I carry a knife every day. Collecting for 60 years. You’ll be happiest with 0562 or 562CF. You can wear it on the belt or keep it in the pocket as this one clip will do it all for you. Looks sensational. The steel is very good and I caught the sharpest edge of any factory knife ever! The knifes action copies a full custom. You’ll love it. Best value on the table for a top notch knife.
own a 0450. this was my first (expensive) knife purchase, but once i held it i could tell it was quality and had to purchase on the spot. absolutely impressed and love the ball bearing system. havent had a single issue and i use this knife daily both at work and at play

They did make the ZT 0900 that had a 2.7" blade (got discontinued).

This video is awesome. I met my father when I was 21 years old, and coming home from Iraq. Before he passed one of the only things he bought me was a ZT 0300. I've never really been knowledgeable about knives, but I appreciated the quality. I carry it every day on duty. It's no moon piece...that 999...whooo, but I like it. To see the 0350 really brought it back. Thanks guys. Also...Matt, teach me the ways of your craft! You make the videos rock!
Own the 0450CF and 0804. they are both fantastic. I switch off between the two of them as my EDC depending on what I'm wearing and what I'm doing that day. Planning on picking up the 0801 as well.
I love ZT, they're my favorite production knife company. I love every Rexford design that's out.
I collect knives in the worst way. I buy two at once of the same model. One I use and one I keep mint.

I have an Emerson ZT and it’s the best knife I’ve ever owned. Better built and smoother than any of my Spydercos, Benchmades, my Microtech, my Ferrum Forge, or anything else I’ve owned. Really a joy to use!

I recently ordered a 0562cf from you guys, it will be my first zt but after handling a freinds collection yesterday it definately wont be my last! these knives are fantastic and im already planning on an 0460 to add to my edc pocket carry rotation

Great job. Took home the 452CF. Liked it so much I got a 452TI a week later.
Was always an 0888 fan. Wish I collected ZT,s back when it was released. I got 6 now, the 0888 would be my holy grail in the collection. Fantastic knives, haven’t been disappointed with one yet!
I have ZT0566 for over 2 years now and I didn't have any real problems with the knife. I just broke torsion bar and pocket clip by accident, and even though it was 100% my fault ZT didnt even ask about it, they just sent me replacements parts for free. Their customer service is great.
I recently bought the 0452cf and god do i LOVE it. I have 3 knives in the $200 range. This is by far the best.
I currently own a 0562ti and use the hell out of it so decided to buy another this past week but the 0562cf with full titanium blue screw/standoff set and a custom anodizing job on titanium frame lock side of knife. if I was to take another ZT home that's on table in this video it would have to be the 0999. I love carbon fiber on my knives and I love how they incorporated copper in the blade steels. usually a huge fan of knives that have micarta, carbon fiber, brass, copper, titanium, timascus, moku-ti, zircu-ti and zirconium and a high quality blade steels. best knife I currently own is a Custom Knife Factory CKF Philipe Jourget FIF20 with a m390 blade, zircu-ti bolsters and pocket clip with carbon fiber scales. knife is absolutely amazing and has the smoothest action I've ever felt on a knife. matches my zirc tactile turn pen/pencil set that both have timascus bolts and pocket clips perfectly as well which is kinda why I bought knife in first place. lmfao

I found a 0566cf the other day in a river kayaking. No clue how long it was in there but its in great shape! S35vn no rust, great action out of the river! Never saw myself buying a zt till now
0350....I really Appreciate Knives that are Simple and Basic in Appearance but can be Worked Hard...and The Bug Out Video is one of my Favorites

I recently purchased a 0562ti and plurple hardware from Australia. My favorite EDC. The 0999 also looks great.

My favorite is the classic ZT 0350. Nice collection guys
I friggin love ZTs. They're just badass. Not always as practical as Spyderco, Benchmade and Kershaw but they are just so badass.

I'm seriously going to look into the 0462 because that up-swept blade look and the extra room for my fingers. Also that red CF! Too Cool!
I personally own a 0562CF, but unfortunately I got mine when they were doing them in 204P. Not a bad steel, but I like the 20CV better myself. Beautiful knife though. I wanted something beefy for camping and hard tasks, and it fails to disappoint. Looks really pretty too, but that's just a bonus.
Alex Gentry 20cv and 204p are virtually identical steels. They’re just made by different companies.
House of Jello Productions perhaps it was the heat treat. I'm not sure. That's the only 204p knife I've had and I want quite a happy with it as I was with the several I've had in 20cv though
0450CF by far. I’m all in on narrow blades.
Great review! I'm kinda new to the knife game. Bought a Benchmade. Thought it was great. I do like the Axis lock. Then I bought a ZT (0452cf) and absolutely chuckled at how mediocre the ZT made the Benchmade look re: quality, fit and finish. Is that normal? The centering on the Benchmade was awful. Love ZT!!!! 🤙🏻

I own the 0450 full ti and i Love it! But I can't wait for the 0609 to come out, that thing is gorgeous.
ZT0566 in S35vn is the best working knife they make when u take the assist off.

I bought my first ZT maybe 3 years ago because of NCIS, Gibbs was wearing that tiger striped one. Never owned that version because I've never really seen a good review on it.

I have the 0900GLD (under 3-inches 😲) and the 0450G10. The 0450G10 is most definitely the overall favorite.
New ZT designs seem to be purely for collectors. They look like jewelry for a display case. They don't have ANY traction on the handle scales. Pure "bling". I miss the old Ken Onion designs SO much. 0200, 0300 (series), 0350, 0400, 0500...
fadetoblack73 I really miss the 0200 too. I also dont like the 3 "new" designs at all (0462 just a bigger 0460, 0609 is exactly the same design as the special edition just smaller etc.)

