same. I did a regrind on it right out of the box and it's perfect. the blade is way to thick stock, it's a pry bar with an edge. Now mine cuts like a kitchen knife.
I would like to see a 0451. The 0450 is a bit small, while the 0452 is more than I need for most tasks. I had the blue Ti, but ended up selling it. It freaked out Gertrude. 😄
Sold my 0452 because I thought the 0562 was better. Boy was I wrong, after a few months of use, I started to get annoyed by the "thumbstuds" these scrape your finger on cIosing the knive, the curved flipper feels oversized and not comfortable compared to the 0452 and it doesn't fly open as nicely as the 0452, its the lenght of the blade that makes the difference there. So I sold the 0562, and pruchased the 0452 again.. prefer the pocket sword over the hinderer.
Just ordered!! Can't wait!! In NY, outside of NYC, there is no limit to blade size. NYC it needs to be under 4". Never go into the city anymore. It's a dump!

I’ve got a lot of knives, Benchmades, sogs, spyderco etc and since getting this knife it’s been the only thing I’ve been carrying, once in a while when I want a beater I’ll grab my Benchmade 810 contego but 99% of the time I’m carrying the 0452, it’s classy, cuts great and can handle big jobs, love it
My 0452CF is in the 14,000 range for the serial number and was already drop shut when I got it, but I've installed some aftermarket MRBS cages and now it can go toe to toe with my Norseman in terms of fall shut smoothness.
Me and the wife had a Croc Dundee moment in a parking garage with a couple of thug life youngsters. They loudly demanded my keys while flashing a couple of cheap 3 inchers, I snapped the 0452 open and said "OK, Let's dance!" They left in a hurry without the keys. Now that's a knife! The wife thought I should have just handed the keys over.....Oh well, she got in a better mood as we drove our non stolen vehicle home. Highly recommend this ZT

I purchased this when it first came out after handling it a couple of times and passing on it because of the clip! Now there are too many knives to carry, so this one is forgotten. I have to add, that this is one that I will keep though. Thanks for reminding me to not buy so many knives! Will I buy another one this weekend? Definitely!

Why are you bothered by the smaller body screws? Most of my folders utilize larger torx on the pivot than on the body screws. Also, the pocket clip on this knife is NOT ADEQUATE for the length and weight of this knife! Don't ask me how I know...

I think it's definitely an issue, just nowhere near as big as people made it out to be. There aren't nearly as many models affected as people claim. It's also something that occurred on older models from a year or two ago and beyond. Newer ZT models are fine. You'll still hear claims of newer ZTs failing, but you'll find that those people rarely offer video evidence of newer (2018 +) ZT knives failing. They just say something like "ZT's have lock failures" and then fall silent when you ask for evidence, or they'll refer to an outdated video, or one that shows force that would disengage ANY framelock, which is nonsense. I have personally never experienced lock failure on any ZT knives. New or old 👍
That pivet is too ugly and titanium wearing on steel is a no go. Needs a steel insert. Emerson titanium liners wear all the way accross in 2 months. I found that out myself.

Bought the ZT 0452GL CF last year and I love it. But my latest purchase was a CRK Impinda. Both are great but very, very different.

As Metal Complex has shared before, T6 screws are prone to stripping. That’s why he favors T8 screws over T6.
Ah, the short sword I carry from time to time. Love it's blade length to handle and weight ratio.
