Nokia 7.1 should be there in the list. It's the only modern Nokia which has an excellent flat display, ergonomically very good to hold because of flat sides and not as wide as Nokia 8.1 or 7 plus which were relatively broader for most people to hold comfortably. Btw, Nokia 8 Sirocco was best in looks and Nokia 8 best overall, looks and performance
I agree with your Line These are the phones I used the past years. 2x Nokia 8 2x Nokia 8 sirocco 1x Nokia 9 pureview Currently using the x10 second hand prices are really good in the Netherlands cuz it's not that trendy to have Nokia here. Got the x10 for just a €100,- Like brand new. But I love the clean OS. Love your content, great voice to listen to. Have a great day.
Well your list matches exactly with my list, very good selection, I had 8 Sirocco, now using 7.1 plus, my sister using 7 plus, and father is using 5.3. I can say all of them are performing superb specially the nokia 7 plus, my god even after 4 years the camera 📷 is excellent, performance is at par with new devices.
I am using the 8 Sirocco as my primary phone, bought it 2019. Still easily stands out among a crowd of other smartphones. I changed the wallpaper to solid black and switched the phone to dark theme. Trust me, it looks way more premium than many costlier phones and is a stunner among all the similar looking bland phones.
As someone who's running the XR20 after 3 years of 9PV, I agree. The 9PV is unique, it's magical from a design perspective and brilliant from a camera standpoint. However, it's just a bit too much of a hassle to run. Having to do work arounds and trying different techniques to get the camera working properly is not enjoyable in the long run. I guess it's kind of like owning a classic car: brilliant sometimes, but you wouldn't want to use it all the time. On the opposite side, the XR20 is a tank. A lovely designed tank that shows its strength every day. No need to wonder if it'll work. It will. Great video once again!
I have one question for a long time, why is current flagship phones even after so many advancements in technology couldn't compete with 10 years old lumia 808 in regards to producing “realistic” looking images? Is it bcoz of quadbayer sensors or they're doing it intentionally or simply they don't have good algorithm?
It's because most flagship phones use too much image processing to make their output 'pretty' instead of going for the clean, pure, natural picture since these days people value aesthetics and crowd-pleasing fantasies over the reality of the situation. I mean they could produce way better images if they want to but since images they'd produce would be described as 'soft', 'lacking in highlights', 'not turning dark into light' by 'tech reviewers' who at most part aren't really that good with photography in the first place, most companies would rather invest on what's trending in the market rather than what really matters.
Another great video. But I would for sure include the Nokia 9 Pureview in the main list. Beautiful design that pushed the boundaries is why I fell for Nokia in the past. And the Nokia 9 embodies this sentiment. Plus, all the cameras sit flush with the phone body which I really appreciate. Yes, it most definitely is a flawed device, but HMD/Nokia were on to something game-changing. And the best part is, no cut-outs or holes in the screen :)
I had the nokia 7 plus for 2 years . It was a superb phone . Built quality and design was excellent . It felt premium in the hand . Nokia 6 accompanied me for almost 5 years before the navigation buttons finally stopped working. It died as a true Nokia for me since it endured a lot of falls from every angle imaginable during its 5-year service. I wanted to continue using a Nokia device, but Nokia simply refuses till this date to release its X line or anything better than G20 (very hard to buy atm) in my country. Instead, they released C21 Plus and C31. What a shame.

I mostly agree with that list... And the Nokia XR-20 being number one. Though I'd have put the Nokia 8.3 5G in second place. A wholly underrated and overlooked device. Which is too bad. It is excellent and using it for more than a year has been a solid and quite pleasant experience. Also, it's been holding quite well in the specs department. Very few similar mid-range devices offer any real overall upgrades worthy of mention. In third place, I would have definitely put the Nokia 7.1. That was probably one of the best devices I've had. Just perfectly designed, size wise, software, specs, UI as well as functionality. It is also, for me at least (I know that is very superficial), one of the most beautiful devices I've, especially the steel version with copper accents. Yes, it had a notch, but a small one when compared with it's cousin the Nokia 8.1 and even smaller than the obnoxious one on the iPhone. I do look forward to the rumoured XR-21 5G. If anything would get me to upgrade, it might be that Nokia device.
