One of my all time favorite gaming experiences. I had no idea what this game was going to be when I bought it...and dang, it blew me away! SO many sleepless nights were sunk into this gem of a game!
Same here. When I was a kid I bought this game thinking it would be like traditional final fantasy games, and I beat the entire game without walking around (like I thought I'd be able to) lol. Great game though I've beaten it a few times, one of my favorites.
+twitchster77 One of my fav GBA games. I thought it had more depth and customization than FFT. People rag on the story but I thought it was kinda charming and endearing. Check out FFTA2 if you haven't. It's even bigger and better than this one
+Yung Lizz yes I also did kind of short unlike the original on PlayStation but it is very fun, I actually have the GBA emulator in my phone haven't played much though
This is one of my favorite games of all time. This one, FF Tactics A2 and the one for PS1 are all excellent games. These games were what got me to like the Final Fantasy series.
Lol @ the video description? "Final Fantasy Tactics Advance review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow video game review of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, a pinball game developed by HAL Laboratory and published in 1994 by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance" Lol wut?
Hi CGRundertow! Sounds like u didn't like FFTactics Advance that much. But there are two games I've played that I think you might enjoy more. Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimore of the rift is a lot like this game, but there's different main characters in it, including the storyline and it's on the DS. Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions is another game with lots of different things in it, and I really like this one. Just helping u guys out if that's ok :)
This was the first FF Tatics game for me. I loved pretty much everything except the judges. The story is a bit kiddy and corny, but you could think of it in a dark way, as if this book changed the entire world and as if they weren't just kids. I still like the original tactics (the PS1 version) more. If it weren't for the judge system, this game would be great.
I owned Tactics Advance since May 2009 (which was given to me from a Family Friend) and I found it today when I was cleaning and I totally forgotten all about it Until I found it Earlier Today
this is my favorite FF i still play it some times, and i will not stop until i unlock all the special characters, and the story and characters were great .
final fantasy tactics advanced was the 1st game i played in the FFT series. but then i seen FFT1 on the PS store so i bought it and downloaded it onto my ps3. i think FFT 1 is the best of the FFT series. advanced is 2nd.
probably not they have only been getting games from nintendo consoles on the VC and chances are we won't be getting the other systems big hitters on a Nintendo platform any time soon.
Hey guys, check your video description. Looks like you copied and pasted some of the info from your Kirby's Pinball review... "Final Fantasy Tactics Advance review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow video game review of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, a pinball game developed by HAL Laboratory and published in 1994 by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance." otherwise, great review as always!
Download "my boy" and look up on Google "final fantasy tactics advance rom" download one, launch my boy and open the rom to play the game :) btw my boy is a gameboy emulator. Hope it helped :D
The only thing I really don't like about this game is the design of the Moogles it's in game sprite is clearly that but it's design for the speech box is vastly different
Ok...Clicked video...said Final Fantasy Tactics for GBA First though "Please not be the girl" "Please not be the girl" Then OMG Derek. 2nd thought "Please like the game" "please like the game" And......he liked it well enough =P
Definitely (: It'll be kind of a hard time pulling through some of the details (knowing which race/job can equip what weapon, knowing how to promote classes etc) since the tutorial is very very basic but once you get the hang of it you aren't gonna put this down.
same i tried it out first thing to say the 3d environment can be hard to control and the gameplay is a lot slower then FE like when you choose attack you target the enemy press A and press A again its a little bit annoying
When I got this I'm like viera job classes are my fav. Too bad marche can only access the Hume class ..... Then I was happy that Ritz existed and that she has access to viera class only to be punched in the face for her being only playable on the post game xdd
@Chaoitcme Thats so true, i could even finish the first chapter of FFT Advance because of the history, the first so much better that im replaying the port in the PSP.
I got an coupon for it, the official guide, and a link cable in a nintendo power magazine. I think it was a mid summer issue but I took it to my mother and said that I knew what I wanted for Christmas. I noticed when a package arrived for my mother from Nintendo and knew what was up. Now snow is rare where I live, so imagen my shock when the present I was most expecting gave me an unsuspected surprise, my only Christmas snowball fight.
When I saw this game was coming out, I was psyched. Final Fantasy Tactics on the gameboy advance? That's awesome. But I was pretty disappointed. Its a good game in its own right, just doesn't hold up to FFT.
PSP version is the best! Simply a master piece! I know that the GBA version is "different" on it's own but the PSP version is just beautiful! Doesn't even compare!
***** Have you even played FFTWotL on PSP?? No competition. It's like they're two different games. FFTA has it's charm, I'm sure but it pales in comparison. It's almost unfair to put it against such a masterpiece like FFTWotL. Not even the music can match. FFTWotL's music is ridiculously epic! BUT, to each their own! You're going to like it more for your own reasons but whatever works for you. For me, FFTWotL is better.
Hey KenKraken the GBA version is slower than PSP and the GBA graphics are lower bit than PSP so you are incorrect. Tactics for the GBA was made for little kids so the gameplay is very dumbed down. The PSP version is better in all ways. It's not even a matter of opinion it's fact that the PSP hardware is much more superior than a dinky little GBA. Get your facts straight kid.
KenKraken has obviously never played the PSP version because his arguments are very inaccurate. Like for example "The gameplay is slow paced" no that's very incorrect the GBA version is ridiculously slow because of its hardware and also he says "the graphics suck" which is impossible because the PSP has more pixels in their sprites than the GBA version has in it's game.
One of my all time favorite gaming experiences.

