Been listening to some of the older podcasts as well of the new ones- I’ve definitely noticed that the more difficult the persons life is or has been & the more incredibly serious failures/challenges they’ve faced, the more interesting the story & the person is- just adds so much more depth to their story and makes it so much easier to engage!

I come to these conversations expecting to be interested and learn about our differences but what I Adore is that regardless of what we expect what I actually find is connection, recognition, acceptance, peace and ease. That story where a Ford Fiesta rolled up on wretch when he was a kid is unfortunately very relatable. Early 2000 era on my way home, I used to have group of young adults ask me what school year was I in? Then I would answer and they would move on but it would as if though they were looking for someone to hurt. The ends can drag you into a hood life purely because of the environment

I once took a group of girls who had become involved in the gangster lifestyle to his concert back in the day. It was the best concert any of us had been to. It made them see bigger than than the hood life. As an entertainer he is the real deal. True talent.

It's crazy listening to Wretch now. Someone else said this: "how can the British expect to be respected in rap when we don't appreciate or respect our own?". One of the greatest lyricists we've produced making impactful beautiful music and some amazing videos. Now look at the numbers of views his videos are getting