How about the Nokia 8, seems it didn't mention here among the fans. I wish I could have one so i can try and experience its adv. heat dispersion, fast cooling capability. Like your content, Thanks,
2:11 i used nokia 8 sirocco it was good BUT screen had problems firstly one dead pixel and second weird white mark on top of screen wich flicker green when you boot in to phone and also when you turn of screen and put in to always on display and second problem was i use that for 3 months and last month of using it the power button stopped working third problem was i have sony xb22 speaker and it connected fine to my phone but when i played music its disconnect from my phone and all other bluetooth devices worked good and i feared that the sony speaker broke so i went to bought more speakers until i tested on my current phone the OnePlus 6 and it worked good so i will never ever buy nokia phones and i hate stock android and nokia camera app
From top 5 phone only 8.3 and xr20 was launched in us.8.3 lack lot of things to be in top 5 since HMD didn't launched much good phones it's understandable to be in the list.
The 8.3 has a lot of unique aspects that make it deserve to be on the list :) You won't find a phone that costs anywhere near it with the same attention to design and build for example.
@@AbdullaZaki I agree with you it do have good camera and other stuff but in the beginning it was launched here for 699$ which was not worth for that price missing water resistant, wireless charging etc. But later they dropped the price so it was worth.
I'm not a techie or a gamer. I bought an iPhone about a year ago. I hated it from day one. I recently replaced it with a cheap Nokia G50. The Nokia does everything I need it to do and I'm very satisfied with it.
That's exactly what makes these Nokia phones so good in my opinion. Reliable workhorses with more than enough power for daily needs for fairly affordable prices Why did you hate the iPhone if you don't mind me asking?
@@AbdullaZaki The first thing I learned was that the iPhone needed charged every day. My cheap Xiaomi lasted 3 or 4 days before charging. Apple has its own way of doing things and it's not intuitive. I believe that the Apple lemmings had iPhones for their first phones and never had anything else. I want to manage my own phone and not leave it up to Apple. For example, I didn't like the Nokia launcher so I changed to Nova. It works great. My wife's iPhone is nearly always connected to the charger. She IS a heavy user.
The only disappointing thing about Nokia India is, I dropped accidentally my Nokia 8 Sirocco, screen got damaged, now the replacement costs almost 80% of what I paid for the original one. I bought for ₹49,999, now I have to pay ₹33,600 for the replacement. I love my phone I want to own it back again, but I am helpless. No 8.3 in India, no 2760 flip in India, I don't know which new phone I should go for, I can't buy Xr20 at this point of time. Currently using 7.1 plus.
Sorry to hear that man, I can understand your pain. Unfortunately the 8 Sirocco's display is super expensive, and its also because they barely have any spare parts for it. Lets see, maybe this year they will bring the new X lineup to India.
I currently own a Nokia 7 Plus, and I love it. Unfortunately, the screen is tattered, the battery is beginning to swell, and there are no recent phones by Nokia that I can upgrade to in this class or even higher (I am not paying that much for the 8.3), so, my next step will have to be a Pixel, because I love stock Android, or even a good Motorola, which, of course, skimps on software updates unfortunately.
Some modern designs of Nokia is good but I personally missing Old Nokia designs (including feature phone, almost smartphones and Lumia Phones). I have Nokia Lumia 520, Nokia Lumia 730, Nokia Lumia 830, Nokia 5.1 Plus and Nokia 6.1 Plus. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Nokia designs is very unique, solid and premium.