This. Cmon ZT whats with the disgusting blue and/or gold ano? In 2018? I might have bought the 0393 if the scales didn't look like you tried to cheap out with a cf thong. Stop the bigger smaller uglier remixes, at least try to make it seem like your design decisions aren't based on septum-pierced-painted-eyebrow-tramp-stamped-hipster-big-data-market-trend-cash-grabs. Bedazzle.exe has stopped responding
The most aggravating part about the blue/gold knife, the 0606CF, was the fact that they released a more subdued, blacked-out version but only in Russia. I had the regular version and it was functionally fantastic but the gaudy appearance was too much for me so it got sold.
fadetoblack73 idk. My 452 cf definitely doesn’t sit in a case, it’s one of my favorites. I’ve never had a hard time hanging onto it. Some of their knives are definitely more for show I guess. Can’t say I’ve ever been a huge fan of ken onion, some of his recent stuff is ok tho
I just bought a 0566 about a week ago and love it so far, great blade! The only change ive made is a deep carry pocket clip from mxg gear. Off of the table here I would take home the 0850, beautiful knife. I also have the 0393 on pre-order which I'm excited for.
Zt are nice even though I don’t have any. I always seem to have some in my cart but in the end I buy like a benchmade, Spyderco, reate, etc...

Zac, try using paint brush cleaner (the kind which can clean acrylic or oil paint) on the more stubborn dirty spots. I'm a working man myself, I've used it to clean everything from burnt conveyor belt smudges to Aluminium silicate grit off my skin. Still haven't found something it would not wash off.
I wouldnt use it on your skin, unless you want serious health problems like cancer.
I like that you very discretely mentioned the problem they have with their product names. The rep should have picked up on that. I've lost patience figuring out which models are which. I'm sure it's costing them sales for people like me. Why not throw in the overall size (M,S,L,XL) or assist (AS) like they do with the carbon fibre (CF). Or even a style grouping.
I`m a Leatherman and kind a Sog guy so... i dont feel that attraction for ZTs in general. But they are nice. Awesome vid guys!!
I have a ZT 0700 BLK and must say it is quite robust. It is a g-10 scaled flipper, looks like titanium liner lock, s30v steel, flat grind kind of a tanto. Easily sharpens to like a razor and shaves my arm hair with no pressure needed. There is no play
If all their blades are like this I would not hesitate to buy another.

I own 2 folding knives. A benchmade Griptilian which is my edc, and a Boker Magnum Starfighter.

Is the 801 Ti sold out or discontintued ? Something about "holes in the show-side" (e.g. Benchmade Adamas)...me likes. And ZT does have a knife for Ben from ZT the "22"...it's a "5th pockewt" compact life...not cheap for the size...not sure if it has a 20cv blade...definitely sub 3" blade...
I love ZT (my favorite being the 0562) but I have an issue with the 0801TI... there’s a rattle when you shake it. I’ve handled others to make sure it wasn’t just mine and every 0801ti has this issue... it isn’t the only zt with this issue but once you hear it, it can’t be unheard
If I could ever get my hands on one, I would personally love a dang 0606CF. Not TOO happy about the size/blandness of the 0609, but I guess that's what I get to deal with since I didn't even know when the 0606CF went to market in the first place.

If you're going to ask which we'd take home, you should do a shot at the end with all of the knives and their names. By the time I'd seen this many knives, I'd lost track of names and numbers.
I'm a metallurgist by training, but I'm not super impressed with the fancy metallurgy of the last one. The idea is cute, but I'm not sure how much practical value it has.

This video is nearly a year old to the day when I re-watched it. As of writing this comment the ZT 0393 is on the verge of discontinuation and I purchase one for $180 tonight at BladeHQ. I pulled the trigger not only for the price, but at the time of filming this video there was no way we knew about the upcoming ZT 0393GLCF for 2019, something I plan to get the moment its available.
Matt- Have to disagree on numbers over names. Chinese companies like WE, Kizer and Bestech changed to names due to consumer complaints. Also, not all ZT's have great builds. Don't like the models where the scales are screwed into aluminum backapacers without the screw being captured. Ben get the 0450. Great knife for your tastes.
That being said, I do love ZT overall.

I'm not sure why most people skip the 0566 cf. I have owned 2, it's a hell of a knife. That 999 though, I wish I get buy one or the 392's when they launched. I'm always to late.

Hey guys, an idea for a KB episode: knives for long distance/thru hikes. Some things that factor in - weight is super important, also access, function (cutting food to cutting wood), durability. Some people take tiny knives they only ever cut string with, others start with huge fixed blades and may or may not finish with them. I've got a distance hike coming up and looking at options - thinking of taking two, a Ladybug 3 and an Izula, but would love your input, maybe with a long distance hiker as a guest? Many thanks.
Thanks Eric. For long trail hiking I'm looking for a base weight as low as possible. The Garberg seems like a heavy option at almost half a pound with a sheath. What would you say makes the extra weight worth the carry? Why do you think it's better for the needs of the trail than say a Rainier Fastpack at around 1/4 the weight? Thanks.

Great vid love the zero tolerance knives. I love the new hindered design with the blue on the grip, but would have to take the 999 if given a choice. Disclaimer: I own the 456 & 460, which are fantastic, and might have been my choice otherwise.

Hey BHQ! Question, does ZT ever make any non-frame locks or frame locks with scales on the back side? I do not like knives that only have a given handle material on one side. I've owned a few but now its a deal breaker no matter what just about.
0350 is my current edc. Love that knife.

I love ZT knives. Never owned one but I would love to hopefully sometime down the road. Still a little expensive for me. Still rocking my Kershaw Cryo II

Had a 350 that I used for hard work and it could take an absolute beating!! Got too confident in its build and snapped the tip off one day 100% my fault tho an amazingly built knife
