Grounding is a term mainly useful is dc Circuits. Ground is a point in the circuit where voltage potential is zero. Amplifier is a good example. In a amplifier negative volt, ground, positive voltage potential all three exist

Metal bodied equipment and coil related equipment require earthing so they give 3 pin. Equipment with plastic body does not require earthing because plastic does not conduct electricity, so 2 pin is used.

தம்பி முழுக்க தவறு. earth னா பூமி அதில Connect செய்தால் earth. பூமியில் Connect செய்யாத earth உண்டு அது ground .அதுelectronics ல் மட்டும் தான் வரும். குழப்பமா இருக்குல

Good try, but earthing and grounding are same. As per Indian Standards IS 3043 'Earthing' and 'Grounding' terms are used synonymously.
Asian and European follow the term earthing in large whereas Americans follow the term Grounding.