I have used nokia 6 nokia 8.1 it was superb then still i own was waiting for 8.3 5g but it was not launched in India so switched to Motorola now still Nokia Fan
I bought Nokia 3 about 6 months after release and since that didn't have a chance to upgrade And since there wasn't any other option for 150$ with latest Android version and 2 major updates I count myself EXTREMELY LUCKY🤞🤞🤞
I have a Nokia 7 Plus. Ya, I'm not a "game guy" on phones, so I really don't know how it performes in gaming. I like the phone very much from a design point of view. I wish it was more "snappy". What I never liked is the very low sound volume when you use it normally as a phone, holding it to your ear. As something new, the screen is "freezing" from time to time. Sometimes, several times a dag, other times, not so many. Nokia doesn't want to have an official position on this matter. I'm using my phone, primarily as a phone, taking pictures, browsing the internet, streaming music while driving, and as a GPS with "Hear Wi Go", which is actually a Nokia GPS software. If I have"some quiet days", the battery can hold for 3 days on a full charge. I have never experienced the battery not holding at least one day. I love the design, and if those annoying minuses weren't there, it will be the perfect phone for me at this time. And if those flows were gone and 5G came instead, even better 😁
Good list! I highlight the Nokia XR20 HMD could invest heavily and launch a replacement with a better camera and more powerful specifications, the Nokia 8.3 if it had a smaller 6.5' screen it would be more attractive, I confess that a 6.81' screen is uncomfortable, and I I have big hands, I currently have 3 models: nokia XR20, nokia 8.3, Nokia X20, but the Nokia XR20 is my favorite for its resistance.
Thanks! I think the XR20 was a big surprise for me. You know when you don't think you need something, then someone makes it, and you end up loving it? Thats my experience with it haha. Lets see if the XR21 brings nice improvements...
@@AbdullaZaki HMD only needs to manufacture basic and premium intermediate smartphones with a good construction, good screen and a good camera, and invest in smartphones like the XR20, I like my XR20 because I don't need to use a protective cover, at least the device gives you more security because of its resistance, I hope that HMD will improve this model even more, I think it will gain more visibility.
Nokia 7 Plus is definitely one of the best devices of the HMD era of Nokia. It looked great. The bronze finish is elegant and timeless. Great performance too for the price. Shame that the new devices are just so bland and dated-looking
"And I love that it knows exactly what it wants to be" And there you go, that is literally all HMD has to do. Make phones that know what they are and want to be instead of being all over the place, that's all they need for success. I see what you did there adding in the 6.1 plus >.> TO be honest if the Sirocco hadn't removed the 3.5 port I would be right there with you even though I am no fan of the curved glass gimmick that Samsung threw at us.
I agree Adulla the xr20 is a cracking phone, loved the 8.3 as well and am actually enjoying the g50 5g as my work phone at the moment, excellent for the price. Great video by the way 👌😎
The 845 is way better since it has very good software support in comparison with the 835 - It has very good linux mainline support and also is one of the best supported SoCs in general.
It didn't matter at all in the end because the 8 sirocco got updated twice and still runs the vast majority of apps you might use today. The points you mentioned are good but not why the 835 was criticised back in the day
Nokia best in its own way...but if you choose to compare to other yes nokia will not stand a chance to stand out... but one things that only nokia can... that is nostalgic value... they already have the fame...
As a diehard Nokia fan I just can’t get into the hmd Nokia phones. I tried to love the 9 pureview but it was buggy and the camera was so unreliable I ended up just hating it. Aside from the 6.1, every phone hmd has released feels boring and uninspired. It’s sad because I really wanted to love them but they just don’t give me the same excitement the old lumias ever did.
Love my 6.1 Plus, been using it ever since it's launch back in 2018. Apart from the charging connector I had no issue, been looking at Nokia 5.4, G20 & even recent G21 but I still don't think they're worth it to replace my 6.1 Plus...I think I'm just gonna either wait for Nokia 5.5 or find an old stock 7.2 if I were to upgrade it..
