I really love the fact that your vlogs revolves around the Philippines, its music and its people and its genuine. Many reactors only does react to Philippines to gain popularity and when popularity goes down, they're gonna switch to other country reaction. Thank you for being honest❤
Welcome back Ovela. It's so cute that she's feeding you. You've got a full hands naman kasi. In a lot of cultures, feeding someone food is a sign of love and respect. Cant wait for your adventures and cheers to the both of you. Also, what's the white mic you're using in this video. Looked in your gear section pero wala doon.
Fifty years ago when my family and I immigrated to the US and have not been back since then. Watching you embrace my culture especially the food makes me envious and want to go visit so badly. Enjoy your time there. You two are absolute adorable.
Wow Happy to see you both in the market enjoying filipino foods I love Ovela how he taste all the foods Amazing you are not picky Great couple ❤❤❤ GODBLESS 🙏🙏
what an ideal to start a family. joan was so natural, modest and beauty. she was a typical modern Filipina. Hope for the very fruitful and enjoyable beginnings (personal and work aspect] here in the Philippines. God Bless You.......
Jackpot! Nice to see you find love. Find the right woman and keep her. If you find the right life, keep it. I'm a bloke whose not afraid to admit that I'm kilig watching you both.
nakaka miss taho, it's soft tufo , with caramel sauce . Parang coffee jelly sa sarap! Uminom kayo pure mango shake , Pilipinas No 1 sa pure Mango shake. Lalo sa greenbelt

Love that you have fallen in love with my fave as well, the Pinoy pan de sal (literally: _bread of salt_ ) so be aware as there have been pan de sals sold that are sweeter than they should traditionally be, or too soft and chewy which they shouldn't be ü To complete the Pinoy experience, dunk pan de sal into _kapeng barako_ (Liberica coffee; "barako" is a regional Tagalog word that means a "stud," so it says something about the kick out of the Liberica variety from Southern Luzon) =D _(BTW, Joan, besides soft tofu/soy sweetened by caramelized sugar, the taho [tah-HOH'] and has-MUST!, right?-to have sago (aka "pearls"). )_ === Re: Bananas - Ovela @musicgamenews, the large bananas are usually exported, but "large" bananas for export are usually the ones with pesticides and other sprayed-on preservatives so they withstand the handling and length of overseas "travel" ü Ex.: Dole bananas abroad ARE from the Philippines in Mindanao. Otherwise, North America gets their bananas from Merxico and other SA countries. Those in all our markets are naturally harvested from the banana trees as you might expect. There are at least 5 banana types in the markets; more in the islands where some wild types are found but in limited quantities. === Is the skewered sausage hamonado not pork, though? Or was it vegetarian "pork?" Re: the _puto bumbong_ - its dark color originally came from a rare variety of dark-colored rice which is why _puto bumbong_ was only made and served during Christmas time in the old days (as in more than 100yrs ago), These days, sticky rice is used and colored dark, even purple, but ube is not an ingredient. Suman - You're correct, @musicgamenews, suman malagkit and varieties of wrapped or open-type (unwrapped; cake-type) sumans from all over the country are cooked with coconut milk ü Great sense of taste! As for your viewers keeping distance when you're together, it's their (our) way of giving you space, respecting your moments. Not to mention, of course, that most have known you by just yourself vlogging for so long, and also that it's a combination of things that we're all witness to: your first time really immersing in the country, and first time with a significant other…so, we respect that. =D Travel safe, you two! Cheers ü
I really love how you're having time here in the Philippines. If you're going to continue this food trip, you will be ending up gaining some weight. 😁😁😁
Before you saying you wishing that someday you go to the philippines my friend you really wanted to go therebut nowyour not just to go there alone and try the food but you also with your filipina gf im so happy for u my friend hope you wil enjoy and have safe trip God bless to you my friend
5:45 You should take him to a corner bakery where pan de sal is served piping hot and straight from the oven. BYO coffee when you go. Nothing like fresh baked pan de sal. Very nostalgic. PS: you should’ve had him try pan de coco. So good😋
if you really want to go deeper on food culture, you have a long way to go brother, every province has its own delicacy. from main dish to snacks to dessert.
i have been watching ovela since 2018, and i really thought he is a muslim. then here he is eating pork sausage. yeah, not muslim. hahaha. nice to see you in PH
19:58 Puto bumbong is purple due to the purple variety rice (most our desserts are essentialy rice cakes) used. It’s very dark purple. However some use grated ube mixed with regular glutinous rice. You can tell the difference, the latter being a lighter color purple but still very purple. Again, too bad you didn’t ask for the shredded coconut. But they should have had it, I’m sure they forgot. Or maybe it’s in the bag. lol.
suman malagkit actually has coconut.. its glutinous rice cooked using coconut milk that has been boiled with brown sugar...My grandma usually put vanilla extract and ginger to add more flavor.
19:00 they forgot the freshly grated coconut to go on top of puto bumbong but also butter or in your case, in the PH, the margarine while hot the coconut shreds and muscovado sugar on top. 😋😋😋
The puto bumbong is usually topped with freshly grated coconut, not just musvovado sugar. The play of textures is most satisfying. Durian plus brewed coffee go well together.
I SUGGEST YOU GO TO BACOLOD - MANOKAN COUNTRY IN FRONT OF SM BACOLOD.. YOU GO TO AIDA's CHICKEN INASAL.. ITS THE BEST CHICKEN INASAL.. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
