Not disagreeing with you.....but think about it. She was the communications director for (aside from Trump) the most idiotic, lousy communicating White House in modern history. Lest we forget, Bush Jr. was an idiot so unpopular at the end his own party wouldn't even speak his name. So - now the architect of that odious, lying flat tire of communications is somehow worthy of respect now?

When are folks going to learn, Chump DOESN'T negotiate with people. All he does is start with bullying and name calling, moves on to calling people by a nasty nickname, then if that doesn't work....PRETENDS to ignore them.
Chump refuses to learn that political negotiations are quite different from real estate negotiations. If you don't get what you want in politics you can't just move on. Eventually you will have to compromise.

The fact that this unconscionable, undisciplined, incompetent individual was elected President in the first place proves that perception is reality to a healthy number of Americans. So despite failing as a president from even his first thirty days, vast numbers of conservatives supported this clown. But when you start to lose even his most ardent base...your presidency is in jeopardy.

I really, really tried to follow Maddow for a few weeks but she goes on and on, and people associate that pedantry with "being thorough". It's more like you want to know what time it is, and Rachel starts by explaining how they make watches until you're sorry you asked and you're also late for your appointment.

Yeah but his *real* base is the 5% of republican voters that originally supported him in the republican primary, BEFORE the media gave him a trillion hours of free air time and treated him as the inevitable nominee, despite the fact that he was barely top 10 in his own party.
I agree that almost all of them will remain solidly loyal to him as long as he remains radically anti-liberal. For a lot of Americans, It's no longer a matter of what's best for the country, but who has the better propaganda. Critical thinking seems to be waning.

He's not a conservative. He loves to change things. Why, one day he changed free flowing traffic into a traffic jam just because a local mayor didn't support him! Who paid for it? Why, the voters of course! All because Christie wanted to spite someone, so he had the entrance lanes to the George Washington Bridge closed to punish the people who voted for that mayor. The mark of a mean loser.

The reason they're called his base is bc they're just like him except maybe they may not be as big of a liar as he is. They accept and believe every lie he tells no matter how big or small, with never questioning him. They, for some unknown reason accept and believe every lie he tells them. I get liking and supporting your candidate, but when every other word that comes out of their lie hole (mouth) is an outright lie, well that's something I'll just never be able to understand why anyone would lower their intelligence to that level and believe them. They must really like being lied too. I was taught not too lie and not too believe anyone that does. The sad part of it all is most of them were taught the same thing I was, yet it doesn't seem to bother them. Never trust a liar. They are dishonest and cannot be trusted. Hopefully they will snap out of it and come to their senses and use their common sense and intelligence to recognize that he is lying to them. Thanks and have a great day.

Authenticity, Seth? What authenticity does Trump have? Authenticity means true and genuine. Trump is the exact opposite of authentic. What appealed to his supporters is his crassness, his racism, and his fourth grade vocabulary. They saw themselves in him.

1) If you are going to pedantic about about whether the 'authenticity' is the correct term for what they mean you can't just say the sh-t you *feel* like it means. True & genuine are both synonyms of authentic so they are similar-ish terms, but they don't literally mean the same thing.
2) Literally anytime a journalist, commentator, or media outlet uses the term authenticity or authentic in relation to a political figure they use it in the exact same way Seth did here. Also, as far as that goes the things I imagine you are meaning in reference to his "crassness" & his racism is in fact as you say the things they relate to & what makes him "authentic" in the way the word is being used.
I'm going to ignore the 4th grade vocabulary part because while I don't disagree with you on it, but because I don't agree with you use of it here as a way to try to sh-t on people who voted for him as all being ignorant & stupid. I just watched her video claiming Trump confessed to the Ukraine slander, because he mentioned Joe Biden in a sentence. I saw the Quid Pro Joe confession video, where he actually BRAGS about extorting the Ukrainian President with a billion dollars of aid to fire the prosecutor investigating his son!! Which is exactly what she accuses Trump of doing, while in the same breath says there is no evidence against quid pro Joe. Like Trump or not, the EVIDENCE is clear, right out of Joe Biden's big mouth, Joe brags about doing it, and the left gives him a pass, while accusing Trump of the same thing, on HEARSAY evidence, from a bunch of sour grapes, disgruntled gossips!! Ms. Wallace's MSNBC show offers the best roundtable political analysis on cable news. MSNBC should move her to prime-time. She possesses a quick wit that helps drive home her points without getting in the way of them. I think that she and Rachel Maddows bring something to the news that few, if any, other cable news show hosts do -- some humanity.

If I remember correctly, Chris Christie as US Attorney for New Jersey put Jared Kushner's father in prison for two years for various crimes. For that reason, Christie didn't get the nod for Vice President despite being one of the first major Republicans to support Trump. I'm not surprised he dumps on Jared Kushner in his book. But I think Christie, just like Giuliani, is forever tainted by his support for Trump.
