Absolutely love your work, especially your compilation videos. They make for great listening material while I’m working and are so informative. Definitely help me to remember and gain insight to all my favorite sci-fi and fantasy shows!
I remember when the Undine first showed up and destroyed that Borg planet, it was so cool. They are definitely my favorite of Voyager’s additions to Trek.
I think this was one of my least favorite parts of Voyager. I just didn't understand why Janeway would ally with the Borg when they were the aggressor and the real threat. I hated that decision. It made me dislike the morality of a lot of the actions taken.
I think that's the point. Janeway isn't a perfectly moral person, in fact few people are in the star trek series. She will not sacrifice her crew for the wellbeing of a species that have stated intent to destroy all life in the galaxy, and she also needed a bargaining chip with the borg that would let her cross their space without Voyager being assimilated. From Janeway's perspective, trying to clear borg space is basically impossible. Finding that passage way was nice, but a captain like Janeway could not truly expect it to work. Imagine you were an allied soldier in WW2, dropped into Berlin at the height of Nazi Germanies power, and you have to find your way back to allied territory without being detected and you can't hide in the general populace because you don't speak German and don't look German so you'd be discovered immediately the moment someone saw you. Your only option is to hide and not be discovered as you make your way home. It's basically impossible to do this, and she recognized that. When she saw the opportunity to coerce the borg into an alliance where they couldn't assimilate her and the crew, she jumped at it, even if it was the borg who were the aggressors and at fault for the situation they're in.
3:22 Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage To find the hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea Tracing one warm line through a land so wild and savage And make a Northwest Passage to the sea
The Borg - should have known electronics & fluids don't mix. When 8472 made a totem pole of twisted Borgs drones. My initial thought was OK lets get the party started Voyager has an allied via the North West Passage.
But did they all permanently return to Fluidic Space? Or are they secretly active in the Milky Way and other nearby galaxies? It’s evident they can download Federation databases without being detected.
Yes I have, I wanted to do it for a long time but there are other series I want to do first and it's tough finding the time. Hopefully I'll get to it someday.

I love your videos man. The music goes so well with your tone of voice.
This is an updated version of an old video.
Nicely done! 2 of Trekverse's coolest most badass aliens!
Excellent breakdown of that Voyager episode.
awesome breakdown and video
I would like to see the Stories after the series.
There are books and more stories in Star Trek online, specially for voyager and Deep space 9
Star Trek Online is excellent. :)
CivEx!!!!!
Brilliant ❤😊😊😊😊😊😊
ugg, now i have to rewatch all of voyager :)
The borg collective vs the the green hive mind
Very cool!
Species 8472 did nothing wrong and the federation should've teamed up with them to wipe out the borg for good
Janeway: this is the Starship voy...
Species 8472: the weak shall perish!
*Blows Up Voyager and continues to clense the Galaxy*
They had no way of knowing Species 8472 were the victims

8472, Cobra-la, the Yuuzhan Vong... I'm sure are distant cousins lol

Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage
To find the hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea
Tracing one warm line through a land so wild and savage
And make a Northwest Passage to the sea
Would you potentially be able to do a Tamarian lore video
Maybe someday, I love that episode of TNG.
@@CivilizationEx mate its my absolute favourite episode of TNG getting absolutely baked and watching that is probably one of my favourite things to do
but the federation with scrip armor beat them with ease.
The Borg - should have known electronics & fluids don't mix.
When 8472 made a totem pole of twisted Borgs drones. My initial thought was OK lets get the party started Voyager has an allied via the North West Passage.
My favourite part of their plan was that it was just a sloppier version of the founders ongoing plan

Sweet
@CivilizationEx have you ever considered mass effect history ?
