LOVE THIS IDEA!! Super cute bite sizes. I’m going to have to try hah straws and glow sticks out. SO CUTE! (I’ve been struggling with getting my cotton candy to stick on paper straws…) Thank you so much!
I want to try bending the bamboo skewer stick end so it breaks the end over like an "L" shaped hook to start spinning and get a hard grip to start . But the rolled copy paper and tape home made paper cone handles are ok .
Have you ever had any customers concerned over hay straws due to allergies? Do you leave the hay straw packaging visible so people know what you're spinning on? Do you keep alternatives on hand in case someone asks?
Thanks for all your informative videos! Do you have any suggestions for twirling? My wrist gets cramped up. Is there any tool that can easily twirl the stick? Thanks!
How do you package these for events? I made some last week after seeing your video but am struggling to figure out what packaging is best. I do the ice cream cones and I do those in triangular bags with twist ties to close them. I was thinking something similar, but curios what you use :)
Great question. We did a video on shelf life here: th-cam.com/video/RFs4LiROSM4/w-d-xo.html start around the 5:50 mark where we talk about cotton candy in open air environments. The short answer is it depends on the humidity in your environment; High humidity will begin melting cotton candy as soon as it is spun, while low humidity environments will allow the cotton candy to stay out for hours.
Vivo i think i know which one . I have similar and i found out when the sugar ring is building around the big bowl mine is too hot a tiny bit . I turn the knob a tiny but at a time lowering the temoerature and i get 6 cones instead of 3 small cones . But yiu can just put the sugar ring back through again . But it makes more cotton longer if i get the temperature lower . And dont pour water through until you are done saving the hard ring or don't want it . And never pour water through the big gold medal whirlwind brand cotton candy machine spinner head she is using in this video . . It is made completely differt on the inside than a vivo or rovsun , or medium machine. Water will break those and thise achines cost $1000 . But they throw out a ton of cotton for sure . Im ok with mine though .for now .
Love this video! I live in a high humidity area. I would like to spin on a colorful paper straw and bag. I will need to make the straw air tight. Any suggestions?
Twist ties may work, but it won't be air tight. You might be able to heat seal the bag once the puff is inside, like a heat seal right over the paper straw? I haven't attempted it, but it may work.
I just came across this page and I love and learnt so much thanks so much I even subscribed so I don't miss out 🙈 Kindly asking for your email would love to learn more about products to use

can these mini puffs be achieved on the vivo machine?
You can, but you have to work extremely fast as the Vivo disperses vertically.
So informative! Thanks for the links!
Thanks for watching!

Is it the same process to spin on rock candy? 0:26
Yep!
Great info! How long can they sit out at an event? I know air usually would cost melting or shrinkage.. thanks for the info

Made these used yogurt covered sprinkled pretzel rods as a stick tho
Fun!!!
Great idea
How do I store my mini puffs if I'm using the next day
You may be able to bag each one individually, but I haven't tried and it would need to be a thick bag and great seal so that they don't shrink
