The Agora show on that box set from Cleveland is killer . I pretty much grew up in that place lol. This vids awesome cuz it's from a ways back too. Nice drop ,thx much appreciated. ;8)
Free form Frank. Stretchin that SG to the limit, then reelin it back in! Awesome vid, timeless tunes. Sounds as good today as it did back then. Thanks for sharing. Prayers for Franks health. I hope what he has ain't too serious?
Mid to late 1990's I saw the band in Austin. If I remember correctly this would have been later in the year, perhaps early October While waiting for the show, up drives a Silver Eagle bus with a trailer, just like he mentions in Midnight Highway. The whole family was with him. Offloaded minimal equipment into the club, did a killer show, packed it all up and drove away. I got a poster or something autographed, but who knows where it is today. I have moved too many times since then. I also got some quality time with a couple of crew members. Other than the drunk that had to be thrown out, everyone was pretty cool and just there to enjoy the music. I had a blast! For this tour, his brother wrangled the family while Frank played, except for a couple of songs for which he came down and played with the band. He can play almost as good as Frank. I miss getting to see them play live.
The white Jimi Hendrix. You can absolutely tell that Frank idolized the genius, as he faithfully carries on the tradition of the original guitar god. Frank is the little more technical, jazz blues player though while Hendrix remains the undefinable enigma, pure acid sacrifice. To Frank and his mentor Jimi, all but worship.
Never seen/heard anyone better in the rock/blues/shred genres.....Frank is THE MAN
