In South Africa. We got Capasso to collect our mechanical royalties on behalf of publishing companies and artists. All the other African countries use Capasso because they don't have their own mechanical right organization.
I produce music in Spanish as well as English. Would you recommend using songtrust because it collects the publishers share of my mechanical and performance royalties internationally? If I sign up with these other 3 mentioned here will there be any conflict? Also does my PRO collect the writer share for my performance and mechanical royalties?

Get on the first is get WhatsApp so people from other countries can reach you also. And do a video on the whole process of becoming an artist from scratch. Like the lllc registering with all these companies needed and then how to publish a song and where to send the song info when you have a song or album ready. If is too much for one video do it in two parts.
@@disciple_deshun a publishing admin company will register your music with a PRO and coordinate with all these companies, they do all the work of collecting from various sources, and pay you from all of them so you get your royalties from one place. BUT they take a commission, at least 15%.

Songtrust is an administrator and they will go into your accounts take 15% and collect on your behalf. Which isn't a bad thing if you don't want to do the work. I only recommend Songtrust when you literally don't have the time anymore to do all the registration or you simply don't want to be bothered.

Since MLC does not take a % of royalties from artists-would I be better off signing my catalogue of songs up with MLC? MLC did say that HFA handles other royalties (which I understand). Do you know if there is a way to have your catalogue registered w/ both MLC & HFA yet have MLC deal directly with me for the royalties from the DSP's that they are connected wtih so I get the full royalty? MLC on the phone said they prefer that the artist registers their catalogue w/ one or the other (MLC or HFA) so there is not confusion. thanks!!!

Let sound exchange do it. Contact MCPS and PPL in the UK and let them take care of any royalties that sound exchange doesn't and vise versa. BMI has an international office and will take care of your worldwide performing rights royalties.

ISRC is a code for the recording, MCPS is the mechanical rights society for the UK.

You cannot be a writer at BMI and sign up as a writer at ASCAP. You can only have multiple publisher accounts.

The MLC is only for America. There others are PPL and MCPS over int the UK that will pick up the ball for ya.

Producer hereby grants Artist a license to reproduce Controlled Compositions that are embodied on the Master produced hereunder in synchronization with and in time relation to visual images featuring Artist's performances in so-called promotional "video programs", on a royalty-free basis and in so-called commercial "video programs", in being understood that Producer shall be entitled to Producer's pro-rata share of any royalties attributable to such commercial "video programs". Upon Artist's request Producer shall execute or cause Producer's publishing designee to execute and deliver to Artist, as applicable, all documents required by Artist, as applicable, to effectuate the purpose of this paragraph.
How can I collect my overseas royalties without a publishing admin. They want to take 20% of my BMI/MLC/Soundexchange royalties too !!! No NO NO !!!!
Let sound exchange do it. Contact MCPS and PPL in the UK and let them take care of any royalties that sound exchange doesn't and vise versa. BMI has an international office and will take care of your worldwide performing rights royalties.