The Nokia X10 makes a great first impression but is let down by choppy performance and a general lack of mid-range frills Pros Budget price Good battery life Decent suite of cameras Cons Laggy performance Uninspired software Bulky build
Nokia G20 is one of the worse Nokia phone in history, with a chipset of MediaTek and it keeps hanging. To make a simple call, it takes me 2 minutes before I can dail a number. I regret buying this phone.
I wasn't a fan either. Now there are a couple of things you can do to make it better. Keep at least 25% of the memory empty, don't use an SD card if you are, and reduce animation speed from developer options. It won't completely fix it but it will help a bit
Nokia missed the point after the 7 Plus. If it continued with that philosophy and improved it would have been better now. Not making forgettable mid rangers.
What do you think of my list? Any devices you'd add or remove from it and why? :)
Nokia 7.1 should be there in the list.
Reliable workhorses with more than enough power for daily needs for fairly affordable prices
Why did you hate the iPhone if you don't mind me asking?
@@AbdullaZaki Hoping for the best 👍
I currently own a Nokia 7 Plus, and I love it. Unfortunately, the screen is tattered, the battery is beginning to swell, and there are no recent phones by Nokia that I can upgrade to in this class or even higher (I am not paying that much for the 8.3), so, my next step will have to be a Pixel, because I love stock Android, or even a good Motorola, which, of course, skimps on software updates unfortunately.
is nokia g21 good in your opinion?
cuz i want to buy it
My favourite was Nokia 5.1 plus and upgrading now to Nokia X10
Some modern designs of Nokia is good but I personally missing Old Nokia designs (including feature phone, almost smartphones and Lumia Phones). I have Nokia Lumia 520, Nokia Lumia 730, Nokia Lumia 830, Nokia 5.1 Plus and Nokia 6.1 Plus. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Nokia designs is very unique, solid and premium.
I have 7.1 for 3 years and i love it. I wanna something like that from Nokia.
a video about G vs X series price and performance what to buy
Never owned the Scirocco as it was not released in the U.S.A. but the design and size was very good. I still like my current 8.3. 5G at #1 tho...
Perfect List, just I will add Nokia 8.3 as number 1 🙂
Thanks! 8.3 is truly great :)
My Nokia 4.2 still lives and is working smooth :)
I have used nokia 6 nokia 8.1 it was superb then still i own was waiting for 8.3 5g but it was not launched in India so switched to Motorola now still Nokia Fan
I own Nokia 6.2 and man the display is awesome for that price point. On a mobile display is my first priority and I 💙 PureDisplay.
I think the most legendary phone of Nokia/HMD era is definitely 6.1 . The unbreakable piece of iron and overall a perfectly designed phone
Can you Add the Nokia 9 pureview,
I bought Nokia 3 about 6 months after release and since that didn't have a chance to upgrade
And since there wasn't any other option for 150$ with latest Android version and 2 major updates
I count myself EXTREMELY LUCKY🤞🤞🤞
Hi Stefan, the natural evolution of the 7 plus is the X20. It definitely doesnt freeze!
@@AbdullaZaki 👍tanks for the tip
@@AbdullaZaki Thanks 👍
I watched the video in my Nokia 8 Sirocco now; undoubtedly, Nokia 8 Sirocco is the best from the stable of Android phones by Nokia...
I wish Nokia X71 was released worldwide, it would be the perfect phone..
My present Dream phone is xr20 ❤️
1) Nokia XR20
2) Nokia 8.3
3) Nokia X10/X20
4) Nokia 5.4
5) Nokia 5.3/Nokia G50
Still have my nokia 7+
My first phone was
Nokia 6030 (2007)
Then
Nokia 6120 classic (2008 - 2013)
Nokia 7 Plus is definitely one of the best devices of the HMD era of Nokia. It looked great. The bronze finish is elegant and timeless. Great performance too for the price. Shame that the new devices are just so bland and dated-looking
"And I love that it knows exactly what it wants to be"
And there you go, that is literally all HMD has to do. Make phones that know what they are and want to be instead of being all over the place, that's all they need for success.
