en español: Aquel Que Espera
Español thegrefg: El Chabal De Las Esperanzas

Maybe if Narinder asked just for crown and spared Lamb's life things might went differently
See no, Speak no, Hear no, Think no..., EVIL!
You forgot the final one, Do no...
I feel that the names of the themes should be reversed, this theme feels more like "narinder", and phase one feels more like "the one who waits"
No it's exactly how it should be. First you face Narinder, then you face his actual title, the one who waits, the God death.
