    I’m an adoptive mom of three kids adopted from foster care. It’s so hard. A lot of times we are painted as the “bad guys” when people see a discrepancy between their behavior and neurotypical children’s behavior. You not only have a hard time with your children’s behavior, but also from the judges of society as well. Thank you for bringing awareness to the society part of it.

    Loved last caller, Christian women do not leave their husbands unless he is a cheater or something else but not for being messy. At least he does watch kids, gets groceries and makes dinners. 🙏she finds joy and he finds purpose.

    Writing letters back and forth on paper… to take it a step further… I have done that for the great benefits of using paper 📄 and pen. You can then take a photo of it and send the photo of the letter … and you can them send it snail mail afterwards so that person can have the paper letters. I found this very beneficial….

    From a horse owner, I definitely recommend equine therapy ❤️ horses can heal things in your soul even without professional help, which I'm sure would be even more magical.

    I wonder if most men feel the way about their stay at home wives as Jessica does about her stay at home husband.

      Yeah he addresses that in another episode called “my girlfriend has gotten fat” or something like that and the advice was different but we are very different and should be approached differently about certain subjects.

      some probably do, however when they express it they will be told to "man up" and "take care of your family" total double standard!

    • @razmiddle9410
      @razmiddle9410 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Probably, yes, especially if they've allowed themselves to get obese the way that Jessica's husband has. If money is short, there's no excuse for an able-bodied adult to not work when your kids are in high school.

      That's why I refuse to stay at home anyway. I'm not waiting til the kids are older to start over for a new job. Vacation time and all that takes time to grow.

    I don't wanna divorce, but I don't like him, and I don't wanna change me, and I don't wanna try to work on it, I just gotta suck it up, but I don't wanna suck it up, I wanna be a good wife, but he's SUCH a bad husband, but yeah, I wanna stay, and I'm perfect, I do everything, yeah, he cooks dinner and helps out with the house, but that's not enough and it's not the important stuff, I wanna wear the pants, but I want him to wear the pants...
    That last call was exhausting. Do you wanna be married or not? If so, make the peace. If not, go. No shame in either. But you are fighting a losing battle.

    I would ask the last caller what kind of marriage is she showing her kids? Not a loving one. She is too focused on selfishness and not on loving her husband.

    When I was deployed in Iraq mail would take weeks to get to us if at all I dunno where he is at though. I dig the idea but it may not work out as well as John is thinking. Even priority shipping took a while to get to me.

  • @ComfortingGrace
    @ComfortingGrace 2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    Yeah...you know why your kids are so well behaved? Because they had a stay at home parent. I think that is a big mistake to have both parents working full time...even when the kids are teens.

      I actually worked and travelled through my children's early childhood and elementary school. As they hit junior high school I realized they needed me more than ever. I quit working and homeschooled them until 10th grade when they wanted the "high school experience." It was very interesting when my youngest was in 5th grade, we were in the Smithsonian Natural History museum and an older gentleman asked my husband if he was homeschooled or in a private school. My husband said homeschooled, why? His response was that our child was well behaved and asked intelligent questions. We felt we were accomplishing our goal of molding productive adults.

      Women break up relationships 70% of the time. Married or not. They are the ones that file first. Rare that a man is the one that says I want out. I am 50 and never married. She would have to put an Academy Award performance to get me on board with Marriage. In my head. I think that 75 % of Heterosexual relationship are going to experience going in and out of relationships and death of a partner is not a factor with it at all. Its because we are living longer and most humans can't put up with boredom and the status of just one person for life. The best thing for most people is don't even think about getting married until they are Late 20's at the earliest Most of my friends/aquintances that got married in their early 20's are Divorced. Its like they want so much excitement everyday that it sets them up for failure.
