Think the analysis of Biggar’s failure to pass to Adams in the corner ignores the fact he’d given away an intercept try just moments before. You can see it playing on his mind when he looks to pass initially. Doesn’t excuse the poor decision, but it’s clearly why he does it.

Speaking as an Irishman, we have a great habit of peaking the year before a World Cup, so to speak. However, it's looking good rn. We're as strong as we've been in ages. Would love to take it, but we'll have to see. Especially after France, this current Irish side is looking hard to beat. I think it´s safe to say that both Wales and England´s form over the weekend rather suggests their recent declines in form had a lot less to do with the identity of the national coaches than was previously assumed.
I had pretty much the same opinion as Gatland. Wales' discipline was poor and some players looked very rusty in the first half, but Wales were dominant in the second half - they just didn't convert anything. I reckon it will take 2-3 games but there are promising signs already that Gatland is having a positive affect.

See I don't think that's it. I think it's that the truly great teams know how and when to push it. Pretty sure you can say the same of Wales at their grand slam best, France now, 2015 All Blacks, many English and South African teams. Weaker teams cheat too, just get caught or don't have the skills to take advantage to the same extent.

Great analysis as per usual except the first time I would 100% disagree with that intercept analysis, in my opinion that 1 second is not enough to change lowe’s decision to go for the intercept, he knows he’s outnumbered and was always going to go for it. Bigger should have passed to the adams and then he maybe would have had the chance to go through the gap as Lowe rushed out and adams would have at least caught it ahead of Lowe whereas Williams couldn’t, or biggar should have just gone into contact himself after seeing the threat of Lowe

See I don't think that's it. I think it's that the truly great teams know how and when to push it. Pretty sure you can say the same of Wales at their grand slam best, France now, 2015 All Blacks, many English and South African teams.
Weaker teams cheat too, just get caught or don't have the skills to take advantage to the same extent.

@@kieranhanrahan2883 - don't get injured.. given we started w/ 4 fewer of the starters we intended to start with. Im honestly shocked they put as much effort into the first 20min. We lose another scrum half or prop and its likely curtains for this 6Ns.

Great analysis as per usual except the first time I would 100% disagree with that intercept analysis, in my opinion that 1 second is not enough to change lowe’s decision to go for the intercept, he knows he’s outnumbered and was always going to go for it. Bigger should have passed to the adams and then he maybe would have had the chance to go through the gap as Lowe rushed out and adams would have at least caught it ahead of Lowe whereas Williams couldn’t, or biggar should have just gone into contact himself after seeing the threat of Lowe
