Just got mine today and after I got it bolted on I started putting the charge tubes back on and noticed a bunch of aluminum dust and small pieces had came out of it, I hope none went down my charge tubes
Hmmm that’s a very good question I’m gonna say that you may have to tune it to gain the extra HP with this but I’m sure Jason over at rpm can definitely lead you in a better direction on that than I can . Just wanna make sure you get the correct info
I’m sure it could be modified just a little to allow the cover to go back on , I just think the intended use was to give maximum air flow thus not using the factory cover but it just snaps on so I’m sure it could be used somehow ,hope that helps thanks buddy !
We leave the cover off for maximum air flow. If you're running a windshield or rear window you'll definitely want to keep it off as they eliminate the air flow over the stock intercooler valance or "scoop"
Hey buddy honestly I haven’t got to try it out fully , it’s been pretty cold weather here since I put it on but I could imagine it’s gonna help a bunch in the summer /fall time because it’s definitely thicker over the stock .
Hey Isaac good question! At the moment I am not tuned so I haven’t actually tested it for my self ,this install was to prepare me for when the tunes do come out for the post nov 2020 models. As I’m seeing form the info I have read up to 40 degree cooler IAT’S ! Over the stock intercooler hope this helps thanks !

Any disadvantage of not placing the cover of the intercooler?
From my experience nope but I’m sure in the right Situation I guess you could damage but I don’t think there’s any issue
Did ya notice a power drop after installing the windshield with the OEM intercooler? I feel like I lost 20 hp!
Not really bud but honestly I didn’t drive it a long time that way it may have been like a month or so.

@@el24najera iat temps are never exact. There are to many variables like ambient temperatures, how long the pull is etc etc.