I see what you did there adding in the 6.1 plus >.>
TO be honest if the Sirocco hadn't removed the 3.5 port I would be right there with you even though I am no fan of the curved glass gimmick that Samsung threw at us.
I agree Adulla the xr20 is a cracking phone, loved the 8.3 as well and am actually enjoying the g50 5g as my work phone at the moment, excellent for the price. Great video by the way 👌😎
1. Nokia 8.3 5G
2. Nokia 7 plus
3. Nokia 7.2
4. Nokia 5.3
5. Nokia 6.1
For me best modern Nokia phone is still 8.3 5G and still waiting for next flagship😑
I heard siracco was good. But I love Nokia 8.1 and still using it.
Still rocking Nokia 7 Plus if you can believe it.
Still working well for you?
@@AbdullaZaki screen is a bit cracked, but works just fine for my uses.
I own X20 and it's great phone
Had Nokia 8 for very long time, surviving drops on concrete and into water..
but eventually, after few years of good service screen cracked..
The 845 is way better since it has very good software support in comparison with the 835 - It has very good linux mainline support and also is one of the best supported SoCs in general.
It didn't matter at all in the end because the 8 sirocco got updated twice and still runs the vast majority of apps you might use today. The points you mentioned are good but not why the 835 was criticised back in the day
@@AbdullaZaki it was outdated by the time sirocco got released
I suggest Nokia g21 and. 5.4 and xr20 these are best
Nokia best in its own way...but if you choose to compare to other yes nokia will not stand a chance to stand out... but one things that only nokia can... that is nostalgic value... they already have the fame...
Nokia 8 sirocco most perfect phone I ever had.
They should have shipped it with saphire glass.
i owned 6.1 plus
I wish Nokia would remake Lumia 1020 android version in yellow. That would be so cool, I'd buy one.
me too!
me too, i have Nokia 1320 and i love it
My picks would be the 7 plus, 8 Sirocco and 7.2
They must push the marketing strategy on this.. the design, the spec, performance, price and practicality in use, after all it is Nokia.. No. 1😁✌️
1. Nokia 8.3
2. Nokia 7 plus
3. Nokia 8.1
4. Nokia 6.1
6. Nokia 5.1
Did Nokia produce 6.3?
Nope, but they changed the naming scheme. The successor of the 6.2 is kind of the X10
@@AbdullaZaki thanks. Keep up good work
Here I am watching this video using my Nokia 7 Plus.
I'm pretty good with my 4.2❤️
Why not 5.1 plus ?at price from nokia the specs is good
I really love my 6.1 - so classy.
Cool video
Me parece falta promoción de esta fabulosa marca..nadie o pocos conocemos 🤔
Nokia 7 Plus da bestttttt.
I like Nokia g20 for how stylish it looks
The Nokia X10 makes a great first impression but is let down by choppy performance and a general lack of mid-range frills
Pros
Budget price
Good battery life
Decent suite of cameras
Cons
Laggy performance
Uninspired software
Bulky build
1.Nokia 8.3 5G
2.Nokia 7.2
3.Nokia 7 Plus
Nokia 6.1 plus ❤
Nokia G20 is one of the worse Nokia phone in history, with a chipset of MediaTek and it keeps hanging. To make a simple call, it takes me 2 minutes before I can dail a number. I regret buying this phone.
I wasn't a fan either. Now there are a couple of things you can do to make it better. Keep at least 25% of the memory empty, don't use an SD card if you are, and reduce animation speed from developer options. It won't completely fix it but it will help a bit
Nokia 6 should be there
That thing was built like a tank
i am Happy with Nokia 5.4
Nokia missed the point after the 7 Plus. If it continued with that philosophy and improved it would have been better now. Not making forgettable mid rangers.