lol I feel you brother IMO the best game on gba
This is one of my favorite games of all time. This one, FF Tactics A2 and the one for PS1 are all excellent games. These games were what got me to like the Final Fantasy series.
"a pinball game developed by HAL Laboratory and published in 1994 by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance."
What the fuck?
I love how they still haven't changed it
Half of the video was a history lesson and the other half a listing of features lol. Did I mention the video is only 4 minutes long?
2023-almost 2024, still going strong! 🎉😮😊
sadest moment of my life when i accidntly delete my save file on this game after finishing it
Lol @ the video description? "Final Fantasy Tactics Advance review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow video game review of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, a pinball game developed by HAL Laboratory and published in 1994 by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance"
Lol wut?
Haha lol ^^ Still hasn't been changed ^^
such a great game. still have my original copy and save file

What part in this video features the thumbnail? I don't recall that part in the game and I don't see it in the video...
Can you now do advaced tactics 2? Got the game. Instantly hooked straightaway.
This is the first game I have ever played for 100 hours total ^_^ Well enjoyed
i did manage to play this game all the way through, but the laws became increasingly ridiculous and started to really piss me off near the end
This was the first FF Tatics game for me. I loved pretty much everything except the judges. The judge system is ridiculously easy to work around, even without law cards.
1 question how or when multiplayer is unlocked? coz i beat 3 totems did some side quest and steal no multi :(
This is my favorite game of all time!
@Chaoitcme At least the GBA one doesn't go from "walk in the park" to "back alley beatdown" in the first 1 or 2 hours
If it wasn't for the judge busting you for using even the basic attack, then I might've enjoyed this game more than I did.
scottishboy112 That’s why you gotta check the laws before going in.
I owned Tactics Advance since May 2009 (which was given to me from a Family Friend) and I found it today when I was cleaning and I totally forgotten all about it Until I found it Earlier Today
I played the shit out of this game, and really enjoyed it. I love the pixel style and combat.
this game had soooo many SOOOOO MANY side quests i could never finish it. i wanted to finish all the sidequests and i eventually stopped playin it XD
This and A2 (that was my favorite game on the DS) are the best FF for me too
My all time favourite game!
i fricking loved this game growing up. playing some FE:A now, so hopefully it'll live up to this :)
FF Tactics is the only strategy game I can bear playing, and that's saying a lot. It was actually fun, too.
lol! I never played this game before but how to play?
this is my favorite FF i still play it some times, and i will not stop until i unlock all the special characters, and the story and characters were great .
i own this game, love it,would never disown it,but could someone give me a laymen's list of what jobs you need to upgrade to other jobs please?!
@vcooly7u hahahaha apparently so and they still haven't fixed the description lol
i have been playing this game since i was 7 and i still play it.
final fantasy tactics advanced was the 1st game i played in the FFT series. but then i seen FFT1 on the PS store so i bought it and downloaded it onto my ps3. i think FFT 1 is the best of the FFT series. advanced is 2nd.
i love this game but since i played fire emblem first the gameplay felt a lot slower
man i sure wish they would bring this to the 3ds download store!
It's here!
And ironically it just appeared on the VC, hm...FFVII remake on NX confirmed?
probably not they have only been getting games from nintendo consoles on the VC and chances are we won't be getting the other systems big hitters on a Nintendo platform any time soon.
wow, u think they would of noticed that typo already but they still haven't. and that's why CGRundertow is more like CGRunderated.
