Thanks for the vid and displaying your break out box. DTR was a great guy. He will be missed. People will be using his videos as a powerstroke source for years to come. Edit - Mind sharing more about your truck like whats all been done to it?
Deena Robbins a simpler method, probably cheaper too is a Android device, probably have one, elm327 module 5$, app:car gauge pro 10$. It allows you to buzz test the injectors.
@@cekiert Correct. I love the oldschool breakout box, and I am sure it is a great diagnostic tool to have around. However in our day and age with supercomputers in our pockets there really is an app for everything. I would opt for the BAFX OBDII unit, a little more expensive, but the 7.3 motors do not play nicely with all code readers and do not actually operate on standard OBDII codes. I used the "forscan lite" app to pull codes and run an injector buzz test indicating an open circuit on #7 cylinder. I used to just throw parts at problems, but the affordability of aftermarket diagnostic systems these days has changed that. $20 for a interface and $5 for an app, Snapon would have charged you 5 grand for that.
Spray the exhaust manifold watch the good cylinder evaporate the water quickly..the dead cylinder water stay wet no heat..good injectors produce heat..
Very cool one of best 7.3 vids out there. Break out box === we use them extensively testing airplanes.
Thanks for the feedback. When I made this video there was not really anything like this out there.

Can you tell us where you purchased the electrical connection blocks that plug into the factory harness to build the breakout box
If I remember right I got them from Ebay.
I looked all over Ebay and found nothing. Is there a specific name I should be searching for
@@Enzo-of4bl42 pin connector, find a junk harness, that's how I built mine
Its a cool setup

I use spray bottle of water on exhaust manifolds