Hey guys, check your video description. Looks like you copied and pasted some of the info from your Kirby's Pinball review...
"Final Fantasy Tactics Advance review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow video game review of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, a pinball game developed by HAL Laboratory and published in 1994 by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance."
otherwise, great review as always!
final fantasy tactics for psx... the most AMAZING final fantasy. period
I remember my cousin gave me this game only to take it back when I was 3 missions away from 100%ing it :(
There should be an app for this game.
Download "my boy" and look up on Google "final fantasy tactics advance rom" download one, launch my boy and open the rom to play the game :) btw my boy is a gameboy emulator. Hope it helped :D
Screw the guy who bash Square enix from nintendo. I wonder if that guy got fired from his job or is he still in the nintendo office?
I used to play this as a kid and just found out the name :)
The only thing I really don't like about this game is the design of the Moogles it's in game sprite is clearly that but it's design for the speech box is vastly different
I didn't like FFT at all, but I loved the Advanced series.
Ok...Clicked video...said Final Fantasy Tactics for GBA
First though "Please not be the girl" "Please not be the girl"
Then OMG Derek.
2nd thought "Please like the game" "please like the game"
And......he liked it well enough =P
I love fire emblem. Should I pick this game?
Definitely (: It'll be kind of a hard time pulling through some of the details (knowing which race/job can equip what weapon, knowing how to promote classes etc) since the tutorial is very very basic but once you get the hang of it you aren't gonna put this down.

@Chaoitcme only thing i loved about the 2nd one was the cut scenes where they talk about some stuff like here on the video about the computer.
then again,i'm one of those friendless gamer girls that tryed to beat pokemon, fail, but i never give up on a game if i love it!
When I got this I'm like viera job classes are my fav. Too bad marche can only access the Hume class ..... Then I was happy that Ritz existed and that she has access to viera class only to be punched in the face for her being only playable on the post game xdd
i loved this game!!!! the starting story is still my favorite starting out sequence
Is it me, or did this game break the 4th Wall?
@Chaoitcme Thats so true, i could even finish the first chapter of FFT Advance because of the history, the first so much better that im replaying the port in the PSP.

Not as great as the original PS game but this game is amazing.
looks cool!
First and only Final Fantasy game I've played. That second part needs fixing.
this one is better than the psx/psp one imo
I absolutely loved this game one of the best games ever!!!!
The original FF Tactics was so much better. I loved the dark story of the first one. The GBA game is too childish.
@TheCuster58 but he doesn't seem too bad....derek, and this guy....uh....who reviewed this?
i love this game so much
ty very much
Omg the nostalgia.... Reminds me of luminous arc 1, 2, 3 hehe
there's a lot of French words (names) in this game !
@heardofrvb That is true. The Playstation FF Tactics is really hard.
One of the most underrated tracks
@WildWaddledee will never be the top comment thanks to... uh... BOOBIES IN MILKYBAR WORLD!
Awesome game
best ff!
Best game
Horrible, awful review
Fire emblem
.//Hack G.u. ... the firs 3 disk RPG game I have played for the PS2
such long intros....half your reviews are useless
@bulby1994 I am a failure :(
PSP version is the best! Simply a master piece! I know that the GBA version is "different" on it's own but the PSP version is just beautiful! Doesn't even compare!

Dante Cece is it any good?
kingboostudios Its just as bad as the game im making fun of, possibly better.
This game looks like a joke compared to the original on PSX. =/
matter of opinion I love tactics advanced but found the original tactics dull and lifeless, never got far in it though it was to boring
